Chapter 28 : A Breakfast Meeting
*Trinity's POV*
Another sleepless night.
I was hoping that going back to work yesterday would have tired me out enough to sleep without the nightmares, but no such luck. Now, I focused on staying awake as I got ready for another day. Too bad pregnant ladies weren't supposed to have energy drinks, because I could definitely use one.
There was a small honk from outside and I looked through the blinds on the front window to see that the sleek company car was sitting there waiting in front of my driveway again. Perfect timing. I slid my jacket on and grabbed my bag before locking up and walking toward the car.
The driver stepped out again as soon as he saw me and stood by the back door. About halfway to him, my phone began to ring, and I was glad that I still had it in my hand. I hadn't wanted to pull it out of my back pocket when I had gone to sit down, because for some reason, it seemed like none of my pants had usable front pockets.
