Peace Before War

A boy between the age of fifteen to sixteen was sitting near the river Vistula and thinking about some random stuff. Suddenly a mid age man came and stand behind him and tapped his shoulder . The boy turn and gesture with his hand to sit beside him .

"how you are here today " he asked

"I just completed my work in bakery early and while going home I saw you sitting here so I also came here " man said

"Jean can I can ask you something ? " man asked

"sure dad " Jean replied

"next month you will turn 16 and you have to join war soldier aren't you nervous "

Jean just sighed and didn't speak anything and after sometime he said

"leave it dad first answer my question what is the best job for a ant"

"I don't know "

"account-ant hahaha" Jean said

They both start laughing very loudly till they heard a voice calling jean and his father name

"Jean and uncle Von , aunt Vinky is calling both of you " Jean friend Mateo shouted from the back

It was the year 1945 month February and date 1 , next month Jean will turn 16 and have to join war soldier as per Nazi party rule. Jean father didn't wanted to send him to the war as his elder son have already left them for war but he have no choice.

"lets go son ,your mom would be having some work that's why she would be calling us" von said to Jean

They both start walking but Jean stopped in the middle as he saw a beautiful girl with blue eyes and golden brown hair filling water from the river with her mother ,without noticing Jean was continuing looking to that girl . His father notice in the half way that Jean is not with him and found him standing near the bank of river.

"Jean what are you doing there come fast " Von shouted

Jean start running but through the way to home he just keep thinking about that girl

"How beautiful she was , what would be her name were do she live , ahh I want to meet her again but how "Jean thought

Jean and Von came home and found that a man came to their house and said that he will take Jean next month with him on the very next day of his birthday . Listening this Jean father become sad and went to his room .

"Son are you sad that you will leave us next week "Jean mother Vinky asked

"Not really mom , I would be happy that I can do something for my nation "Jean replied

Actually Jean was not happy because he is the last child of his parents his both sister are married and his elder brother is already involved in the war and after him there is no one who can take care of his family .

NEXT DAY

Jean woke up and go to the same place were he saw the girl last evening and his luck worked he found the same girl sewing cloth under the tree .He go near him sat in front of him girl just glance him and again start doing her work .Jean nervously said

"Hi I ...I am Jean what's your name

"kanny " the girl replied

"oo nice name , actually I..I a aa want to ask would you like to be my f..friend "Jean said

'hmmm ok but first you give me white flower then I will think" kanny replied

"but where I will get white flower from ?" Jean asked

"I don't know " Kanny replied

After that Jean quickly run to the garden and start finding the flowers suddenly his eyes fell on his neighbor garden having some white flower he quickly plugged that flower and gave them to kanny

no the twist came will Kenny be friend with Jean or just she wanted flower . Next month what will happen with Jean would he able to leave his parents and will he survive in war ?
