Luna had half a mind to slap the woman right off to the other world. But she held back. Given what she had caused, the rage seemed only natural. But then again, it wasn't her fault that those maids barged into her room at the wrong time. And certainly, it did not call for such name-calling.
"I'm right here, you know?" She said, pointing a long white finger at her own displeased face.
The women ignored her yet again, continuing their early morning walk through the corridor, dousing the lanterns that resisted the dying call of the dawn as they did. For a part of the day that was supposed to be refreshing, it was quite dull and gloomy.
The mood was reflected in every sleepy face that passed them by, most of them nodding at Martha in sympathy and hastily averting their vision from her. The goddess sighed, knowing that there was no escape from the judgement.
