Hello, my name Y/N. I'm just your average high school student with Decent commitment to my hobby.Anyway I'm currently busy playing online match on PC so enough with this standard introduction.

"Man, today is my bad luck. Dang I need to finish this round fast or I toast."
As I am currently playing Armored Core 6:Fires of Rubicon multiplayer match. This game was in the market months ago. At first I almost quit the game because of the great filter boss Helicopter Chan but I prevail after weeks of cooldown.Seriously getting your ass kicked dozens of times is like playing dark soul as a first timer before playing any of the games on hardcore difficulty. Ok I know that is just exaggerating but most new players feel the same as I do.
This is my very first AC game I ever played and currently playing on PC. My AC build is a middle weight class with Ibis part from core and leg. the head I use is shade eye with Nachtreiher arm.
Note:Yeah I know.its just stupid random build. Don't remind me
I heard this is the first time like forever Soft game makes this game competiable with PC since this game was originally designed for Console in mind.
Anyway back to the game as I assault boost straight to enemy Meta build AC AKA tank build with tons of missile and hit and run tactics.I use dual heavy machine gun DF MG-02 CHANG-CHEN to build stagger points. Then I hit it with a stunt needle to completely stagger them long enough to make a giant hole with my giant road of death, Pile Bunker.
BOOM...!!?
Such satisfying sound.Unfortunately,due to the nature of Tank Build and noob status. I couldn't finish it off in one shoot but at least weakened to the point that I only needed a few well shot to win the matches.Alas my mom called from downstairs interrupting this precious moment in the heat of battle.
"Son, please go out and get the clothes that have been dried. It's almost rainy today."
"Wait mom. I need a few minutes to finish the games" As I speak loudly as I move zig zag across the map to get some close distance with 90% concentration.
"When I said now and I really meant it.Get your ass down here or else.Can you just pause the game or something"
"This is an online game mom. You can't just. Wait wait wait. Stoppu stoppu"
As I begin to panic. My opponent has taken the advantage when I distracted and finished me off with an assault boost,macross missile attack and kicked shit out of me.
Annoyed, I have no choice but to obey her commands or my precious PC getting wrecked again. I still remember she almost threw into rubbin trash tho.I close my PC immediately and head straight with haste to the balcony to pick up dried clothes.
After I did my duty as a faithful son, I resumed the game with the next match but my phone call notification suddenly made a sound. Apparently it was from my friend and I answered the call.
"Hello Keith, what up"
"Bro, sorry for interrupting your precious holiday. But can we meet each other tomorrow. I have something to show you"
"Hmmm.... Ok. I happen to be in a bad mood today. So where should we meet up?
"As usual we hang out. You know cyber cafe.No how about star buck. Here let me share the location"
"Huuuh... Ok."
"Great, meet me at 11 a.m. Trust me it's really good stuff"
"Man are you sure stuff you are showing is not something illegal. Or my Otaku sence telling me this is indeed amazing and magical? " half jokingly with a sarcasm tone.
"Just wait for tomorrow and you know it. Just one thing, stuff I'm gonna show you might be illegal."

As Keith cut off the line before I getting the answer out of him. I hope this is nothing to do with some sort of anime plot line or Manwha and whatever shenanigans heading my way.

" 'SIGN' As expected from a guy making a promise. Rarely on time."
As I waited patiently while drinking chocolate malt powder. Man this drink is soo good. Alas it's because of its price I can't order regularly but hei it's my money from part time works. Almost an hour waiting and finally the guy has come.
Keith, he is wearing a red jersey with dark blue jeans. He is a pretty tall guy around 178cm. Oh why did I say tall because I'm a short person like 160 cm or so.
"Sorry Y/N, I have stuff to do last night." Said as like he did not do anything wrong. His eyes seem to have developed an eye bag but not too noticeable enough to be called a panda.
"Heh, can I assume this 'stuff' you are busy with has something to do with the stuff you gonna show me today?" I ask with an annoyed tone. I noticed the black wrap package on his left hand before he sat opposite of me.
"Eeerrggh... You are closer to the truth. Anyway remember yesterday when I said about showing amazing stuff. Here take a look". as he gave the package to me with smug on his face. Upon receiving it, I immediately opened the content and I saw a video game dvd cover.
"Super Robot Mercenary Onto Multiverse version 3.0+1.0?. Is this some doujin game you make or what.The title also sounds like rip off from several mecha franchises to.I think this is the stuff you going to show me.What it's illegal about this. Some sort of eroge cover ?" I ask with a doubt and I continue looking at the disk cover back and front several times. I continue to barrage Keith with questions
" Stop stop. Let me explain first. *Cough* Some ancient Chinese proverb once said 'don't judge the book by its cover.' There is a reason why I'm showing you this. It's related to this game that forces me to share it with you."
"Ok first I'm pretty sure that's not a Chinese proverb, probably. Second why do I have a feeling that this has a similar situation like the anime Accel World." I respond with my eye on the package with suspiciously
"That's otaku for ya. Yes it's similar but it's not using high tech vr stuff. You know our world didn't have that yet. And no this is not a death game or anything. Just plain old computer game with almost no magic shenanigans" he said it with small chuckles and giggles. bastard, just because I like watching anime it doesn't mean I'm otaku or anything.Wait what?
"Explain" while doing Gendo Pose while slurping the remaining my choco Malta.
"Hey you know the recent mecha game trailer.?"
"You mean Mecha Break?" Still puzzled with the question. My curiosity has grown up more with the topic we discussed.
"Yes but it has more freedom similar to GTA or better analogy Ready Player One but restricted to mecha.There are no in game robot but you can use other assets from other games or franchise.Imagine playing as Gundam while fighting Titan class imperial from Warhammer 40k. Alas the only downside is it's limited to current computers platforms movement so no high end freedom like the movie. Still you can perform more action than the current mecha game."
"How the heck this game has not yet get copyright strike? Using other robot designs without permission are illegal.Let alone publish a game"
"Eh... don't worry about it. Those corporations won't intervene because this game is only played by select people so there are not many people actually playing it let alone heard anything about it. Plus this is just the beta version or something I heard. Again don't worry about it"
With skeptical look and jerking from his respond, I asking another question "If you said it's true, why me?"
"Because I trust you enough to share this joy of mine with you"
"Eeww.. is this just a bromance aura or just plain gay. Anyway mind telling more about this game more?" I teased him a bit for little payback earlier.
"Ouch..., All I can is the game are not your average game. It somehow has function regulates the game mechanics to players who are familiar with its recent or favourite mechanics such as FPS or so. Just said, current game you played is Armored Core 6 right?"
"Yes what about it" while eye Browing straight at Keith face
"Good. When you enter the game just answer the question at the beginning and bang you can play without much trouble."
"Hooo, what else should I expect. With this much hype. So what is the catch when you go to such length to share it with me."
"Oh it's related to the game. It needs me to share it with friends I can trust. But it's not mandatory so the rewards to sweet to be ignore.Be careful, once you play you get hooked easily.Plus the NPC pretty much realistic to.You can use an interface or microphone to interact with them during a mission. For multiplayer, you need to reach a certain level. Once you reach it you know it. Any questions?"
"Actually I do, about no in game robot? You mean there is no original mech in these games.Are data import needed to play as it sounds hassle to do that. Very annoying if you ask anybody" After a few seconds of Silent. Keith seemed serious so I waited for his response a little longer.Then He finally opened his mouth.
"You know, when talking long ass like this I finally noticed how thirsty I am. Plus I forgot I have groceries to buy. How about this, you play first then meet me again after you reach a certain level to unlock multiplayer.Plus it's no fun if I spoil everything.Later, I will share my ID with you. Deal." With a pretending innocent face,he gives peace signs with a long smile showing his teeth.
"Geez.. deal" As I give up to ask more questions. As he said, what fun is if the journey we already know.Better explore it myself to see how good this give is.
After finishing both of our drinks we go a separate way. Before our vision beyond our reach Keith said to me one last time.
" Y/N you don't have to worry about storage capacity. Remember what I said is almost magical. Just download it and you know.All of the tutorial just in game.Again no need to worry.You just have to follow the instructions.Wish you luck on your first gameplay" And he turned around and headed to the grocery.Still puzzling and hype still on high. I run faster to my home to install the game to see it myself.
Anyway there is still time before dinner so why not try right now.After inserting the disk and finish downloading after less than 5 minutes. Oh boi Keith did said it is almost like magical. The storage indicator has shown around 666 megabytes which is not realistic.Because majority of the game right now and can reach staggering 100gb+ or even higher.Nah.. why bother to think about stuff like this. I'm here to play not questioning.
After game icon has appeared on desktop,I immediately click it and loading screen appears with colourful title from the game.
