The hall looked exactly as it had the same and she couldn't help but reminisce about her second life. That was when she had finally had an epiphany. In her original lifetime this was the hall that was used to humiliate and mock her.

She could still remember everything clearly as if it was happening all over again. That day she had gone back after a long day and had planned to stay in for the entire night. Only to find out that her husband was holding a banquet and had not bothered to inform her.

The house was well lit with soothing music flowing out of the back hall. They didn't use that section of the house a lot because she had never been a social person. Wondering what was happening she had taken a detour and approaches the brightly lit hall.

That's when she saw it a hall full of decadently dressed people with wine glasses in the hands. Everything was glaring to her the band playing in the front, the service staff walking around even all the decorations.

She lived and slept in this house and yet she had not been informed of any banquet taking place. Her feet subconsciously walked into the deeper everything seemed like a dream to her. Even the mocking gazes all directed at her dressing and demeanor.

"Thank you so much for hosting us tonight," she heard a deep voice appreciate and turned to see her husband smiling happily holding his secretary in his arms.

"It's nothing just a small little gathering" the woman answered smiling brightly as she leaned onto her husband's hand. She could not believe it, while she was busy trying her best to make everything work he was here with another woman.

From the beginning she knew their marriage was only an arrangement with no emotions involved. Yet she had still believed that they could stay together as partners or friends and maybe eventually as lovers. How naive she had been to believe a spoilt fourth generation rich kid would be faithful.

"Tian Fei" she called out to the adulterous man hoping that he would be embarrassed at getting caught but she had still been too trusting.

"Oh, you are back" he acknowledged nonchalantly still holding onto the dainty waist of his secretary who was staring at her in confusion.

"Is that all you have to say?" she asked walking towards the couple as the people around them stared with curiosity.

"What else do you want me to say?" he asked staring down at her with contempt. She stood there in her black hoody and blue faded jeans staring up into his eyes.

He was right what else was he supposed to say after blatantly showing his thoughts to everyone. What else was expected from him an ignorant, dumb, spoilt man like him. Why was she even tolerating this and thinking up excuses for his brainless actions.

"I don't know, " she retorted grabbing onto the woman who still shamelessly clinging onto his hand. She yelped in shock as she pulled off and punched in the face.

Gasps and screams could be heard around the room as even the band stopped playing. The woman was dazed and stepped back looking down at the short figure that now looked intimidating.

She suddenly felt someone pull her hair and yelped at the pain she felt before being shoved into an awkward half kneeling half standing position.

"Maybe beg me to let her go" a cold voice suddenly spoke before she felt a cold sharp edge against her neck. The man rushing towards them quickly froze up and raised his hands as if facing a wounded animal.

"Don't do this she is just- " he tried to defend.

"What a slut that opens her legs to other people's husbands?" she heard the voice above her question and felt embarrassed as everyone stared at her.

"Don't worry I won't kill her but first get all this people out of my house" she commanded before pressing the knife deeper into her neck.

"Everyone could you please leave, we have some issues to attend to" he announced and watched as the people slowly left looking back at the couple.

"Now you can let her go" he requested carefully after the hall had been cleared. She had always been a calm, thoughtful and gentle woman. He had never thought a day would come when she held someone at knife point.

He had always felt she was cute because of her short stature. Always looking up at people when interacting with them because she refused to wear heels. Now her short figure was emitting a strong aura that made him want to submit.

"Do want to know why I am so late today?" she asked gripping the hair more tightly and pulling roughly. He didn't want to know but also realized she had a knife on someone's throat and nodded.

"Well someone sent people to kill me"

She shot up from the bed in shock and looked around the unfamiliar hospital room before lying back on the bed weakly. Soon her eyes grew shut as she drifted into sleep.
