Chapter 15:Crushing Defeat!

Ace,Serena,Daisy and her sisters all held their Breath as they looked at the dust cloud formed in the middle of the battlefield. As the dust cloud settled,it showed M-Blastoise standing tall with many bruises,but then he was surrounded by aqua ring,which healed his injuries.Naruto was standing as well,but he had more injuries than M-Blastoise as he was phanting.He tried to move, but suddenly his eyes rolled back as the aura around him disappeared,with him falling on the ground uncounciois.

Ace gasped as he also fell on his knees while clutching his stomach as he was in pain.He ignored the worried Serena's shout as he got up and made his way towards Naruto.He patted his uncounciois buddies head before returning him.He gave one glance to

M-Blastoise and Daisy before he stood up.

"Thanks for your help,buddy."Daisy said as she returned Blastoise who had cancelled his Mega Evolution.Before she could address Ace,she found out he was already gone. "Ace!"Serena shouted as she went after him towards the exit."Wait!There is still something more i have to say!"Daisy said as she also followed Serena along with her sisters.

Serena and the sensational sisters were unable to find Ace. Nurse joy said that he left After giving his Pokemon for healing.He also told that he will be back after blowing off some steam.The girls had to wait for him at the centre as they didn't know where exactly he went.Serena swore that when he comes back he was in for a world of pain for worrying her so much.

"This is so stupid."Ace murmered as he threw a rock in the lake in front of him."This is not even the first time I have lost.So why am I mad about it."He told himself, but deep down he knew the reason.It was not because he lost, it was because how badly he lost against that monster of a Blastoise.He knew he stood no chance as he was now against that Blastoise who can,And he called bullshit because this was literally his second gym match,mega evolve.Why the fuck will he have to fight a freaking Mega Pokemon for his 2nd match,he didn't know.And it stung even more due to that monster of a turtle taking down all of his Pokemon on his won.

"I knew from the beginning that I will lose as soon as I saw that mega stone."He looked at his reflection as he glared at it."This is really stupid to be angry about.Daisy probably used that Blastoise to teach me a lesson about thinking that her gym was easy."Ace grumbled as he dropped on his back and gazed at the sky that was turning dark.

He closed his eyes as he took a deep breath. He exhaled as he a pink aura started to appear around him with each breath he took and released.When he opened his eyes,they were glowing pink."I should train my psychic powers more.It is helping me control my emotions."He said to himself as he looked at his hand,before he pointed it towards a rock and watched as the rock was surrounded by pink energy and lifted in the air.

Ace looked at a specific spot as while he was using his psychic powers, something pulsed with psychic power near the bushes.He deactivated his powers as he made his way towards the shaking bush.When he neared it, a yellow blur shot out of it as it landed in front of Ace.It was a yellow mouse like Pokemon that Ace quickly identified as a Pichu!

"Why is a Pichu giving off a Psychic pulse. Wait." Ace muttered as he crouched down at Pichu's level while Pichu looked at Ace curiously."Hey there buddy."Ace said as he lifted his hand towards Pichu while keeping his distance.Pichu cautiously approached Ace's hand and sniffed it before he rubbed his head against it."If my theory is correct,this guy should have had an Alohan Raichu as one of his parents.But the question is,how did this guy get here?"Ace muttered as he picked up Pichu and cuddled with him.

"You really are cute!"Ace said as he rubbed against Pichu.Pichu gave a little happy cry as he also rubbed against Ace.Suddenly,sparks appeared as Ace was electrocuted by Pichu's nuzzle attack.Ace coughed a little while Pichu apologized for his mistake.'Are you okay.Did it hurt.'He asked as ace gave a chuckle."It's alright little man.I am fine."

Ace sat against a tree as he looked at the stars in the sky.He had stayed here for unknowingly far long as it had already turned night time.Ace looked at Pichu who had somehow fallen asleep."Pichu can't control electricity properly until they evolve,and get tired very quickly."Ace murmered as he pulled out his phone and scanned Pichu.He was a little surprised by the rank this dude had.

It was placed third!The first one used to belong to Ash's Pikachu while the second one used to belong to Red.Now that those two had their Pokemon evolved from Pichu,this guy had taken the first spot."This guy is full of surprises."Ace muttered as he looked at the sleeping Pichu.He took out his Pokeball and tapped it on Pichu's head.The ball opened and absorbed Pichu in a red light.When the light was gone,the Pokeball chimed, indicating that the Pokemon did not resist the capture.

Ace stretched a little before he looked to his side as his eyes glowed blue.Naruto had appeared near him as he jumped down from a tree."How are you doing buddy.Are the injuries healed."Naruto did not respond for a moment as he looked at the ground.'I lost badly, didn't I.That was why you are here, berating yourself for my mistakes.'

"Hey now.In Pokemon battles,the trainer and Pokemon are both responsible for their victory or defeat.So we are both in the same boat. Plus i am not mad about us loosing,I am mad about how I underestimated our opponent and paid the price.Also ,I am a little annoyed that Daisy used mega evolution against us knowing well that we are only at our second badge.I would have not minded if she used it if we were at our 4th or 5th badge because by then i would have thought you many more strategies,plus there was a chance you could have evolved by then."Ace said as he also looked at the ground.He was still annoyed by that dirty move Daisy pulled,and that damn aqua ring tactic,that Ace had to teach Naruto,was also annoying.

"But don't worry.We are a team.Next time we fight those two,we will be ready to defeat them."Ace said as he smirked at Naruto and showed his fist towards him.Naruto looked at Ace for a moment before he also smirked and fistbumped him.
