Currently, Ryan is in a dilemma. He loves Pokemon so much that he sees them as his own family. Unfortunately, these pokemon here are wreaking havoc here. He may have distrust towards humans but he doesn't wish to kill them!
As he was deciding what to do, Steven came towards him.
"Ryan!" he shouted running towards Ryan as his Pokemon shielded him from Pokemon attacks.
"What is it, Steven?" Ryan asked as he commanded his Pikachu to use thunder waves to Paralyze the Pokemons who were trying to breach the defenses.
"Here," Steven said as he handed a Military long-range walkie Talkie to Ryan.
"Wait this is. . ." Ryan trailed off seeing the equipment.
"It was given to me by Lt. Ronald when I went to transfer Ferrothorn and asked me to give it to you. Since you are the one leading the trainers you need to stay in touch with him during the battle." Steven explained as a fight between Pokemon started to get intense.
"Thank you Steven but right now we have a job to do," Ryan said as he released Seismitoad and Magmortar so that he has more firepower.
"Indeed," Steven said as he released his own Ferrothorn and Duraladon and other Pokemon.
Soon the Pokemon came close enough to clash with each other in close combat. Soon the Pokemon started to clash with each other. Thankfully Ryan and Steven trusted each other and coordinated to fix the loopholes in the defenses.
Of course, they were not perfect enough that they were flawless but the enemy Pokemon were having a real hard time going through them.
Others could only be stunned at how well they were coordinating. Lt. Ronald was impressed that even seasoned veterans cannot collaborate with newly met people and coordinate with them yet these two trainers who have only a sliver of experience compared to others were coordinating near perfectly.
Magmortor who had a disadvantage used Sunny Day which made him able to use Solar Beam easily to cover it up. This also helped Incineroar a lot since he was also a fire type. While Seismitoad started close-ranged combat and point-blank ranged moves.
Steven's Pokemon which had Solar beams like Ferrothorn or fire-type moves also benefited from this. Ryan's Metang and Ferrothorn were taking care of the Zubats and Golbats which were coming from time to time. They also assisted from the back by protecting the rear.
The battle continued. The Pokemon were starting to get tired.
'If it goes on like this openings will start to appear in our formation' thought Ryan as he gritted his teeth.
That's when a few Pokemon managed to run past Ryan and Steven. Though they were just Marill and Azurill they are still Pokemon. They may cause damage to the formation. If that happens the whole defense will start to crumble down and they will get destroyed by the ramparts of the Gyarados. After all, they are defending the center of the formation.
That's when it happened a Solar Beam pushed the Pokemon that managed to escape. When Ryan and Steven saw who it was, they saw a girl who wore a Navy Blue flower print top along with black a black skirt.
Beside her was a Vileplume, Decidueye, and a Lurantis.
"Alola! I would generally introduce myself but since we are in the midst of a Pokemon wave allow me to join your dance!" she said as she threw her remaining Pokeballs to reveal Tarseena, Ludicolo, Abomasnow, and Lefeon.
Soon after a few Grass types joined our defense the openings were patched up immediately.
'This girl seems from Alola by her slang and greeting, not to mention her half her Pokemon are alolan. They are all Grass types. . . So she aims to be a Grass type specialist. . . Anyway, my Pikachu can catch a breath now since there are a lot of Grass Pokemon. We don't need to worry about them breaching our defense' Ryan thought.
Thanks to the new additions the Pokemon didn't need to conserve their energy too much since they were healed by the Alolan girl's Pokemon from time to time. Not only that Magmortar who had to set up Sunny day from time to time now can focus on the offense fully since the grass Pokemon are using weather moves.
Being one of the heavy hitters Magmortar couldn't bring its full potential in the battle since it not only had a disadvantage, but it also had to set up a sunny day which hindered its ability to go fully on offensive. Now that he is not held back he can use his ability fully.
Everything was going well except with the Gyarados which were wreaking havoc on both the left and right sides of defense but thanks to the Military weapons such as electrical nets and tanks which have electrically charged shells they kept the Gyarados at bay.
Then Ryan saw the Gyarados which had split into three groups. One was attacking them alone other two attacking in groups of three their rear defense. Ryan widened his eyes as he saw what their plan was.
He immediately took the Walkie Talkie and contacted Lt. Ronald. "Lieutenant!" he said.
"What is it, Mortimer?" Lt. Ronald asked. Ryan could hear the sounds of bullets and bombs.
"Sir the Gyarados are planning to breach our rear first. If they even succeed in one of them they will start a pincer attack, sir. It will become hard for us to defend and they may get to the base!" Ryan said.
Soon Lt. Ronald's eyes widened and he cursed. He started shouting orders to strengthen the defenses in the rear and provide reinforcements for the trainers in the rear.
"Thank you for the information, Mortimer. If this had gone unnoticed we would be in a lot of trouble" said Lt. Ronald through the Walkie Talkie.
Soon after reinforcements were sent to the rear and the defenses strengthened. Due to this, the Gyrados had a hard time going through the defense. I decided and called my Pikachu. Pikachu was using Calm Mind and other set-up moves to make his attacks devastating.
Right now he has used charge multiple times. Ryan is preparing Pikachu to launch a devastating Thunder onto the Gyarados. That's the Gyarados in front of them roared. As soon as it roared other Gyarados came back and started to assault the center. If it were not for Ryan Steven and the Girl who specializes in Grass types the Defense would have crumbled away.
Even Gyarados started to charge Hyper Beams. Ryan who saw this immediately relayed it to Lt. Ronald.
To Ryan's surprise, Lt. Ronald only smiled. As the Hyper Beam was launched across the battlefield it hit the Base. Ryan was shocked not because Hyper Beam hit the base but the fact Hyper Beam was stopped.
How? The base had erected a shield that was Green in color. It had absorbed the damage and shockwave caused by the Hyper beams. Everyone was shocked even the Gyarados. Ryan didn't waste time and ordered Pikachu to hit the Leader Gyarados with thunder.
Immediately the skies turned dark and the wind started to blow hard. Electricity crackled around Pikachu as it launched the Thunder up into the sky. Soon the same thunder Fell upon the Gyarados causing a massive explosion.
The devastating Thunder destroyed all the Pokemon in its Radius. All the Gyarados except the leader didn't survive. Leader Gyarados didn't escape unscathed. It was bleeding profusely with gashes running across its body. It immediately roared and the remaining Pokemon retreated along with the Gyarados.
