Journey Starts and King Sense (Part 2)

3rd POV

"Alright! Potions here, some berries, ohh! Can't forget my Pokédex and of course Riolu's and Elgyem's Pokéballs." Shiro muttered to himself as he packs up his things. He couldn't help but look outside the window and was greeted by sight of a endless field of Lavender. He went towards his window and opened it, he then went up the roof to bask in the sun.

'It will be some time before I come back here. It's so refreshing and nice. If I can, I would've stayed. But no, I can't. There are still a whole new world out there, waiting to explored! So much mysteries, so much Pokémons!' Shiro can't help but close his eyes as feels the sun's heat and the gentle breeze with the scent of lavender brushing against his nose.

"Alright! I'm done reminiscing, time for my journey to start!" He yelled as he jumped up on his spot. Looking towards the horizon with a bright and wide smile on his face. Full of expectation and excitement.

[Inside the Lab]

"So you're saying that, Shiro knows more about Royalty Pokémons than I do? That sounds appropriate actually. After all, as far as I know, Riolu can talk with Shiro clearly through the use of Aura." Lilith concluded as she nodded off after Ash told her about his and Shiro's lecture earlier. On the side, we can see Pikachu lying down and dozing off without care of the world. On his forehead though, there is something that shouldn't be there. A tattoo, specifically a tattoo that signifies a Royalty Pokémon.

When Ash tried to use the technique Shiro showed him to get a Royalty Pokémon, he didn't thought that Shiro's assumption will actually become true. Pikachu's bloodline really does come from Atlas. That also explains why somehow, Pikachu has some advantage towards other of the same species. A bit much stronger, faster, and durable than most. It's not just pure will and determination, but it is also because of the blood flowing inside him.

"But I'm confused though, you and Shiro said that whenever a Royalty Pokémon trigger King Sense, they evolve somehow. But how come nothing changed when I tried that with Pikachu?" Lilith gave a small sigh on that.

"Technically it does happen, only to selected few though. I also forgot to tell you that there are three stages of King Sense a Pokémon can reach. One of those stages can only be triggered by rare ones that can trigger a change in appearance, one example is Shiro's Riolu. Here, take a look at this picture." Lilith turned on her phone and showed Ash a photo.

On the photo shows Shiro's Riolu though for some reason, it looks more humanoid than ever. Shiro also can't be seen on the surroundings.

"What your seeing right now is what I call, Fusion phenomena. The highest state or stage of level that King Sense reach. Shiro accidentally triggered it on a rare occassion. We tried to do it again, but it didn't work or do it anymore. I theorized that Fusion King Sense can only be triggered under severe emotional distress. Most of the times, this happens instead." This time, Lilith showed a photo of Riolu with glowing red like veins spread across it's body and it's eyes glowing bright gold. On it's body, a deep sapphire blue cloak extending done to it's knees. Adorned on his head is a golden crown, with purple gems inlained on it.

"This is what we call Cloaked King Sense. Since on this stage, almost every Royalty Pokémon has a cloak of energy adorned on it's back. This cloak of energy signifies that the Pokémon has reached the level of being able to magnify their attacks up to 5 times of effect. Wether it is defence, attack, or anything that a Pokémon can do, will be buffed up to 5 times. The first stage, which you and your Pikachu has achieved is the Aura King Sense. This stage is the most basic and also most safest King Sense stage of the three. Since it will only magnify your Pokémon's capabilities by three." Ash nodded in understanding as he caresses Pikachu's soft fur.

"Then how come Shiro never used King Sense when we had a sparring fight?" Lilith sighed at that question and told him a very crucial information regarding King Sense.

"The reason for that is because it's very taxing to the Pokémon, and also to it's user. There is a reason why everyone calls Aura King Sense as the safest stage. It's because it doesn't risk the life of the Pokémon and it's trainer." A gloomy vibe descended upon Ash and Lilith as Ash let the information sink in.

"How come the other stages risk the life of the Pokémon and the trainer?" Ash confusedly ask. After all, he isn't a native and doesn't know a lot regarding Royalty Pokémons.

"It's because it's using more Aura than a person can ever have as its conduit to work. As you know, not everyone has the ability to use Aura, while there are some exceptions like Aura Guardians. Most of the remaining people does have Aura on their bodies, but doesn't have the ability or capability to use it. It's dormant per say. So whenever a person use King Sense, it taps into that dormant Aura of the trainer and also the Pokémon, and uses it to amplify or magnify the Pokémons capabilities. Which is only enough for the first stage, using the second stage however, is already pushing it to the limit. Because the Aura needed to use Cloaked King Sense, increases exponentially, making harder to use it. So if a trainer and a Pokémon doesn't have enough Auaa to use, it uses their life force instead. That's how dangerous it is for people who are not able to use their Aura to use the second stage. And don't even mention the last stage which is the Fusion King Sense. The only reason Shiro and Riolu survived that is because they only triggered it for 5 seconds, and they both have the ability to use their Aura unlike other people, and even that is pushing it. Shiro has to spend a full month inside the hospital just to get back to his full health." Lilith finished explaining as she turned back onto her computer, doing some calculations and research on something. While Ash on the other hand, is digesting all those information regarding the major risk of using King Sense. Although it won't be a problem to him, it still concerns him how dangerous it is.

"And oh, don't worry too much yeah? People won't really die as long as they don't pass the one minute mark using Cloaked King Sense, Shiro and his Riolu is an exception." With that, Ash was finally able to breath out of relief.

"Well that's good then, oh and how much was Fusion King Sense amplify it's Pokémon's capabilities?" With that, Lilith was forced to scratch her head and looked embarrassed.

"We don't really know, since Shiro was the only to be able to trigger it." Ash and the Prof. Oak who has been listening to them from the background exchange glances.

"Well, looks like Shiro really is special." Lilith chuckled and nodded at that remark.

"His starting his journey now right?" Ash asked as he went outside the door and looked at a rather simple modern house. Just in time to see Shiro coming out of it with a backpack on his back.

"Mhm, it starts now. I wonder how far will he go. I'm excited to watch his progress." Lilith answered as she also stood by and watched Shiro run towards the exit of the town, with Riolu in tow.

"I'm sure he will reach far, especially with that Riolu of his." Prof. Oak added as he joined Ash and Lilith, as they stared at Shiro's back as it grew smaller and smaller from the distance.

"Yes... Yes he will..." Lilith muttered to herself as she looked up at the bright cloudless azure skies.
