I stood bored behind my register staring as the blizzard filled the streets with snow, we were slow. Shelby walked up "Maybe we will close early?" I turned to her "I will ask since Darla already feels bad for me."

She laughed "She does not. She very much likes you." I raised my eyebrows "You aren't having a baby out of wedlock. She looks at me like I'm a full sin being unmarried." She rolled her eyes "That little girl was not created by some random guy who dumped you on a street corner. Or some one night..."

I smirked at her "I believe that exactly is what happened." She scoffed "Jackson isn't some guy you hooked up with at a frat party. He is your best friend, future husband, and the father of your daughter."
