Chapter 37 : The Gala
*Trinity's POV*
It was the next morning and I was sitting on the bed doing my makeup, getting ready for work. I was excited to get to work and see Amber, but in all honesty, I was excited to see Matthew again…
His ears must have been ringing as I sat there and thought about him, because my phone began to vibrate and it was his number that popped up on the screen. My heart skipped a beat and I had to take a breath before answering the phone.
"Hello?" I said, unsure of what else to say.
My nerves were taking over and I was overthinking everything. Did he like the kiss too? Or was he calling to say that it was a mistake and we shouldn't do it again?
"How are you feeling?" Matthew asked.
Straight to business, just like normal. No introduction, no nothing, just right into what he really wanted to know. It actually comforted me. It meant he was acting normal for him.
