As we sat in the living room, she began to explain what had transpired over the past week. Negotiations had been ongoing, but no conclusive result had been reached.
"What negotiation? I can't believe I knew nothing about this," I whispered, my mind racing to process the information she was sharing.
Lizzy's voice was sympathetic as she continued, "We're negotiating about how to calm down the situation now."
And with that, my doubts increased.
"What do you mean? We have been investigating Matt's death, right? And we are looking for Sophia. What else are you suggesting?"
"No, it's not just about Matt's death. People are demanding fairness now. Some of them even want to resort to war."
