Chapter 20: Bluffing Her Way into Contacts

She watched them as they checked on what she had said. The first thing they’d do, she knew, was look up who Andrew Carlisle was. A little bit of research would show that he was an upper-level executive at Boran, in the finance department. She’d found his name in the article that showed the investment in Crimson.

Once they confirmed that, they’d call their boss. And she was already thinking of another layer to the lies she was building.

She changed her visible class to Executive Assistant at Boran Tech, in case anyone scanned her.

A notification appeared, telling her that her Persuasion, Intimidation, and Streetwise had all increased. And another that she had gained a point of Subterfuge and TWO points of Quick Memory. And there was five thousand experience points rewarding her for that particular encounter.
