Noah wouldn't be stupid enough to allow his opponents to regain their senses. He immediately dashed at the crowd, his Blood Essence circulating madly around his body as he executed Slithering Dragon and weaved through the participants, taking the weaker ones out with a simple chop while straight out punching the faces of the stronger ones.
Seeing their comrades get knocked down to the ground, the rest of the mass quickly regained their composure and circulated their Essence in an attempt to strike Noah down. Unfortunately, like them, he also had teammates.
A participant rose his hands, summoning multiple metal spears while a distinct Eagle with metal like wings at its side. He made a pushing gesture with his hands, aiming to launch his attack at the moving Noah. But suddenly, he felt a heavy weight crash upon him from above. He could only catch the site of stray blond hair strands swaying around his attacker's forehead.
"I didn't ask for your help." Noah frowned as he looked at the smiling Leonel.
The latter didn't hesitate to twist his body, smashing the butt of his spear on a participant's head. "You're welcome!" The boy already knew that the Noah within battle and the one outside battle were two different people, even though the change was ever so small. So he didn't take his words to heart and moved once more, attacking all in his sight.
The transmigrator knew the boy wouldn't stop even if he asked him to so he ignored him and moved towards his next target. A cold expression flashed across his face as his senses quickly caught onto someone attempting to sneak up on him, the fellow was quite formidable as she had managed to sneak up so close to him. Noah realized that he wouldn't be able to execute his Dragon Guard fast enough and even if he did, it would be incredibly weak and he would still suffer some harm. And worse, he could neither Flicker due to the multiple Essence attributes that flew around in the air.
He resolutely chose to accept the attack and strike with a properly executed move. Fortunately for him, a bolt of lightning struck the girl attempting to attack him from behind, stunning her for a while. Noah could recognize that it was Mona's signature move so he moved quickly, manifesting his Essence around his sword and slicing away at her limbs.
The participants shivered as the girl howled in pain and anger, watching her limbs fall limply at her sides while she fell to the ground. She rose her head while holding back her pain to memorize the face of the bastard that went as far as crippling her. Yet a primal fear engulfed her as the transmigrator's cold silver eyes stared down at her apathetically while he spoke. "I hate it when someone attacks me from my back."
Luckily for her, her body couldn't handle the pain coursing through its nerves so her mind shut down sparing her from the bloodlust emanating from Noah's body. The transmigrator stood above her, silently contemplating if he should actually end her at that moment, but he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned his neck to glance at Leonel's solemn face. A frown appeared on his face as he read the boy's unspoken message. In the end, the delay was enough for the failsafe of the coliseum to teleport the limbless girl away, along with her detached limbs, probably to heal her of her fatal wounds.
"That was quite cruel." A voice caught the attention of the two who had engaged in a round of silent messages.
Noah shifted his attention from Leonel and glanced at the new arrival. He was a boy around his height, standing at 4ft 10' yet the transmigrator could tell that he was only about 13 or 14 years of age. His face featured auburn colored hair, azure colored eyes and a nice V-shaped jawline, at this point it didn't shock Noah as he had assumed pretty much everyone who stepped on the Path of a Battlesoul master had way above average faces. And by the intensity of the aura that the boy was radiating, he stood at the 5th Level of the Intermediate Stage. But the transmigrator's senses told him that the boy could not be underestimated, he felt the boy was someone that could contend with him even if he utilized Embodiment. "What's it to you?"
"Meh, nothing really, I'm just shocked to see someone who would be cruel to hurt a woman with such a pretty face." The teen shrugged, staring down at the location where the teleported girl had lay with an expression of slight remorse. "But I'm more shocked that I would feel threatened by someone in this competition, and it's someone younger than me too."
"And?" Noah's eyes narrowed as he prepared for a fight.
"Nothing." The teen said as he pointed at Noah, his Essence left his core to surround his body in a gaseous state while an expression of excitement appeared on his face. "I, Argos Wilstrom, just wish to test out your strength."
"Likewise." Noah already knew something like this would happen. He quickly whispered the locations of the remaining Perks he could sense and circulated both his Essence and Blood Essence.
"Here goes." Argos smiled excitedly as he readied his fists and released his Battlesoul. Its shape baffled Noah and the other people around. It was a large book but with words circling around it like a ring, written with weird character and its brilliance showed that it reached the Emperor Grade, at a level that matched Noah and Leonel. And while they wondered what element he wielded, the teen showed them his extraordinary abilities. "Speed!" As he spoke, one of the weird characters left the book's ring and fused with his body. And immediately he did, the boy dashed forward with unbelievable speed.
Noah's brows rose in shock as he found that the teen had already reached his side. Luckily, he had prepared in advance and was quick to execute his counter. "Redirection!" His body twisted, with an unimaginable reaction speed, deftly brushing away Argos' fist before launching a punch at the teen's jaw.
But with a reaction speed that rivaled Noah, Argos was able to summon another word from his Battlesoul. "Defense!"
A thud sound spread out and the teen was sent flying a few meters before crashing into a side of the empty audience stand. Yet Noah frowned as he looked down at his bruised hands, he didn't know how but his opponent had managed to block most of the force behind that blow. He didn't sense any sort of elemental release, the force behind his punch just seemed to have met a wall. A very hard wall.
"Hahaha! I knew you wouldn't disappoint." Argos laughed as he walked out of the impact hole his landing had created, he glanced at Noah's perplexed expression and decided to clarify things. "I can see the curiosity in your eyes. Yea, I don't use elements, not yet at least. I'm a Special type Battlesoul master!"
