Chapter 7

Liam's POV:

One thought was looping in Liam's head as people filed into his home 'I was not prepared for this'. He didn't even know why he agreed to it in the first place, it definitely wasn't his scene.

Maybe he wanted people to notice him, people outside his small friend group. None of his friends had arrived yet, said they wanted to be fashionably late. Leaving him standing there, alone at his own party. He looked around for anyone he recognised, but it was just a sea of unfamiliar faces.

He started to walk around, still looking for someone, anyone to talk to. That was when the front door opened and there stood the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Her long hair flowed down her body falling over every curve and bump, her dress hugged her in all the right places, but it was her eyes, her startling blue eyes that really caught his attention. Eyes that suddenly locked with his making his heart skip a beat.

He didn't even notice that time was still flowing and wasn't just standing still until someone bumped into him. He looked away and the spell was broken, when he looked back she was gone.

He scanned the room but couldn't see any sign of her, where did she disappear to?

Chloe's POV:

A guy knocked into Liam breaking their stare, and Chloe flustered quickly headed to the kitchen to get away. 'What just happened?'

She decided to try to avoid Liam for now until her brain decided to cooperate and tell her what exactly just happened. Seeing shots on the kitchen counter Chloe made a beeline for them and took three, shaking her head afterward.

She headed for the living room/ dance floor, and just let the music consume her. She didn't care if people were looking at her because in that moment there was just her.

After who knows long, when her feet became sore and her steps dragging, she slowed to a stop and headed for the kitchen. She grabbed a glass of water and closed her eyes resting back up against the countertop.

"Nice moves."

Chloe's eyes fluttered open, only to find a very awkward looking Liam.

"What?"

"Oh umm, nice moves, on the dance floor ya know."

"Oh right" Chloe giggled, that was such a Liam thing to say.

"You uh, wanna dance with me?"

"Actually I was thinking of going outside and taking a breath of fresh air, wanna come?"

She didn't wait for his reply before walking out the side door. The cool air embraced her, and her breath made a cloud in the air. Footsteps announced Liam's approach and she turned around to meet him.

"The sky looks pretty tonight."

Chloe laughed, it was such a stupid thing but for the first time in years she laughed.

Half an hour later and Chloe and Liam were still talking, nothing particularly interllectual just random stupid things. She laughed so hard at something stupid Liam said that she leaned against him for support. She was full on hysterical at this point, clutching her stomach as she wheezed. She looked up to find Liam staring at her weirdly, and with no warning he leaned down and kissed her. It was like nothing she had ever experienced, fireworks exploded and in that moment she was suddenly filled with a burning desire she had never before felt.

She broke the kiss, only to push him up against the house wall, and kissed him again, harder. She could feel his shock, but a few seconds later he relaxed and melted into the kiss. They drew apart but stayed close inches away from one another eyes interlocked. A loud group stumbled out of the house shouting and roaring.

"Right, so, umm." Liam started taking a step back.

"Ya. So I've gotta go, so I'll see you around." Chloe needed to get out of there.
