The Beginning Of The End

A worldwide Electromagnetic Pulse had occurred. People outside their houses saw a huge lightning in the sky, and before they could react, their vision became black, and they collapsed. All electronic devices on earth were instantly rendered useless. Flying airplanes crashed one by one to the ground, and even underground bases were not spared.

But there was an exception: the location of four people. After a quick power shortage, the generator in the basement quickly started providing electricity for the entire base. The moment the room lit up, they quickly looked at the location of the monster, but what they saw amazed them. The bulky body of the monster slowly receded, taking the shape of a normal person. It was clear that the person they saw was Jiang Chen.

But one thing had not changed, and that was Jiang Chen's right arm. It had regenerated, but its appearance was black and white. The color of his hand had become white, while the rest of his right arm remained black.

"BROTHER!" The girl was the first to recover and tearfully hugged her brother. The body of Jiang Chen trembled slightly, and he became tense. His tightly closed eyes slowly opened, and the first thing he did was shove the girl who hugged him, then clutch his head and scream.

The sweat on Jiang Chen's body changed from clear white to black, and the room filled with a stinky smell.

"Go out! I'll be fine!" Jiang Chen gritted his teeth while looking at the trio.

"Go out now!"

Su Mei and Xia Yue quickly restrained her and dragged her outside the room.

"Sister Mei and Yue, please let me go. I want to stay with my brother," Jiang Yan struggled with all her might, but it was no use, and the only thing she could do was cry and plead.

"We need to trust your brother, and right now, if we want to know what happened to him, all we need to do is wait," Xia Yue looked at the two, then shifted her gaze to the tightly closed door.

The last but not the least were the Evolutionaries. The only thing he could clearly remember about them was that they had a chance to climb the pinnacle of the food chain and that their genes were not the same as ordinary humans. The genes of the Evolutionaries would change into unknown and more powerful genes, while the genes of the Meta-Humans remained the same - the only benefit they got from the mist was the potential of their genes being squeezed, which made them strong.

For the other fragmented dreams, Jiang Chen could not remember them clearly, but he was sure that this was only the beginning.
