Jiang Chen was listening to the system's introduction, and he was startled when he read the sentence following the mention of the Basic Fate Crystal. Until now, Xia Yue was still in a coma, and even though her condition had stabilized, her appearance was still unsightly, with some of her body parts still rotting.

Jiang Chen's actions managed to awaken his sister. The moment he stood up from the bed, his soothing aura quickly dissipated. This unique aura emanating from his body had helped Jiang Yan sleep peacefully. However, running to Xia Yue's bed, which was located three meters away, woke her from her serene slumber.

As time passed, Xia Yue's appearance finally returned to normal and her body began to tremble, especially her eyelids. After three minutes, her tightly closed eyes slowly began to open. The first thing she saw was a handsome figure, and as her vision became clear, she tried to lift her left hand to reach the figure she had longed for, but due to the effects of the Chaos Mist on her body, she was still currently weak and could only say in a low voice, "Jiang Chen, is that you? Or am I still dreaming? I hope this dream will never end."

Lost in her own world, Xia Yue seemed to be talking to herself and had forgotten that Jiang Chen was currently standing in front of her. She said to herself, "Jiang Chen, please don't leave me. I know that you're still in pain after JiaHui left you, but I'm here by your side, ready to take her place in your heart." Then, tears began to roll down her eyes. This was the first time she had admitted to herself that she was ready to be a spare tire for someone else, because she was really in love with Jiang Chen to the extent that she was willing to give up everything.

Jiang Chen was petrified when he heard Xia Yue's words. Although he knew that she liked him, he did not know the extent of her feelings. He was touched and quickly hugged her, saying, "Don't worry, Xia Yue. I will not leave you."

With these words coming from him, the lost Xia Yue snapped out of her daze and quickly realized that she was not dreaming. Her pale face quickly became flushed with red, but luckily Jiang Chen did not notice. "You're Jiang Chen! I'm not dreaming?!" she exclaimed.

"Yes, you're not dreaming," Jiang Chen replied as he released Xia Yue when he felt his body having a strange reaction. He was startled when he subconsciously pinched her breast, as if someone was controlling his hands.

Quickly withdrawing his hand, he looked away and asked her how she was feeling. Xia Yue's body trembled when she felt one of her breasts being pinched by Jiang Chen. If not for her current situation, she would have already slapped him. But she thought that if she hurt him, she would also feel sad because of her impulsive actions.

She was still in confusion when she heard Jiang Chen's next words and nearly fainted in shame.

"How did you feel?" Jiang Chen innocently asked her with a straight face and a smile.

The moment Xia Yue comprehended his question, she managed to lift her hand and point to his nose. "You... you rogue! Pervert!" After saying that, her face became even more rosy, and she tried to cover her face with both hands. But alas, she was still weak, and her current shy appearance, coupled with her natural beauty, made Jiang Chen feel stupid.

When Jiang Chen saw Xia Yue's blushing appearance, he was deeply attracted to her, and it seemed that something had changed within him. He swallowed a huge amount of saliva, and his eyes slowly became red.

"Brother?!" Another voice coming from his back made him snap out of his daze. His eyes slowly returned to their blueish and greenish appearance.

Jiang Chen touched his forehead and muttered to himself, knowing that no one could hear him, "Damn it! That was close. I almost lost control. What's happening to me lately?
