The Charizard roared seeing the egg Tobi was holding.

"What's wrong with him?" Tobi asked with a composed face but deep down, fear was swallowing his whole body.

{What's wrong my friend?} Professor Oak once again uses telepathy and asked the Charizard.

{You can't take that egg!} The Charizard responds angrily.

{Is....this your child?} Professor Oak connects the dot and guess.

{Indeed! my one and only child!} The Charizard confirmed Professor Oak's guess.

'Out of all Charmander present, he managed to choose Charizard's child!' Professor Oak's mind drifts away from the conversation as he imagines just how lucky and gifted his future grandson-in-law was.

{Samuel, Samuel! Hey Samuel!} Charizard repeatedly stated Professor Oak's name as he noticed him daydreaming.

"Ehem" Professor Oak got out of his thought as he fake a cough in embarrassment.

{Is there nothing I can't do so that the kid could keep your child? I promised after all.} Professor Oak said as he tries to negotiate with the Charizard.

{Nothing! I'll never hand over my child to anyone even if he was your grandson Samuel!} The Charizard angrily denies Professor Oak's negotiation.

{Are you planning to trap your child in this place?! This is the perfect chance for your child, I knew Tobi, I saw potential in him, I'm sure he was the perfect candidate you could find.} Professor Oak didn't give up and continued persuading Charizard.

It was effective as the Charizard couldn't refute what Professor Oak has said.

For pokemons, being strong was their deepest dream, Charizard knew that and he also knew how tough being a wild Pokemon compared to a trained pokemons.

{....you're right, I can't trap my child in here but I also can't just give away my child to a kid who I only knew for a few minutes.} The Charizard said.

{What do you think we should do.} Professor Oak asked with a hint of curiosity in his voice.

{I want to see whether you're telling the truth or not, I want to see the boy's talent you were talking about!} The Charizard proposed which caught Professor Oak's interest.

{Ok, but who will he fight?} Professor Oak hasn't seen Tobi fight but he believes in his gut feeling which is why he easily agrees.

*Roar!* The Charizard once again roared startling Tobi who was minding his own business beside them.

He then heard a footstep from behind him as he turned around and saw a menacing Charmeleon.

It walks in front of Charizard with respect visible in its eyes, It stood behind Charizard obediently.

{You're really not giving your child that easily huh?} Professor Oak said to Charizard but his tone was calm and relaxed.

Professor Oak was optimistic about Tobi, especially his Scyther which he believed was Tobi's starter.

{Of course not, If he wants my child, he better deserved it!} Charizard confidently stated thinking the fight was already finished before it even stopped.

"What's going on sir?" Tobi confusingly asks Professor Oak but with a respectful tone.

Professor Oak was getting impatient as he was excited to see his Grandson-in-law fight as he quickly explained the detail he and the Charizard talk about.

"Fight huh? Bring it!" Tobi wasn't afraid as he feel his blood pump faster in excitement.

"It's decided then." Professor Oak simply said seeing Tobi's reaction.

He and Charizard back off from the area, giving Tobi and the Charmeleon enough space to fight.

Tobi faced his opponent which was Charmeleon who was also looking at him excitedly.

'Appraise!' Tobi secretly appraise Charmeleon as it became a hobby for him to appraise every enemy he fight.

Tobi felt great pressure after having a bit of understanding of how strong this Charmeleon was.

Maybe for his 1st class Pokemon, he was a piece of cake but for his current Pokemons, it will be a tough fight.

Nonetheless, Tobi wasn't afraid and was confident he'll win, he was, after all, a proud and confident guy.

He took a Pokeball hanging on his belt, "Come out Scyther!" Tobi stated while throwing the Pokeball.

A Scyther came out of the Pokeball, excitement was visible in his preceding Charmeleon's strength.

Tobi has one hundred percent conquered Scyther whose mind was still immature and undeveloped.

{That Scyther.....} Charizard didn't finish what he was saying but Professor Oak understood what he was implying.

{Yea, it's a mythical pokemon} Professor Oak confirmed the Charizard sentence.

Mythical Pokemon was the term people from the Pokemon World used to determine Pokemon with Aptitude LighgBlue and above.

Mythical Pokemons were rare and not something a commoner could buy which is why Professor Oak concludes Tobi was lucky.

Plus, Scyther was also raised right and at a peak state showing Tobi's talent of raising a pokemon.

Meanwhile, the tension between Scyther and Charmeleon only gets higher and higher as Charmeleon soon became impatient.

He was also a battle-hungry pokemon which explains his excitement to fight other pokemon and not just Charmander and Charmeleon.

A flame formed in his mouth as he release it toward Scyther.

'Flamethrower'

"Scyther! Break through the fire using X Scissors!" Tobi acted swiftly as he quickly commanded Scyther what to do.

Scyther obeyed his trainer's command and rush toward Charmeleon flamethrower.

His claws were already ready as he slash the flamethrower in four.

Scyther comes out unharmed as he continues and charges straight into Charmeleon.

"Scyther use Aerial Ace!" Tobi didn't give Charmeleon time to react as he instantly command.

Scyther who was still in mid-air uses his wings to propel himself closer to Charmeleon while casting Aerial Ace.

Charmeleon reacted quickly as he also cast a move, Metal Claw, his claw was enveloped by gray metallic energy.

Scyther charged straight into Charmeleon as he uses Aerial Ace while Charmeleon counter using Metal Claw.

The two clashes but no one outpowered the other as a deadlock happened.

The two hold on for 3 more seconds before flying back due to the collision of their move.

Scyther was sent flying 4 feet away from the collision while Charmeleon was sent flying 3 feet away.

"Scyther!"

"Charmeleon!"

The two exclaimed as the fight has just started.
