Status one month apart

It has been a month since we trained daily, relentlessly.

The first visible change was in me, where the small amount of fat I had was burned away and muscle was noticeable along with increased stamina and energy.

I had joined the same training I was giving my other Pokemons, running, swimming, and other human exercises with an extremely nutritious protein-rich diet by Chaney.

This triggered a growth spurt in me as I would like to say. That increased my height by a full inch in a month.

I was now 150cm tall, which was above average for my age group.

Then there was Ivysaur, we ran together in the morning, and all of us did, but Ivysaur's training regime was more agility and speed centered. I also traded elbows with her, one-sided ones. While I may not be an expert in pokemon training, I just used the analogy that the more blows she can take, the more resilient she becomes. With that I often made her participate in mock battles with Totodile. Ivysaur can now run faster than a month ago and she can make quick turns which are difficult for Pokemon of her stature.

Level - 25

Type - Grass/Poison

Ability - Overgrow (Powers up grass-type attacks when in a pinch)

Gender - Female

Rating - Gold (A)

Moves - Vine whip(B) , Tackle(B-) , Razor leaf(B-) , Poison powder(B-), Sleep Powder(B-) Seed Bomb (C-)

Bullet seed(TM) (C+), Solar Beam(TM) (C-)

She learned Seed Bomb at level 20 as a natural move while I had to buy the TM move, Solar beam for a million. But it was worth it. Without the TM, the solar beam can only be learned at level 50, which most low-potential pokemon can't even dream of reaching. I also prioritized the seed bomb as the main range attack for now as it dealt more damage while Bullet seed had its fast drawing advantage amidst low damage.

Totodile had reached level 17 in this previous month, a level before he evolves. One of the main reasons Ferraligator is my favorite Pokemon in battle is its versatile nature. It can do Normal, Dragon, Ice, Rock, Steel, Ghost, Psychic and Fighting-type moves along with the expected Dark and Water-type moves. Heck, the Pokemon can even perform an Aerial Ace! a flying-type attack. This made me loosen my waller for his TMs as versatility is always welcome when it's those major moves.

Level - 17

Type - Water/Dark

Ability - Torrent (Powers up water-type attacks when in a pinch); Sheer Force (hidden ability) (removes additional effects to increase attack damage)

Gender - Male

Rating - Dark Silver (B+)

Moves - Scratch(C+) Water Gun (C+), Bite(C+)

Dragon Claw(TM) (C), Water Pulse(TM) (C), Ice Beam(TM) (C-)

The TMs were expensive, especially the dragon type, dragon claw which was more pricey than the Solar beam I bought for Ivy. The moves mastery was shit but with her endurance and tunning training and already 6 moves to train, this progress was satisfactory for me to be a month's progress.

I had compiled my info about move mastery as follows-

(C-) never trained in this move, a newly learned move.

(C) Training daily for a week

(C+) Training for a month, daily relentlessly results in a C+ rating. Is also the threshold rating for a first-evolution Pokemon.

(B-) Evolution pushes the C+ rating into B- or relentless training for 3-4 months is needed to compensate for the evolution, lucky Ivysaur evolved so it reached this rating a month ago.

(B) Reaching this rating from scratch should need at least a year for bronze evolution pokemon, half a year for silver, and four months for god ones. It's a mystery how Ivysaur surfs through adversities to reach this rating in the move Vine whip.

(B+) the threshold for second evolution pokemon or equivalent to half a year move to practice for a gold potential pokemon. Chancey's healing moves are under this rating. Most pokemon under their poor potential stop here in their progress and never move forward so this is also the Threshold for most Pokemon.

It was not yet known about what amount of practice of which evolution they were the threshold of, but they were there.

Then there was Chancey, she was practicing defense moves with all her might and Pound move for sparring with Ivysaur and Totodile. Her level has not increased at all in this previous month but move mastery with practice was indeed showiG improvement in casting speed, strength and time it lasts.

Her main expertise was still in healing and cooking but the rest was also in the process of catching up.

I have decided, today will be our last day in Pewter city, where we will have our first gym battle victory. We have three months for the Rookies league and eleven for the main Kanto region Indigo league.

Just after this battle, we'll be on our way to catch our third Pokemon, in grandpa canyon because even if Aerodactyl's level is high, he would still need training in coordination and cooperation with my other Pokemon.

Chancey just pulled a 'Language card on me.

I was confident in my Pokemon, for a month Ivysaur was taking attacks from others to raise endurance, for a month Totodile was practicing all of his moves with no restraint, for a month Chancey was cooking for us daily tasty meals.

If even with these companions I manage to somehow lose, that would be entirely upon me.

We came down from the mountain and went straight to the Pewter gym to challenge FLint.
