Chapter 3: A Nice Shopping Trip

Early in the morning in front of a popular home goods store, Robin stood outside nervously waiting for Alice.

This would be the first time in both of his lives hanging out with a girl this pretty.

'Alright, Just gotta relax and act confident. You're a new rich kid, whose parents just died but left you millions and a couple of companies.' Robin mentally said to himself going over his new background story.

After all, being an orphaned rich kid would allow him to be able to explain a lot of things, plus it made him look a little more vulnerable.

'Let's see I have around $30,000 with me right now, and the minimum I'm gonna be spending here should be at least $10,000. Since it is all for me I won't get a cashback, but as long as I'm able to buy her one thing I should be able to Lvl up'

Looking at the system panel Robin confirmed his guess.

The moment Alice left her car she could feel all the states, which she had long been used to.

After reaching the homeware store she picked out, it didn't take long to see her potential client Robin.

"Why is he smiling like that?" Alice asked herself as she smiled at that walking ball of fat.

As she was walking up to him Robin's eyes finally left whatever he was looking at and met hers.

"Hey Robin, it's me Alice." Alcie said in a somewhat happy tone as she went up to him and shook his hand.

"O-O-H-Hey Alice it's finally nice to meet you." Robin stuttered as he looked at her. She was even prettier than when they FaceTimed yesterday.

"Ah the privileges of being good-looking," Alice said mentally as she glanced over what Robin was wearing.

'Weird, not one brand I can recognize.'

"So, Robin, Even though we agreed on the dinner meet-up tomorrow, why don't we also talk a little while shopping for your things? Also, what's your budget?" Alice asked, making sure to keep eye contact.

She really needed the Personal trainer contract, as she was about to run out of money once again.

This was her first test for him, as long as his budget was over $5,000, she would try even harder to get that personal trainer contract

'Even though his looks aren't my type, so far his character has been okay'

"Um yeah sure no problem, my budget is $10,000, and since the apartment came with pretty much everything, I'm just looking for some decorations, and things for the bathrooms. The only thing that needs furniture is my home office." Robin said shyly as he avoided eye contact with her.

Not that she was surprised, unless it was a very experienced man or a man who has been in a position of power for a long time, most men would avoid eye contact with a woman like her.

'Hmm, $10,000, and most of it will go towards his home office and decorations. Looks like he passed the first test, now onto the second.'

Walking around the store Alice and Robin talked more and more as they reached the home office decor section.

"That's not how hypothyroidism works." Alice said with a confused face as Robin explained why he was fat.

'Alright thankfully it's not genetics, he's just a lazy fuck.' Alice thought as Robin showed her a picture of what he looked like before he started gaining weight.

"Wow, you were pretty cute back then." Alice said in surprise.

"But still while hypothyroidism does make it easier and harder to gain weight, it's also completely treatable by taking levothyroxine tablets daily."

Looking around in the home office decor section, Alice quietly explained to Robin who had a shocked face.

"Don't worry, as long as you make your trainer, you don't have to worry about all that." Alice said with the sweetest smile she could make as she looked like a robin.

Seeing him blush, Alice couldn't help but laugh a little. After getting to know Robin more and more, she was beginning to become curious about him.

Some of the things he said would be so mature, yet the next moment he would say something so naive as if it were a fact.

"What do you think of this table? It looks pretty good plus it comes with a bunch of features." Alice said as she saw the stand up desk.

"Yea, whatever you say." Robin said, taking one of the slips for the desk.

"This is also good."

"Then let's do this as well."

As the two went along, Alice would suggest something, and Robin would just buy it no questions asked.

'She so fuckin Hot.' Robin thought as he remembered the smile that Alice had shown him.

"Alright sir your total comes out to $9,932.43, would that be cash or card?" The salesman interrupted Robin's inner thoughts.

"Just put it all on this card." Robin said, taking out a black card that the system had given.

Apparently, the card had a bunch of features that just needed to be explored

Once the card went through, Robin quickly glanced at Alice.

Yet seeing no reaction from her, Robin felt a bit disappointed. After all, his only strong suit at the moment was his money.

He wasn't good-looking, funny, or that interesting as the only thing he did the past few years was studying. And his past life was so mundane and ordinary he forgot most of it.

'I should really try to travel the world next summer or do something next summer.' Robin thought to himself.

Ironing out the details, all of his new furniture would be delivered in two days.

Gathering up his courage Robin turned to Alice and finally asked the questions that had been on his mind all day.

"So how about I get you something, for helping me out so much?" Robin asked, trying to keep a confident tone.

"No it's alright, it's just some simple shopping."

"No, please just let me, it's been a while since I've gone shopping with someone, Plus you can just treat it as a gift for you to become my personal trainer." Robin said nervously as he tried to get Alice a gift.

After all, his livelihood and future life depend on this!

Seeing Robin trying so hard to give a gift Alice couldn't help but laugh a little, this reminded her of the little licking dogs around her in college that would get her breakfast and lunch without her even saying anything.

"Alright, just get something small, I'll be in the cafe over there taking a call." Alice said with a smile as she walked away.

Looking at the slim beautiful back and little bounce that happened on her backside when she took a step, Robin couldn't help but feel over the moon.

"No problem, just give me a couple minutes." Robin quickly said as he walked to the store he saw earlier.

Looking at Robin's retreating figure as she sat in the coffee store a smile appeared on Alice's face, so far besides appearance Robin looked like he had a good amount of money on his hands.

"Well as long as his gift isn't too bad and the dinner goes well, there is a chance of us dating." Alice said to herself as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

She had a talk with her mother again, and the topic of settling down or getting a boyfriend at least came up again.

Especially as she got older, even though she was entering what she believed to be her prime, she no longer wanted to chase something that would bring more trouble than happiness.

Most rich men in the capital, unfortunately, came with a lot of baggage and problems, and those who didn't were either tightly controlled by their family or their current mistress.

That's why she was thinking about settling down with Robin if he proved to be somewhat okay.

While lost in her thoughts Alice didn't see the round ball of fat sitting down across from her.

Seeing the blank white box coming her way, Alice looked up to see Robin with a stupid grin on his face.

"Since you wanted something small I just got you a small bracelet, it wasn't much But I hope you like it."

"Well thank you, I'll take a look when I get home. See you tomorrow." Alice said as she walked away to a cab she called a while ao.

"Yeah see you tomorrow." Robin said with a smile as he heard the system notification.
