It was an opportunity to teach the three elders a lesson; trying to deceive us face-to-face wasn't going to work.
Xavier remained silent. He surely understood that the three elders from his family were in the wrong.
Karina continued, "Actually, a small amount won't cause any trouble. It's just that after this meal, who knows what might happen. We've just started eating, so it won't affect us much."
I chuckled. Since it wouldn't have a significant impact, let the three elders taste it too.
When the voices of the three elders sounded outside the door, the food was also served. We exchanged meaningful glances, pretending to eat normally. They happily walked in, and Ole began to arrange chairs for them.
"Thanks for the invitation, Madam. Actually, we've already had our meal in our rooms," the eldest one said, stroking his beard, smiling.
