Dinner in Florida

During dinner, Kelly called Ella on the phone as she promised and she picked it up

" hello " Ella without even asking the reason she was being called, went straight to the point " have you guys started having a family meeting ?"

" you didn't even ask me how my journey went or my stay here," Kelly asked over the phone with a faked frown

" I don't need to ask you about that because I know you will be fine, so, are you in the meeting now ?"

" no, but I will soon join them " Kelly replied with a little pout

" good, just hold on there, don't cut the call, put the ear pod on, and wait for my replies " Ella instructed over the phone Kelly nosed at her " okay ma'am, I have heard you "

" am not your mother Kelly don't call me ma'am" Ella warned over the phone and Kelly burst out laughing, then suddenly her face brighten up on remembering what happened that afternoon " Ella, you won't believe what happened today, I met the sister"

" the sister you always wish to be like ?". Kelly scrunched up her face on hearing the question Ella asked " hell no, I can never be like her, she is so fucking mean to Donald but trust me, I made her feel like she isn't needed in this world so she can fucking kill herself "

" That's good, you are a good student, and you are learning a lot from me ". Kelly scoffed at hearing her friend's statement " learning from who? you ?"

" of course is me, am a good teacher ". Kelly face palmed at that word " oh my goodness "

" Since you are not ready to join them yet, let me tell you some certain things you need to do for you do not fuck yourself up in their presence, first, when you meet the father, bow slightly before greeting him ....."

" what!!!!!!" Kelly freaked out, she can't do that, she can't bow to anybody, that wasn't her style and this isn't a novel or a movie one has to pretend to be good.

" Just bow a little like a princess....."

" no no no, that's too childish " Kelly replied with a determined tune, even the thought of that act makes her face red with embarrassment

" just do as I say...ugh. Kelly why are you so stubborn ? don't you know that rich people love it when they are being worshipped ".

Kelly was confused, why do rich people think like that, only gods are to be worshipped " but he's not a god" she answered with a sarcastic tune

" is not about being God or something, is about you winning this fight, if you give him his maximum respect then you don't have to worry about winning ". with rolled eyes, Kelly answered" fine, I will do it for the pay "

" good girl that's why I love you "

" I didn't promise you that I will do it, because doing that will be very hard " Kelly lamented, and I am sure the person on the other line must have rolled her eyes.

" Kelly there's nothing in bowing"

" Fine, I will do it " Kelly agreed unwillingly, it didn't take long the door opened and Donald walked inside " dinner is ready, everyone is waiting" he announced and Kelly stood up from the bed

" am gotta go for some family dinner," she said unto her friend on the other line

" Okay, but don't end the call, and make sure you walk hand to hand with Donald over to the dinner table" Ella warned making Kelly wonder how her friend come to know about all the stuff she tipped off to her

" Ella, I have a question for you"

" anything ?"

" Have you been into any form of contract marriage before ?"

" no, but I know how to handle this type of situation very well". Kelly raised a brow, the answer was even confusing, how can someone know about stuff but hasn't been into that stuff

" Kelly be fast before we go late " Donald shouted, bringing her back to reality, oh shit, they are almost late for the dinner. Donald started walking away after he announced their lateness to dinner, as he was about to cross the door, Kelly called him back " where do you think you are going?"

" dinner of course, since you don't wanna go"

" Donald for crying out loud, do you realize the type of situation we are in, you are not helping matters at all, you not performing your role well ". Donald stood there in confusion because he didn't understand anything Kelly is talking about, what does she mean by he is not performing his role well, what does she want him to do? Kelly seeing her husband in a confused state decided to clear the matter with him

" Okay now tell me, what will your father think if you were to go alone to the dining room without me ?". Donald didn't reply to that because he doesn't have anything to say. Kelly noticing how confused her husband was gently stood up from the bed, takes her husband's hand, and lead him toward the dining room.

As they walk hand to hand towards the dining room, Kelly looked up at the dinner table and saw the father sitting with Miriam and one other woman whose face was scrunched up in disgust at the sight of them, without doubt, or somebody telling her, she knew that she must be the arrogant stepmother Karen.

As they came closer to the dinner table, Kelly went forward to greet the father, she bowed slightly in a princess manner in greeting him " good evening father ".

" good evening my daughter " the father was surprised to see a beautiful girl with such a good manner standing beside his first son "how are you doing ?"

" am fine sir "

" you must be my son's bride ? ".

immediately the father asked that she put on a smile to look at her husband before facing the man again, she puts her hand in her heart " more than a bride sir " she answered still putting on that charming smile

" Okay, that's good, you can take a seat over there" he pointed toward an empty seat near him

" thank you sir" she thanked the father and went to take the seat being shown to her by the man which Donald has already seated beside it.

When she sat down on her seat, she waved at Miriam who was sitting in front of her but Miriam hissed and looked away, then she looked at Karen who was sitting beside her daughter " good evening ma " she greeted but Karen gave her a dark gaze before looking away.

" Karen!!, can't you see she is greeting ?" the father yelled at his wife with anger seeing how she deliberately ignored Kelly

" I heard her greeting, what else do you want me to do? hug her? kiss her?" Karen asked with a hiss

" This isn't good, you know that right ?"

" Leonard Stuart, please allow me to enjoy my meal" Karen cautioned her husband while concentrating on her food.

Kelly seeing this smirked mischievously. it didn't take long after the little argument, Fredrick came in with a girl

" sorry we are late," he said immediately after they entered " we were held up by the traffic ". Karen's face brightens at the sight of her son " no problem, you are welcome to join us "

" good evening All " the girl Fredrick brought in greeted as she takes her seat beside him

" Good evening my daughter " Karen greeted back before facing her son " oh, what lovely daughter inlaw you brought for me, uh-huh ". The father was just looking at them without a word

" Brother, how are you doing ?" Miriam asked as she waved toward the girl sitting beside her brother

" am fine" Fredrick answered before facing Donald " Donald, how are doing? long time no see fag"

" am fine slut " Donald answered with a bitter smile because that word Fredrick used on him was too painful for him.

Kelly was just looking at them without a word, well she was thankful that her husband retaliated back because she was expecting less.

As she was studying everyone's faces, she came across someone very familiar, then she looked closely towards the face to know whether her eyes are playing tricks on her " is that Nora !!!!!?" she blurted to everyone's hearing while pointing towards the girl Fredrick brought in, bringing everyone's attention towards her.

" which Nora ? the one we know ?" Ella asked over the phone

" of course the one we know" Kelly answered with a little shock, she wasn't expecting such a surprise.

well, what a coincidence they met again.

" Kelly, you are into a deep shit" Ella muttered over the phone

" don't worry, she won't repeat the same thing she did in high school when I was passing through an emotional breakdown because if she tryna mess up with me, she will not like what might come her way ". As she was talking to Ella over the phone, others were looking at her with confusion.

" I think she is crazy " Miriam commented after looking at how Kelly was talking to herself and others nodded their heads in support even Donald himself.

" your mother is the one that is insane not my friend you idiot" Ella snapped at Miriam over the phone, although to no one's hearing because of the ear pod Kelly was putting on. the girl upon hearing her name being mentioned, looked up to see who was calling her, at first she didn't recognize her, then she looked closely and opened her eyes wide in awe at the realization of who Kelly was.

" do you guys know each other ?" Fredrick asked the girl but she shakes her head " no, I have seen someone like her before, I don't know how she come to know of my name "

" Nora is such a bitch" Ella commented at hearing Nora's statement " Kelly I know everyone is looking at you now like a crazy person"

" of course, everyone is looking at me like a crazy person because am talking to you over the phone, so what are we gonna do about it?"

" don't talk to me again, just listen to whatever am going to say to you, Kelly you need to create a distraction, what I mean is that you have to start doing romantic stuff with Donald " Ella explained over the phone call but Kelly furrowed her brows in confusion " romantic ?" she asked because she doesn't understand how being romantic will help in this awkward situation " what's that? and does it help in this situation ?".

Then she looked up and saw how everybody was looking at her with a frown on their faces " sorry, just listening to a voice note " she explained to make things clearer and to stop them from staring at her like that.

" Okay, we thought you have gone crazy," the father said as he came back from his shocked state at seeing Kelly talking to herself

" I said don't talk again, you are making it more awkward, so all am trying to say is that you have to start doing lovey-dovey things with Donald like feeding him, eating from his mouth, and some other stuff after that, you will see the effects" Ella instructed over the phone call, at first, Kelly didn't believe her because she doesn't understand how being romantic will help in this matter but still, she decided to try it out.

she kissed her husband in front of everybody to bring him back from his shocked state before feeding him her meat " why are you so shocked my dear husband, I was just hearing a voice note from a friend " she kissed him again and started feeding him.

Donald noticing what his wife is trying to do decided to help her. He carried her from her seat and dropped her on his lap for her to feed him properly.

As they were doing that, Karen and her group just were looking at them with full hatred except for the father who was smiling at them.

They kept on doing that until Nora who couldn't bear watching them anymore choked on her food and stood up " I think I might have lost my appetite" she said with a bitter smile as she excused herself

" Likewise here" Miriam added and stood up to leave

" the same here " Karen joined them to leave. Kelly seeing what was happening furrowed her brows in confusion even though she knows what she was doing "where is everyone going ? dinner hasn't finished yet" she asked but wasn't given a reply but a deadly stare by Karen.

Fredrick first looked at them with a smirk on his face before he stood up to leave as well. so it was only the father that was left at the table.

" so is only us left" the father announced, " so tell me Kelly, are you a club stripper ?". Kelly scrunched up her face in disgust " no, I only just went there to take some few bottles with my friends"

well, that was a capital lie.

" Okay, Donald can you please excuse us for a few seconds and let me discuss something with your wife "

" yeah, sure " Donald replied and excused himself because he had strong confidence in his wife, he knows that she will never disappoint him

" Now he is out, why don't we discuss something privately, " the father said

" Like what sir ?"

" like your stay with Donald, how was it, what do you think about him and his behaviors?" the father asked with curiosity, and Kelly noticing where this was going, smiled " Donald is such a good man and a real man, no other man can be like him " then she closed her eyes as if she was dreaming ", especially that night we had sex, I feel like I was in heaven "

" you mean he had sex with you ?". well that was quite a surprise to the man

" yes, at first, he didn't agree but I forced him into sex by seduction and he showed me what a real man he was, that's how we started dating " Kelly lied with no expression on her face making the man agree with what she said

" I didn't know he had that in him"

" well now you know, can I ask you a question ?"

" yes, anything "

" why are you doing this to Donald ?, you know very well that this is his rite and what he should inherit but you are preventing it from him, now he is competing with his Younger brother for it, why ?" Kelly asked

" my daughter you will not understand, the company has already suspected him as gay and if I was to hand over the company to him and he comes out gay, the company will collapse, I can't bear such risks, that's why am doing this, so if you excuse me " he father stood " I have a medication to take, bye " he left

That was how the dinner that night ended with only Kelly at the table
