A tense silence fell over the atmosphere in the car.
The king had indeed been single for over three decades now… and that was just as far as Arthur could remember. Such a thing shouldn't have mattered really… but now, it did.
Gray, however, was not so ready to accept this possibility, "It's his choice. Father made a choice to honour our mother and that's what he's done all these years."
Arthur gave a low chuckle, "Oh, don't give me that. You know the stories… You know how kind Queen Helen was. Would she really have wanted him to stay like this for all these years?
It's not like he's undesirable either. Father is a phoenix, which means he barely ages. He's still well within his prime and has been pursued by very many of our kind over the years…
But not once has he ever shown interest. Not even once, Gray. Aren't you curious?" Arthur asked.
