Chapter 49 : The perfect pair
As the pair of God and man struggled to overcome the other, the images continued to flash across Emory's mind. The rate at which the Images appeared soon sped up, zooming through his mind with incredible speed until it suddenly stopped.
"Where...is this?" Emory puzzledly scanned the white space he now found himself in, the background of the space seemed distant as if it was present yet not at the same time.
Emory squinted his eyes, trying to focus on the strange surrounding he found himself in but the harder he tried, the further everything seemed. Although the space and everything in it seemed to escape his perception, there was an exception.
Two figures who looked exactly like Zalos' in his original state with the exception of the halo, and the number of wings which were missing two pairs when compared to Zalos stood side by side.
"This is…a memory?"
