Telling Secrets

After waking up I was determined to find out all I could from Nick about the visiting Alpha, but in order to get anything out of him about werewolves, I had to tell him something in return.

So, after doing the crap, I needed to do to get ready for the day, I hurriedly got to my baby and went to school, this time having a reason to go.

A couple minutes later I'm in the school parking lot looking for Nick and avoiding all the usual looks I receive when I get to the parking lot of the school.

I see a black Lamborghini pull up and I instantly know its Nick by how all the girls gather around the car like moths to a flame.

He steps out with that Alpha confidence to him, and I head towards him. He sees me and pulls me into a hug as soon as I get within arm's reach. He ignored all the other females that gathered around him as if they weren't there.

Many girls had faces of jealousy, but I just ignored it because it didn't bother me one bit. I know what and who I am, so no one else's opinion matters to me really.

"We need to talk," I said as I ended our hug, then headed into the woods with him following behind me with a confused look on his face.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" He asked once we were far enough into the wood where no one could hear us.

"I'm a werewolf," I say getting straight to the point. There was no point in beating around the bush.

He looks surprised at first before he quickly covers it and starts laughing. Immediately my wolf and I get annoyed he might be an Alpha but so are we and Alphas don't like not being taken seriously.

"What's so funny?" I questioned crossing my arms over my chest still not dropping the seriousness in my voice or my face.

"You... You think y... you're a werewolf" he said in between laughs. He was laughing pretty hard for someone who knows they exist

"I don't think I know," I said with a serious face "and I know your one too," I said uncrossing my arms and taking a step towards him.

He stopped laughing immediately and looked at me skeptically as if pondering whether to believe me

"How do you know I'm a werewolf? " He questions while taking a step towards me

"Cause I'm one too" I replied

"I would have smelled you," he says sniffing the air

"I can cover my scent," I told him while crossing my arms again nonchalantly

"Show me," he says once again skeptical

"Fine," I said

I unmasked my scent and walked up to him until our chests were touching. He leaned in and sniffed me instantly growling and this is exactly why I took him into the woods.

I used my werewolf speed and quickly put distance between us.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me?" He growled as his eyes started switching colors and his wolf was fighting to come out. His Alpha genes felt threaten with another Alpha on his land without his permission.

"I didn't want to have to deal with this or be in a situation where I have to fight an alpha," I said monotone keeping all emotions out as to not anger him more

"What the hell do you think is going to happen now?" He growled through clenched teeth as his canines slightly grew. He was slowly losing control over his wolf and if I don't calm him down, I was going to have to fight him.

"Look, Nick, I am an Alpha, and I don't want to fight. I'm not here for that I'm here because I am a lone wolf and you've known me for a while...have I ever posed a threat to you or your pack?"

"No," he says a little bit more calmly as his eyes no longer switch colors and his canines slowly retract the more, he ponders what I said.

"See....so are we still friends. .... Nicky? " I said smiling at him

He smiles at my nickname but then goes serious again.

"Only on one condition," he says tilting his chin up and crossing his arms over his chest

"Okay, what is it?" I shrugged

"Show me your wolf," he says smirking

"Why?" I asked confused

"Well we're best friends and I just barely found out my best friend is a werewolf....hey wait that's why you could pin me ...well that and you're an Alpha.....which reminds me what pack are you from?"

I instantly tensed up not wanting to talk about my past. Apparently, my change in mood was obvious as Nick noticed and was quick to change the subject.

"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to," he said awkwardly scratching the back of his neck

I nod and head to a tree to shift after undressing myself, but Nick quickly stopped me

"Wait where are you going? " He says taking a step towards me

"Well did you want to see my wolf or not?" I said smirking at him

"Yeah...but you don't have to go behind a tree to change you know I don't mind," he says winking at me

"You perv," I said as I hid behind a tree and undressed quickly shifting into my wolf. I came back out and ran toward Nick knocking him off his feet

"Okay okay can I get up please?" He asked laughing

I moved from on top of him and he stood up brushing dirt from his clothes.

"Well short-stuff you're not so short anymore," he says while inspecting my wolf

I give him a playful growl and he put his hands up in mock surrender laughing slightly at his own joke.

"Okay okay my bad I'm sorry.....my turn," he says as he starts undressing right in front of me

I quickly turn around and he has the nerve to say

"Oh, come on it's not like you don't want to see me naked"

I can practically visualize the freaking smirk on his face. A couple of seconds later I hear the familiar sound of bones breaking and realigning. Then a hazel colored wolf stands next to me and our fur brushed against each other, both of us being an alpha we are the same height.

He nods his wolf head in the direction of the woods and then crouches down as if about to sprint. I get the memo and nod crouching down next to him we look at each other and mentally count to three. Taking off I started at a jog which I knew he could keep up with. Once he started speeding up, I decided I would do the same and started to sprint easily losing him.

I sprint past a tree then turn around and head back to put my clothes on. I get there about a minute before he does and once, we are both dressed we meet each other again.

"How the hell do you run so fast?" Was the first thing he asks

Guess someone doesn't like losing

"Alpha here duh," I say

"I'm an alpha too and you ran faster than me," he says with his pride hurt

"Cause I trained a lot" I reply nonchalantly

"Anyway, now that you know my secret can I ask you a question? "

"Depends, what's the question?"

"Okay let's say I want to know who the visiting alpha on this land is"

"Well, why do you want to know?" He asked

"I can't tell you" I reply quickly

"Then I can't tell you who he is," he said

"Nick please"

"If I tell you, will you tell me?"

"...if that's the only way yes," I said caving in

"Promise?"

"promise"

"Okay he is the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack the strongest pack in the world he and his pack members are all highly trained his pack is the closest to ours and we have a treaty that has to be renewed every year," he says

"How long is he going to be here"

"It usually takes about a week so he should be gone by Monday"

That means I just have to stay away from him long enough to not get attached

my wolf whimpers at the thought knowing our mate have another mate

"so, are you going to tell me why you wanted to know about a visiting Alpha? You promised" he added

"he.... he's my mate," I say not giving away any emotion

"That son of a bitch! He has another females mark... he's fucking marked and it's not even by his own fucking mate" he rants but suddenly stops and looks at me as if realizing how it must have affected me.

"I'm sorry," he says then pulls me into a hug "he's a jerk who doesn't deserve you if he couldn't wait for someone as special as you."

I was surprised at what he said I can't believe the big bad Alpha player actually has a soft side

"It's okay Nick I don't need a mate and I never wanted one," I said

"Okay... so now that we got that over with, this does not leave the forest my reputation cannot be ruined," he says as he pulls back

"Way to ruin the moment Nicky"

he laughs and we start to head back to the school

"Oh um ...short-stuff I have one more secret and I guess you're the reason why this happened, but I think you should know that he's going to come to this School while he's here"
