The noisy solid rain didn't seem to want to falter with time, Minan noticed that as soon as a fruit had fallen a new one would sprout and grow at an incredible speed. The dynamics of this phenomenon had a hypnotic quality, the child couldn't stop staring at the multitude of oval objects dropping to the ground, bouncing off each other like biliards and eventually finding an empty slot on the forest floor in which to settle and slowly stop vibrating, until they became the ones being hit by the incessant rain.
In the apparent chaos that this multitude of patterns created, Minan spied something moving quite differently: a small, strange figure was creeping eerily beneath the surfaced roots of the trees.
