After the class ended, the three had a meeting. They had been renting a training room so that they could release all of their pokemon. While their pokemon were playing in the background, the atmosphere of the three was very heavy as they sat there in silence contemplating. They were on the verge of the most important decision of their pokemon trainer life.

"Gahhhh! I can't think of any good name for our team!" Woody cried in frustration. T

They have already been sitting there for three hours and still no good ideas came out. Mark and Leon had a grave look on their face… Team Name… Indeed it was an important milestone. All men knew the importance of the "Team Name". It would stick on their permanent records until they die like creating a game character. Some immature boys would name it after their crush but then deeply regret it when their crush broke their hearts. The character they created has already become an irreplicable being in their life, but at the same time, it reminded them of their foolishness and heartache.

"It shouldn't be too cocky or too meek," Mark said in contemplation. Leon gave up making his own and started to find a team name from his "knowledge" bank. Team 7? He thought.

"3 blind mice… 3 silly piggies… 3 pawns… No this won't do… this is checkmate for us…" Woody murmured.

Both Mark and Leon heard his murmur and they both looked at each other immediately. "Checkmate!" they shouted in unison.

"Woody you're brilliant! Checkmate sounds perfect!" Mark exclaimed. Leon nodded in agreement. "Team Checkmate it is," Woody said as the three smiled.

After finally agreeing on a team name, they then decided which pokemon to use. Woody opt to use his Sylveon and Pangoro.

After a pokemon reached B rank stage, the leveling becomes very slow but the difference in stage becomes apparent. For example, a pokemon at B rank low is only 1.5 times stronger than a C rank peak but a pokemon at B rank mid is twice as powerful as a pokemon in B rank low, a pokemon in B rank high is thrice as strong as B rank mid, a pokemon at B rank peak is four times as strong as a pokemon in B rank high, and when the pokemon reaches A rank low not even an army of B rank peaks could hurt it. The strength difference only widens at the higher stages.

Toshi's potential has slightly increased. Leon has been buying A rank materials to help him increase them and with the help of Toshi's Recycler talent, nothing was wasted and any energy source could be used, thus, even the cheap ones worked well.
