"Evan?" Evelynn said, shaking her head at the sight of the boy. "Why did you suddenly request for all of the orphanage kids?"

"Just looking at them, as I had a realization."

"you don't have any ill-intent, do you?" Evelynn was a cautious woman, and that was something that Evan respected.

"No, and if any of them possesses the things im looking for it will turn their lives upside down."

Evelynn groaned before she stood behind him.

Evan looked onto the crowd, his eyes looking for something strange.

A colour that stood out from the rest, a flicker from normal kids.

That was what was desired.

He saw it!

a flicker of purple, and a flicker of green!

"Those two kids, can you please bring them over?"

Evelynn retrieved the kids, one a female and the other a male.

"Their name is Iran and Skye."

"Second names?"

"Dont have one."

"Anything remarkable?"

"Why do you ask?" Evelynn shook her head. "Iran is a refugee, who watched his family die, and Skye also watched hers suffer the same fate."

"Do they have any behaviour patterns?"

"What do you mean?" Evelynn looked weirded out. "Iran has constant nightmares, and is suffering P.t.s.d even though he was young when he watched them die."

A blackish-purple surrounded him, something that gave constant dread.

The other girl was the opposite, and it seemed the pokemon in the daycare were drawn to her like in the case of Gardenia but a toned-down manner.

"These kids are blessed with powers with a respective type." Evan nodded his head, as the two children looked at him confused.

Both of them couldn't hear what they were saying due to the psychic link, but the constant change in facial expressions was quite scary for them.

"Say, how did Iran's parents die?" Evan asked a morbid question, but Evelynn took no offence to it.

"A ghost type pokemon killed his parents."

"And Skye?"

"Dont know."

Iran was 12, and Skye was 13.

Evan suddenly had an idea, as he looked towards Iran, before talking to him mentally.

Everyone in the daycare knew he was a psychic, and the children didn't look surprised.

"What are your names?"

He already knew this, but he wanted to build a friendship with them.

"Iran..." A boy stuttered, as his eyes were glued to the floor.

"Skye." The other girl was the opposite, with a large smile, but Evan could see her tiredness that matched his deep into her eyes.

Evelynn leads the other children away with a smile before she shut the door.

"You two, are very VERY special, ok?"

"Huh...?" Iran looked confused, as he planted his face into a scared which was tattered and torn, but the boy seemed to soak out comfort from the scarf, so Evan quickly fumbled for his next couple of words.

"I can help you grow stronger, supply you with materials, help you carry out plots of revenge..."

Iran's eyes flickered, and Evan caught this expression.

Pure hatred.

Somebody has a story, but Evan decided not to focus any more on it.

"What is my power...?" Skye looked confused, so Evan went over to her, as they were both the same height.

Touching her hand, Evan felt as a source of power seeped into her body, weak, different from Gardenia's, but Evan welcomed the warmth.

A green strand came out of his fingertips, something he couldn't control like his psychic energy, as it wasn't his, to begin with.

A small furry pokemon came from the ceiling, done from all the dusting.

It was Minncino, and Skye's eyes turned into love-hearts seeing the pokemon.

Evan also caught onto this, as he saw Minncino was attracted to the green strand.

"Im not entirely sure, but you have a natural affection with pokemon, grass types and the potential bug type."

Evan thought for a moment, before giving Minncino to Skye.

"Dont be afraid, it won't hurt you."

Minncino was a gentle pokemon, as it curiously started to enjoy Skye's warmth, to the point it laid down on her arms.

"Power....power." Iran muttered, "how do I get it?"

Evan touched his hand, before displaying a dark orb.

Evan's face changed when he saw it.

It was darker and thicker than what even Evan saw of wiltful energy.

Fantina's energy wasn't even as strong as this!

but it was dark and unstable.

Luckily, the energy was a distant cousin to Psychic energy, so Evan discarded the energy fairly easily.

"Evan?"

Evan once again established a private psychic link.

"What's sup?"

"You want to train these kids?"

"Yeah?"

"You can't do that, it's against the law."

"Oh, is that so?" Evan smirked.

"I don't like that smile." Evelynn had noticed this cunning smile.

Breaking the psychic link and making it public, Evan looked towards both of them.

"You have been offered the deal, but I only want one thing."

Iran's eyes burn, and Evan felt he liked the child more and more.

"And that is?" Skye asked.

"Loyalty." Evan smiled, before saying "how is it?"

"Yes!" Iran said, and Skye nodded her head.

"Evan..." Evelynn looked towards Evan, who shrugged.

How would he go past the laws restricting orphans from coming in close contact with pokemon and training before the age of 14?

Simple.

"I will adopt you both." Evan smiled, before offering both of them his hand.
