Framing Attempt
Arthur found himself seated at the furthest end of the Squad Six table sulking after receiving a severe 'talking to' from Professor Draul on safety and the risks of trying things that were 'far too dangerous.'
He could still remember the man's most prominent words going, 'Did the idea of racing against a physically superior shifter not even ring a bell in that tiny brain of yours?'
…to which he'd wanted to reply, 'I'm a phoenix, for Solaris' sake!'
Between these thoughts and the fact that he'd experienced firsthand the overwhelming sensation of having another's flame essence invade his system, Arthur did not know what to make of his situation.
Not to mention the fact that the person of flame interest was Princess Lyra, 'Does royal flame essence have a different feel to it?' he mused.
