Chapter 2: IS IT WRONG TO BE REINCARNATED OUTSIDE THE DUNGEON?

=LOCATION: Dungeon=

An underground complex labyrinth located under Babel from Orario. The place where adventurers of different races and backgrounds explore the Dungeon. But exploring is difficult as the dungeon is seemingly alive, repairing itself everyday and spawns monsters from walls to ceilings to kill adventurers.

The monsters serves as the enemy of the world. Each floor has different monsters types spawning with all of them lurk around to attack and to kill adventurers within their sight, range of smell and other senses.

In an unknown humongous cave within the dungeon, there's a pungent smell of blood, sight of broken swords and the remains of one human corpse without legs, head nor arm. In front of the human remains, there are 2 monsters' corpses that are filled with swords, many burn marks, slashes & stab marks in front of the human corpse.

If people could see it, It portrays the story of adventurer's one last struggle against the monsters with the 3 of them losing their lives.

All of a sudden,

*Flashes of light appearing*

a bunch of lights entered through the cave. They entered inside the corpse and a different set of lights gathered beside the corpses. The light that entered the human corpse began to cover the corpses with light. After covering the corpse with blinding light, the light separates into 5 directions and expands. The other lights covering the monster's corpses then expanded too.

Alex gained consciousness and then tried feeling his surroundings.

Alex awakened from slumber but he can't see nor hear but he could feel the sensation of having numbing static head, arms and legs, especially his legs, back and middle forehead.

The feeling of his flesh, bone and blood, being reconstructing from nothing and being stretched was something that he couldn't fully understand but could only feel.

Alex sleeps again after feeling drowsiness.

Meanwhile the body is being reconstructed, He is currently seeing the memories belonging to the corpse.

Based on the memories of the human corpse, it belonged to a young adventurer. He was a level 2 adventurer that joined a familia that Alex doesn't remember.

It shows him the night and the place when the young adventurer's falna was examined by his goddess with an unknown name that doesn't ring a bell to Alex's memories from watching the Danmachi anime.

The goddess told him that he finally achieved D rank on magic. The goddess advised him to accumulate excelia until it overflows in order to become a Second Class adventurer. After hearing his goddess, The young adventurer decided to explore the lower floor and he didn't listen to the warnings from fellow older familia members.

The next day, he was on the 20th floor heading towards 24th floor, One floor belonging to the Large Tree Labyrinth. The floor is made up of a forest, many plantations, small caves and traps.

The young man attempted the 'gathering of healing plants' quests and managed to recruit a team with 10 adventurers(level 4 adventurers and below) from the same familia.

With teamwork, they've successfully hide from strong monsters and kill monsters they could handle in front of them.

When they're tired from fighting, they found the nearest cave and set up their camping gear to rest. But a big mistake as they're not alone in the cave.

As they were resting inside the cave

Another group appeares out from the shadows, estimated to be 50 members with blood splattered on their white robs that covers their whole body, making them unrecognisable.

That group are holding decapitated human heads expressing pain and despair. That group saw the young adventurer team.

They belong to the Evilus, dark faction consisting of Evilus members, deranged lunatics and believers that seeks chaos, murderers of citizens and adventurers, always creates troubles to Orario after Zeus Familia and Hera Familia left Orario. They are responsible for the continus increase crime rates on Orario. Their presence makes civilians trembles and hide in terror despite the guild and various familias protecting Orario.

The Evilus group immediately runs towards the team with their weapons drawn, bloodlust targeting the opposinf adventurers.

The team quickly recognized the group. They then immediately tries exiting the cave away from the evilus group.

Even though they rested a bit, they're not capable to fight many Evilus members that are four times more powerful than the adventurer team.

With desperation spelled within their faces and no other options presented, to escape from the Evilus. Before they escape the cave, the team betrayed the young adventurer by one of them slashed his legs and used him as a bait for the Evilus, leaving him to defend himself against the approaching Evilus members alone while the rookie team escapes.

Many Evilus members kept chasing the rookie team while some Evilus members stopped. Those who stopped then tortured and beheaded the young adventurer. They placed two dead monster corpses in front of the human corpse to plant false evidence for his death and mostly to hide their tracks.

After that, they started to chase the other Evilus members hunting the former teammates of the dead young adventurer but it looks like they will meet the main group for a long time as the main group was far away from the left behind.

Evilus? I don't remember this group exists from the anime but having the young adventurer's memories helped me know them a bit. Did they disappeared or did something happen to them before Bell Cranel arrived? According to the memories, they're still present and they're feared by civilians and adventurers too while in season 1-3 they're not present nor mentioned by adventurers nor anime. They're probably mentioned somewhere on the anime but I never paid attention to details back then.

Alex wandered to the existence of the group while covered in light.

=TIMESKIP: COUPLE OF MOMENTS=

After a couple of moments, the lights diminished as the processes had ended, his fingers twitched and toes wiggling.

He begun raising his head slightly.

Then

Alex opened his eyes and glanced at his sides.

He especially looked to his lower right side to see that he now has right leg again. He rubbed his new right leg with the Germa '66' tattoo still wiggling his right toes.

*drip* *drip* *drop*

"I have it?! haha! my right leg!....Good to have you again buddy." Tears of happiness shedding from his eyes but didn't notice nor felt another stream of tears running above his two eyes as he is overwhelmed with joy.

He will notice it soon.

He's feeling shocked and happy the same time. He smiled, felt emotional after rubbing and feeling his new muscular fleshy right leg because in his past life, it was replaced with a prosthetic after losing his right leg during his military deployments.

After tapping and celebrating his new fleshy right leg. He wiped his tears in his face with both of his hands but felt weird as he noticed now the third stream of tears is still running down in this nose. It was tears as he wiped it down and confirmed it.

Using his right hand, he traced where the third stream of tears was coming from and felt something surpassing his long eyebrows, something with tiny hairs. He felt something centered in his forehead.

Unbelievable! a third eye?! It's closed but just like Charlotte Pudding I could open it whenever.

He opens his third eye and his vision improves it begins to see things slightly better.

This is amazing! I can see slightly above than my two eyes can see. I can't deny that it's weird at first but now It's great to have three eyes. Too bad the people here don't have third eyes based on the dead adventurer memories. but---

---Do I really need the Third eye?---

---With this third eye, I have the unawakened ability called 'VOICE OF ALL THINGS' but this isn't One Piece world but could it work? Haki and a certain devil fruit can give me better ocular powers. If I kept this third eye, I'll probably be severely discriminated against by different races or worst is they'll treat me as a monster that will hunt me till death and ban me from entering the dungeon---

---Not like I can't find ways to sneakily enter the dungeon but there's too many cons than pros. F*** it! It's a waste but I'll find a way to get rid of this third eye.

Alex encouraged himself.

With the new third eye, he snapped back to reality and immediately searched if there's other people near him

after seconds passed, he concluded that there's no one but him, which made him feel relief. He surveys his current location with curiousity.

So I was placed in the Dungeon?! Why didn't r.o.b. dropped me in a silent and peaceful place? now I have to face monsters the first day....Nevermind, I'm finally reincarnated, even if it's not the World of One Piece...Sweet! Let's see this dungeon first and find out where I'm at.

Alex raised his head as he was lying down

Dust appears and small rocks fall to the ground.

His head hit the ceiling of the cave but it didn't hurt him. The ceiling now has a big hole because of Alex's head. He used his fingers to get rid of debris in his eyes and hair. He touched something above his ears after getting rid of the debris, it's 2 large horns he felt and identified. He surveyed his surroundings.

I have horns too? I have to get rid of them too. More importantly, Where am I? This place is very cramp, I can't stand nor sit. At least I'm a guy in this world too, it will be very hard for me to control the female body. Yeah! Hehehaha! Look at that! I have a huge one! but it's too humongous.....wait! why is everything so small?

He now reminded himself that he's still inside the cave of the Dungeon's 20th floor. The cave is far and wide but not tall enough for him to sit fully nor stand.

He looked at his arms and feet, he saw his lean and muscular build, most of his tattoos, legs hairs that reminded him of the leg hairs of One Piece's males, and that he's gigantic and naked too. A breeze of air flew within his naked body and made Alex shiver but didn't cover his body since he's alone and more focused to things besides him. He moves position from laying down into bowing position but his head is curled down and looking down.

"FINALLY I HAVE THEM ALL! A fine collection to my pirate's booty. Yeah! hehehaha!" He laughs with greed as he looked to the side to see piles of oddly shaped fruits with different patterns, swirls and colors that he's familiar with, the devil fruits.

Along with 18 thick books and 2 letters on top. He stopped celebrating and immediately frown after looking at the titles of these books.

Alex saw the 2 letters found at the top of the books. He took and read the letter with number 1 displayed.

The Letter combust and fire appeared as if it knows that Alex completely read it.

He threw away the burning letter quickly. The fire completely devoured the letter within seconds the letter vanished with the fire.

"I'm 65'7 ft (20 m or 2000 cm) tall?! Just like the giants. This is a problem because people here are less than 7ft/2m tall, I need to reduce my height too. But the great news, I'm OP Haha! GREAT R.O.B. isn't this overkill?" Alex laughs and celebrates after reading the letter's contents while sitting but his head is in bow down position.

9 years till canon? huh! it's not interesting when it's not my favourite anime I'd reincarnated in but I still got a second life and that's great. For me, the danmachi is good since it has anime adaptations and rumored games.....I think.....but It's not my cup of tea. At least I know something from the dead young adventurer's memories and from watching season 1-3. I'll know more in the future. One great thing is that I'm registered in guild already and I can change my name when I reach the guild lobby, just like those MMORPG games. Sweet!
