EPISODE 197: A Full Toxic Match Up!

The journey towards Dracovolt city continues! A far pilgrimage through dust and snow, is all it takes to reach the City of Dragons. Maybe I could even find a hybrid Dragon Pokemon on my way. Dracozolt or Arctozolt, it's fine with me.

Three months remain before the exhilarating Pokemon League finally begins. Who knows what problems and challenges may arise at the path towards the mountain, Cave Omega or victory road to be specific.

On our way to Meteor town, the town which leads to the Valley of Dragons, then to Dracovolt city, something caught my attention. A road interruption shrouded with people blocked our path to the city.

"Golbat, use Supersonic!" A battle took place in the middle of the road. Officer Jenny of Aulmurus City was also there together with her colleagues. Everybody was watching a man with a yellow shirt, crimson eyes, battle against a wild Pokemon.

??? Dodged the attack and countered back with Poison Jab! Golbat immediately fainted.

"Toxicroak! We urge you to leave right now, or we'll use extensive force." Officer Jenny warned while trying to push the Pokemon away.

Me and my friends, including Kira my cousin, were wondering what was happening between Toxicroak and the crowd. It seems to me that every single person was somehow mad at the violet frog Pokemon.

Toxicroak, despite all the angry attributes thrown to him, kept himself calm and even teased the crowd sarcastically.

"Excuse me Officer Jenny, may we know what's happening? Me and my friends are headed to Dracovolt city until we saw this incident taking place." Kira questioned while observing Toxicroak teasing the crowd.

"Well that Toxicroak is a stubborn one. He does nothing all day except to challenge anyone he sees. His arrogance rose to the limits, and he won't let anyone pass unless someone defeats him in a Pokemon battle." Officer Jenny explained.

"Someone defeats him? Now I get it, Toxicroak wants attention, that's all." Camellia's heart suddenly infuriated after hearing the reason behind Toxicroak and the crowd. It turns out, it was the Pokemon's fault and not the people shrouding it.

"Hmph! I've better teach that Toxicroak a lesson. Being arrogant and showing off your personal skills is kinda triggering for me too." I concurred with Camellia's statement while looking at Toxicroak showing off his powers.

The people were triggered to their highest limits. Not a single one could bear another irritating entertainment.

"I've to tell you, Toxicroak is quite strong so be careful out there. Not even I could defeat him." Officer Jenny warned.

"Don't worry officer! Leave it to me and Dragonite." I beamed with certainty as I rush to the center where Toxicroak was in.

"Alright Toxicroak! It's game over! You're interrupting with our personal agendas! I'm giving you a chance to stop right now or prepare to fight." I warned while glaring at the Toxicroak leaping from tree to tree, trying to impress the crowd.

<Toxic... Toxicroak!>Toxicroak leaped to the ground while glaring at me. Still want to show off? I'll teach you a lesson then!

Toxicroak taunted at me while the crowd badgered him. It seems like my foe is too over confident. He cleary doesn't know what capability I have.

Toxicroak is a dark blue and teal, bipedal Pokémon resembling a poison dart frog. Its head bears a gently-upward curling spike which seems to be a part of the skull. Its eyes are bright yellow, sinister and intimidating, with a small snake-like pupil. Its mouth gives an appearance of a mouth-guard, with its red upper lip curling upward at the ends in a very intimidating manner. Underneath its chin is a bulbous red vocal sac, which is smaller on a female Toxicroak. It has three fingers and one large red claw on the back of each hand. These claws on the backs of their hands can channel poison. Its forearms have two black rings encircling them. Its legs are muscular and seem to be adapted for speedy attacks. It has three toes on its feet, with a red middle toe on each foot, and a sharp spike which juts out of its heels. Underneath the pelvic area are two white horizontal lines. Thick black lines run down the sides of its body and surrounding its limbs, making them seem as if the limbs are detachable. The black lines go up into its face and surround the eyes before meeting in the middle of its snout, just above the upper lip.

By croaking, Toxicroak churns the poison stored in the poison sac on their throat for more potency. Toxicroak gives off poison with stings or claws, though it can poison when touched. This poison can knock out an opponent with even if tis just a scratch. Toxicroak releases a victory croak when a foe is defeated. It can be cruel and fearsome, or it can be quite laid-back, relaxing on rocks and in marshes, studying the views around it. It is related to Seimsitoad. Toxicroak lives in moist areas around bodies of water.

"Dragonite, let's teach him a lesson!"

<Toxic!>The foe taunted back with too much confidence.

TOXICROAK VS DRAGONITE! *Battle!*

"Alright Dragonite, use Thunder Punch!"

<Tox! Tox!>Toxicroak dodges the attack swiftly and counters back with Poison Jab!

"Quick Dragonite, use Uppercut with Thunder Punch!"

<Bwargh!>Before Toxicroak's attack landed on Dragonite, it was immediately intercepted by Dragonite's thunder punch. The foe blasted to the sky which is a perfect opportunity for me and my Dragonite.

"Dragonite, now use Ice Beam!"

*As Toxicroak descends harshly, damage was added through freezing the opponent. Toxicroak's frozen body landed on the ground gravely.*

"Dragonite, finish it up with Thunder Punch!"

<Bwargh!>Dragonite swiftly ran to Toxicroak's frozen body and punched him on the chest.

"Toxicroak is no longer able to battle which means the winner is Dragonite and trainer Kalem!" Officer Jenny proclaimed and announced to the crowd who were observing the match truthfully.

"Dragonite's power is too immense. Even Toxicroak was unable to land a single hit." Glade complimented while observing Dragonite's power.

"Of course! Kalem raised Dratini truthfully, as so as Khaidra. Their bond is strong just like Kalem and his Lucario." Camellia concurred while boasting off me and Dragonite's bond.

"Haha! Who's weak now Toxicroak?"

"That Toxicroak must be imprisoned!"

"Pfft! Pathetic Pokemon, wasting my time."

The people harrassed and mocked Toxicroak. Some of them even threw stones due to how irritated and frustrated they are towards Toxicroak.

"Hey! I know what Toxicroak did is wrong, but it is not right to hurt or even throw stones at him. A Pokemon is still a Pokemon, stubborn or not!" I blocked Toxicroak's feeble body while protecting him from the stones being thrown towards him. I felt pity and mercy for Toxicroak and his actions.

"Who cares?! Toxicroak wasted half an hour trying to boast his skills!" Someone shouted from the background.

"I know that, maybe Toxicroak is just lonely and needs some attention and not want. Even if what Toxicroak did was wrong, we don't have the right to beat him up." I answered back.

"Kalem is always standing for the justice of Pokemons, regardless of their attributes and nature." Kira complimented.

"Well, that's one reason why adore him. Hee hee!" Camellia concurred while her cheeks turned slightly red.

The people got fed up with their argument with me. They decided to leave me and Toxicroak behind, and continued with their daily agendas.

"Hmph! Don't mind them Toxicroak, they don't understand you, but I do." I comforted while aiding the wounds my Dragonite has casted upon.

Officer Jenny and my compannions were also there to help me aid Toxicroak. I was able to forgive him for his stubborn and arrogant deeds. When I battled him, I noticed his eyes. His eyes were begging for attention because his life has always been lonely and isolated.

<Toxic! Toxicroak!>Toxicroak smiled and licked my face with its extremely long tongue, but don't get me wrong, Greninja's tongue is even longer than Toxicroak's tongue.

"Say, since you're lonely Toxicroak, I'm offering you to come with me. You won't feel isolated anymore, plus, with you and me, we'll become closer and stronger!" I beamed with encouragement and conviction.

<Toxicroak! Toxicroak!>Toxicroak smiled and hugged my body.

"I guess that means only one Pokemon left huh?" Glade giggled while watching me and Toxicroak hug each other.

"Yup! Maybe a Hybrid Pokemon will be the last. Who knows?"

Toxicroak didn't resist the Pokeball's charm and was caught immediately. With a powerful movesets and only little room for improvement, me and Toxicroak could be unstoppable! With the enough amount of time to train, new memories will be forged between me and Toxicroak.
