EPISODE 32: Illusion Confusion?

Hard work and persistence do really pay off! After putting my heart and soul into my gym battle in S.S. PUM against Admiral Brooke, I finally won my first badge. The Shell badge, a hard-won achievement that symbolizes victory over Norva City. Now that we're done with Norva city, we can finally move to Macropolis city, the site of my second gym badge and another step closer to the cavern of the deep.

The four of us decided to rest under an old shabby tree just above a hill. Riolu and Scyther were battling each other to become stronger, while Ivy and Zhery's Eevee were playing along the grass. Pansear made roasted berries with his searing recipe! While Luxio drank water nearby the stream. Roselia and Zorua however fell into a sleepy slumber.

A few moments later, Zorua woke up. It was like he was having another nightmare. I couldn't let Zorua have Pokesomnium again because there was no doctor nor nurse nearby. So I came to Zorua and comforted her.

"Are you alright Zorua?" I queried.

"I am Kalem, I just had a little dream, that's all!" Zorua explained as she began to move in circles again just like before.

"It seems that something's bothering you Zorua," I observed.

"Nothing's wrong Kalem, I'm fine," Zorua said with a slight frustration. She still didn't stop moving in circles.

"Come on Zorua! Tell me what's wrong." I begged Zorua to tell me what was wrong with her, or if there is anything bothering her.

"I told you Kalem! I'm fine!" Zorua said but with more frustration than before.

"Hey, I'm just asking Zorua, why do you seem so frustrated at me, I'm not doing anything," I complained as she got even more frustrating. Her eyes turned red just like the blood moon and lost control over herself. She began to bite me really hard. She wouldn't let go of my arm, she continued to bite it until her eyes turned normal.

"What was that for!?" I scolded Zorua as she began to sob.

"Sorry Kalem... I, I'm really sorry..." Zorua apologized solemnly.

"Why do you have to bite me then?" I queried angrily. Zorua began to cry, I thought I was being too harsh to her, after all, she somehow lost control of herself.

"Look I'm sorry I scolded you..." I apologized as I tried to hug Zorua. But Zorua escaped my grip and ran away.

"Zorua! Zorua! Don't go!" I shouted. I tried to chase after Zorua but she went too far. I couldn't find her so I begged help from my friends.

"Glade, Zhery, Camellia! You have to help me!" I said and begged rushingly.

"Kalem, what happened to your arm?" Camellia noticed.

"No time to explain! You have to help me find Zorua!" I pleaded.

"What happened to Zorua?" Glade queried.

"I was being to harsh on her when I scolded her for biting my hand..." I said solemnly.

"Bite your hand!? But why would Zorua do such a thing?" Camellia wondered.

"I don't know, her eyes turned red and started to lose control over herself. She began to bite me afterward." I explained.

"Then we must look for Zorua now before she runs off somewhere too far!" Zhery agreed. We returned our Pokemon into their Pokeballs as we rushed to find Zorua.

Zorua went to a foggy weald. There she began to walk in circles just like what she did before.

"Zorua... Zorua..." A voice called upon Zorua.

"No! I won't enter your mind!" Zorua shouted at the voice only she can hear.

"Zorua... Zorua..." The voice called upon Zorua repeatedly.

"I said no! I have enough of your silly nightmares!" Zorua shouted to the voice.

"Zorua... Zorua..." The voice called once more as it puts Zorua back to sleep.

Zorua woke up again at a familiar place. A place not of this planet, a place full of darkness and Chaos. Zorua's body may be sleeping, but her soul was in the mind of the voice.

Zorua woke up suddenly, scared and frightened.

"What do you want now!" Zorua screamed as she wished that she wakes up from her nightmare.

"Good work, Kalem and Glade are now on their journey towards their parents." The voice complimented.

"Leave them alone! Let them go where they want to go, stop telling me to lead them to caverns and mountains!" Zorua badgered.

"You? Asking me to leave them alone? You were the one who bit your trainer right?" The voice asked Zorua to recall.

"It was an accident. I lost control of myself back then! I'm done listening to all this end of the world shenanigans, meteors, flowers, darkness, light! So let me out of your mind!" Zorua badgered.

"Kalem is the chosen one! He is the one who will restore the light unto this world!" The voice shouted.

"Stop talking about the prophecy! The prophecy can't be avoided, it can't be restored, it can't be stopped! So I suggest that you wake me up and leave my trainer out of this!" Zorua badgered.

"You dare bargain in my mind? You are a Pokemon I am supreme!" The voice shouted.

"I didn't know the mind of Arceus, the God of all Pokemon would look this dark." Zorua teased.

"I am not Arceus Zorua! I am not Palkia, nor Dialga, nor Giratina. I am a Pokemon who submits to the Jewel of life!" The voice explained.

"If you are no God and that means you are an illusion!" Zorua badgered.

"I am no illusion Zorua! I am the bearer of the seven visions of the prophecy. I was wrong when I said a prophecy could be stopped. But the truth is... It couldn't be stopped it must happen, but in order for the shadow veils to be unleashed! Kalem must unlock his parents in the cavern of the deep, then he shall be led to Mt. Alympus!" the voice explained.

"Why not ask Riolu instead? Why do I always have to be this chosen Pokemon? Tell the chosen trainer to go and travel! Why don't you do it yourself bearer of the seven rings of vision?" Zorua badgered and teased.

"Do you think I didn't try? I called him he never answered me! That's why I need you. The world is vulnerable to phenomena. A grave one is about to happen, the falling star? The flooding, burning, of cities? The flower that decayed? It's all going to happen. It must happen." The voice ordered.

"But why? Give me one good reason for this so-called Shadow veils to be unleashed?" Zorua queried and badgered.

"It is the only way for men to realize their wrongdoings. It is the only way for the distortion world to disappear completely." The voice explained.

"Now I want you to show the second vision to Glade and Kalem. Do you understand Zorua?"

"I... I do" Zorua woke up, and found herself laying on the foggy weald.

"Zorua! Zorua!" Me and my friends called. Zorua saw me and rushed towards me. I saw Zorua and hugged her real tight!

"Zorua! Don't run off like that again! I'm sorry I scolded you! Please forgive me." I apologized solemnly. Zorua began to bark at me and Glade. "Zorua? Is there anything wrong?" I asked.

Zorua's eyes turned red again.

Zorua bit me again in the hand! Riolu was about to help me as he jumped down from my arm, but I said that I didn't need help.

"Ivy! Use tackle on Zor-"

"No need Camellia, I can handle Zorua's bite." Interrupted as I tried to resist the pain.

"But Kalem, you are just hurting yourself if you let Zorua bite you!" Camellia warned.

"Camellia is right Kalem!" Zhery agreed.

"Zorua... It's ok, I a here..." I said as I tried to handle the pain. I comforted Zorua and her eyes turned back to normal.

I hugged Zorua again, but she jumped from my grip and barked at me and Glade.

"Zorua just tell us what's wrong," Glade suggested. Zorua began to run, me and Glade tried to follow Zorua. Zhery and Camellia also tried to follow us but lost track of Zorua.

"Now where could they be?" Camellia started to worry.

"Come on Camellia! We have to keep on searching!" Zhery suggested.

Zorua led me and Glade to an Unknown place. Then another ring from Zorua's necklace came forth as Zorua fainted.

The second golden ring got bigger. From there, the shadow inside the golden ring turned into another vision.

The vision took place in a lab wherein our parents were observing something.

"Type one check! Type two checks! Gen45b is fully operational..." my mother analyzed.

"Wait, Gen45b? But I thought that Pokemon got lost?" Glade wondered.

"I know right? Blaine told me as well. But how could they be with our parents?" I wondered.

"Gen46A is also operational... Both Pokemons are up and ready!" Glade's mother analyzed.

"They mentioned another Bioweapon project?" Glade was in awe.

"Gen46A? That's a new one to me." I said as I continued to observe.

"These two will help the world from a certain enemy!" My father came and staired at Gen46A and Gen45b.

Just like that, the golden ring disappeared again. It shrank to a size unbearable to the human eye. Zorua began to stand up and hugged me tight.

"I... I'm sorry Kalem!" Zorua cried.

I hugged Zorua back, but the vision left me and Glade confused.

Moments later, Camellia and Zhery were able to find us. We were able to return to our resting spot. There, Camellia put a bandage on the spot where Zorua bit me.

"Thanks, Camellia, for everything!" I greeted as I stood up.

"No problem Kalem!" She smiled as her cheek turned slightly red.

I looked at Zorua sleeping, she seems to be fine. One thing is for sure, the vision that I and Glade saw is really confusing. I didn't know that they were planning to create another Pokemon. What could Gen46A mean?

As the journey... Continues.
