How practical?

It was unfortunate for Victoria that, no matter how hard she tried to get in contact with Drake, she never succeeded. She had even compelled her friend Noah to find more information about him for her. She was very sombre about Drake and she will do everything in her power to get him.

Noah, however, had in the weekend called to tell her he had some information. She was filled with excitement and couldn't wait to meet him. Which means her plans will eventually fall into place if she gets some useful information out of what Noah was about to show her.

"So, what do you have for me?." she asked as she sipped her drink using her ladylike skills.

"Something actionable." he said in reply to her question.

"How practical?." She asked again. He frowned.

"Useful enough to help you find out more about your little crush." he said, feeling insulted by her questions.

"Whatever, just get to what you have".she enquired.

He sighed before he begun "Well, I found out his company is in partnership with the Montenegro Group Of Companies and....".

"And how is that going to help me get to him?"she snarled.

"It's going to help you get to him because after the two companies met, He had been seen multiple times going out on dates with Montenegro's daughter, and so I think there seems to be something between them".he sputtered.

Veronica became fumed with anger at the information she just got. There was no way she was going to allow Drake to be taken from her. She needs to do something to get rid of this girl. But how she was going to was the problem. She doesn't know who she is or where she came from, but from the rumours of Mr. Montenegro's children, his daughter was known to be sinfully beautiful. That irritated her even more and couldn't wait to get her hands on her.

" I need you to find her for me. Do everything in your power to get her captured. Tell your men to search everywhere till she is found and until then, do not try to call me. However when you do find her, call me , I shall deal with her myself". She said then walked out of the bar.

Drake had arrived home early in the morning to take a bath, get dressed, go to the cemetery and then get back to Jessica's house. He had made up his mind to pay her a visit four times every week to take care of her. Now he sat and watched her take in the food bit by bit. He smiled to himself and felt happy that she was regaining her strength back while she was blushing like a thousand suns.

"Could you stop smiling at me and eat your food". she said shyly.

"I will eat when you are satisfied with yours". he said.

"You don't have to do that".

"Oh yes, I do. It is my priority to make you happy, healthy and pretty always".

She blushed more and she could feel the heat crawling on her skin. She smiled at him and continued eating. They chatted for a while before Drake left for work after Olivia came to keep her daughter company.

"Hello, my name is Richmond Morley and as you can see with my card here, I am an investigator sent from the White House ''. he said, showing her his card. "I came to ask you a few questions about your lady boss, which is Mr. Montenegro's daughter I mean". He spoke without taking a break.

Amanda was staring coldly at the man sitting in front of her. She could sense something bad come from him. She wanted to rush home to get some sleep, as all her loins hurt so badly. But however, this was about her friend and boss so she was going to stay awake for a thousand years to hear what the man had to say " What can I help you with?".

"How long have you known your lady boss, mam". he asked

"Since childhood ". she replied to his question.

"And ever since you knew her did you see anything suspicious about her. Like her doing something which was not expected of her to do".

"No ". Amanda replied. She was starting to get daunted by the questions he was asking. She felt that the man had some bad side, but she just hopes her friend hasn't done anything wrong. She also needs to be careful because she knew eyes were on her friend, ever since she was kidnapped. So she gird herself for whatever question was being thrown her way.

After all his questions had been answered, he stood up and thanked her for her service and time. He then turned around and left. Amanda kept staring at him as he made his way out of the cafeteria. After she had confirmed that he was out of eyeshot, she drew out her phone from her purse then made a quick call to Jessica.

Jessica assured her that she had been in the house for over two weeks now ever since she found out she was pregnant.Of course, Amanda being one of her best friends, knew about Jessica's condition. She had even made up her mind before to help take care of the child since she couldn't wait to be called aunty very soon. But now that Drake was back, she was thinking of a plan B.

Amanda advised Jessica to inform Drake about this matter. Criminals weren't just looking for her for money, but someone might have sent them to kill her. And they need to know who it is.
