Chapter 4: Anubis vs Steelix

Anubis was now standing at the opposite side of its opponent, Steelix. Waiting for his trainer's command.

Soul called out the rest of his Pokemons to watch the battle. Afterall, Anubis was Soul first Pokemon and haven't had an official battle yet, so they were excited.

Soul: Anubis uses Sword Dance, follow up by Brick Break.

Anubis did what Soul said as four swords begin to form around him and being to rotate until light could be seen from him.

Anubis quickly disappeared like wind and appeared in front of Steelix, surprising it as it got hit by Brick Break.

It was super effective…

But it was not enough as Steelix gain its balance again and use crunch against Anubis. Seeing this, Soul quickly says.

Soul: Anubis quickly use Detect, follow up by another Brick Break!

Doing what Soul said, Anubis use Detect and dodged the attack and use another Brick Break and hit Steelix from behind, sending it down to the ground.

The three Pokemons who saw this was amazed by how such a small Pokemon could make a giant Pokemon such as Steelix bite the dust like that.

Soul: Now use High Jump Kick.

Anubis feet beings to light up as he focused all of his power on one of his feet and flying down at a fac pace.

When Steelix managed to get up again, it was hit by another attack, sending it whole body back down again to bite the dust.

Soul: Use Sword Dance again.

Four swords being to surround Anubis again, as Steelix stood weakly up, but instead of a defeated expression, it smirks?

Seeing something was wrong, Soul couldn't manage to do anything before Anubis was suddenly hit by a rock.

It hit him by the back sending him toward Steelix as it uses Crunch to grab Anubis before sending it down to the ground.

Soul: 'Anubis are you okay!?'

Anubis: 'I'm fine, don't worry.'

Soul: 'Arc! What move was that hit Anubis from behind?'

<Affirmative. The move, Steelix used was Stealth Rock. It's a rock-type move, so it was not effective against Anubis who is also a fighting type.>

Soul was glad it didn't deal great damage against Anubis, but Crunch did as Anubis was also a ghost-type Pokemon.

Steelix again went for another Crunch in order to finish Anubis, but Soul wouldn't let that happen and said.

Soul: Anubis use Counter!

Anubis managed to dodge by a few seconds with its small size and speed. It used Counter and attack Steelix, dealing x2 dmg of what it received by crunch against it.

With x2 dmg against Steelix who was already badly hurts, it fainted after getting hit by Counter.

Soul went over to where Anubis was and healed him. After that, he went over to where the fainted Steelix was and also heals it.

While he was doing this, Soul other Pokemons went over to Anubis and congrats him for his first fight with Soul.

Waking up from fainted state, Steelix looked over at Soul and nodded approval before it used Dig and moved beneath the ground.

Seeing the giant Pokemon moved away, Soul called his Pokemons as they being to walk over where the chest is.

Reaching there, Soul could now fully see how the chest looks like. It was purely made out of iron and had a lock on with no keyhole.

Soul was confused at this and looked around the chest for some clues until he saw that behind the lock, there was some word that was written in Unknown languages.

Soul: 'Arc, can you translate what I'm seeing right now?'

<Affirmative. The word written on it is, 'Blood'.>

Soul was surprised by the choice of the word at first, but then he finally came to realize something.

Soul: 'This is like those Xianxia novels, where you just need to put your blood on it and it would open!'

So he bit on his thumb finger, as blood begins to flow out of it. The Pokemons panicked a bit when they saw Soul bit his thumb as blood beings to drop on the lock.

Suddenly now grey lock became red, as it made a click sound and was opened. Excitement being to rush inside him as he slowly opened the chest.

When the chest was fully opened, all of them took a peek and saw what seems to be a compass and an old book.

Soul was a bit disappointed, but grabbed the two items inside the chest and went to another gate behind where the chest stood.

Walking for a few more minutes with a flashlight and his Pokemons behind him, they arrived outside what seemed to be a waterfall.

Soul: 'Where are we?'

He though while inspecting the area around him. Looking around and see that the sun was setting down, he must have been in that cave for a long time.

Soul went to get his Pokemon to train while he went to cook his healthy foods for them. He made some simple soup with berries.

Eating their foods, Soul beings to hear the sound of the wild. The air, he breaths here is relaxing. The sound of Pokemons are making around him is pleasant to hear. Not to mention the beautiful scene in front of him.

Maybe this was one of the reasons for him to travel around the world? To be free to do whatever you wanted and aren't controlled by someone.

He likes the feeling of freedom, he would protect this feeling the best he can. The first step to do that is to become stronger and establish his own company.

Money is an important source for everyone in this world besides Pokemons. With money, you can buy things others can't. With it, you can have power in the business world.

Besides even if his Pokemons is strong enough, he doubts they would be able to take on the whole world.

Soul told his Pokemons to go around and do whatever they wanted before going to sleep. They nodded and went to play with each other.

Soul took out the two items, they founded inside the cave. He went first to read the book and opened the first page…
