It worked! So far so good, what is this Pokemon Affinity… "All pokemon are automatically friendly towards you unless hosts do something unforgivable". I guess it still has some limits but atleast it is still pretty useful, Leon happily thought.

"Leon? Are you okay? You seem to zone out quite a few times, maybe you need more rest." Mike suggested.

"No, I'm good. Sorry, I was just admiring the beauty of the blastoise. It looks so huge and powerful," Leon said.

"That's what she said!" both of them said in unison and laughed.

I guess Mike isn't so uptight, Leon thought.

The huge blastoise moved and looked at both of them.

"Mother Chelone, Greetings! This is Leon. He is new and he will be in charge of taking care of your habitat." Mike introduced.

"The previous one quit. He was too sacred of the charizards to continue. But I think this one will be able to endure the 3 habitats." Mike said.

Leon turned to Mike with confused face, "Endure???"

Mother Chelone chuckles and said "I agree. He has a likeable Aura. Unlike, the last one. He will be able to take care of us."

Leon was flabbergasted.

"You… you can talk??"

"Why of course dear! Most of us can't but when a pokemon gets to my age and level, our rate of comprehension and intellect increases, so learning the human language and speaking it is as easy as a pie… ha ha ha ha," Chelone gives a bellowing laugh.

Leon was stunned and thought to himself, I should really read the knowledge Mew gave me later tonight and check the system.

Chelone beckons a squad of wartortle to come and announces, "I will allow this human to gain access to our home and help us with our needs. Inform the rest."

"Great, he will start tomorrow. I'll still have to introduce him to the other Monarchs." Mike said.

"Alright but I'm sure the others will like him as well. Just come to me directly tomorrow Leon and I will assign you your tasks." Chelone said.

"Yes, Queen Chelone." Leon said and bowed deeply trying to butter up the blastoise leader.

"Ha Ha Ha Ha" Chelone bellows laughingly, "I haven't been called Queen by a human in centuries. Just call me, Mother Chelone. We aren't monarchs anymore. Taking care of our kin has been our priority and take no liking to ruling anymore. But, thank you for reminding me of the good old memories." Chelone smiles warmly at Leon.

Leon nods and thought to himself, I guess I still have my kiss ass skills lol.

"Thank you for your time Chelone. If you excuse us, we are off to the Charizard habitat." Mike said. Chelone just nodded and started to close her eyes.

"Let's go." Mike takes out a pokeball, "Kirlia come out! Teleport us to charizards habitat."

Telepathically (Affirmative) Kirlia nodded.
