Dekker and I left towards our home, but it was too late, the Grezel authority have set the guards of the dark prince and his followers out to find him.

I looked at the sky, It became dark and scary. The scream of some creatures can be heard. The scream was loud enough to make anyone shiver under. And from that dark corner, something scarier came out there, along with the thunderstorms. I could see a pair of red eyes, howling all over.

I asked in fear Dekker- " What is that?"

Dekker looked up and his face turned pale. He gulped as he stood frozen at his spot. He began to sweat as he clear his throat.

I asked him once more-" Dekker? Will you tell me what is going on?"

Dekker said in a panic voice-" W-we should leave"

I asked -" Why? What do you look so pale? What is that thing?"

Dekker lowered his tone and replied-" Gambler of Ghosts. The dark Prince and his men. He is a terror who feeds on the souls mercilessly."

I asked-" What is that?"

He replied-" In the prison of Grezel, the witches and Warlocks that have been locked up so far are dangerous, hence this area is protected by the bodies, who are neither living beings nor the dead. They have the power to control the magic in us, protecting this Grezel from escaping anyone outside"

I asked while with a little frown-" So, due to the escape of Ben Dunnie, are they here?"

He replied-" Yes princess". He looked at me as I saw how scared he was already. I thought it's not good to stay here anymore. I will come again later. But I guess I was late!!! The creatures had surrounded us already as they started to scream louder. I panicked a little as I came closer towards Dekker. He was holding his wand ready to attack.

I said -" We should head home now"

He said looking at me-" It's a too late princess. Just close your eyes princess". He stood before me while guarding me against them. He was closing his eyes shut.

I asked -" What do you mean?"

Just then, I look up and I saw the red eyes in front of me, In the darkness of the night, I could just see the giant eyes coming towards me. I panicked and fell to the ground. I saw shadow hands are coming towards me and I started crawling backward.

Then I could hear a voice in a low whisper howled near me-" I can smell him in you"

Dekker shouted from where he was standing-" Run, Princess, run"

I started running towards the woods as fast as I can. I didn't dare to look back as I ran faster. After reaching some distance, I looked back and saw Dekker was trying to stop them, as he was fighting with his wand. But it was all in vain. Our powers were not working here, and they easily got Dekker by his throat. His legs were struggling to reach the ground and they were choking him. They took him near and they sniffed him. the creature growled as, after a few seconds, they threw him away to the ground. They started howling again. The night looked like absolute terror as I was shivering in fear.

I was so scared that I ran forward to find the gate. So I could call for help, but while searching for the gate I lost in the woods. I was walking for a long time as I felt a little dizzy.

The moment got back my consciousness, I realized that I was lost, I tried to look for the way back by looking here and there. I was tired and lost. It was too dark to see anything. I started crying as I thought how stupid I was again. But I cannot just stand there I have to find the way back!!!

I started walking again. While I was walking through the woods, I bumped into a man and we both fell off. I said in a little annoyance-" AHHH" I looked at him to get a better look but It was dark so I couldn't see him clearly, I got up on my feet and gave him my hands to help. I sighed in relief as I have found somebody in that dark forest. But as soon as he grabbed my hands, suddenly he threw me back to the ground. I looked at him in confusion when I noticed he took out a knife from his pocket and jumped towards me. I was quick to roll over to the other side and somehow I escape.

I was out of my breath and I asked him -" Wait, Who are you? Why do you want to kill me?"

He replied to me in a deep voice-" You are the bloodline of Macduff?"

I was shocked and replied somehow-" Yes, I am Parshawna Macduff"

The next moment he grabbed my hands and twisted them, I screamed in the pain and he tried to stab me once again. Just then, I saw the Golden wand appear in front of me. It came when I needed it. I grabbed the wand without any second thought and cast the spell to freeze him - 'Gledia'

I thought the powers did not work here but I could do a magic spell here with my golden wand.

He was frozen at his place for a few minutes only allowing him to talk.

I stood up and look at him, and I recognize it, I said-" It was you. Ben Dunniee."

He smirked and replied-" Indeed it was me."

I asked-" You called me here, and you want to kill me? I came here to help you"

He tried to get out of the spell but all his effort was useless, he couldn't move an inch.

I asked him once again after I became sure he has no escape-" Answer me"

He smirked and replied-" What do you expect from a prisoner? I would invite you over for a welcome party? Your father had killed my family, He put me into this jail. I want revenge... By killing you"

I looked at him with a puzzle, and then undo the spell - 'Gelatum'. He looked at m with puzzled eyes as I said-" Wait, I have something for you"

I took out a letter and handed it over to him. He looked at me with a glare and snatched the letter.

I said-" It was not my father who killed your family. And I know it was not you who helped the 'venom' to win that battle. I know you did not commit any crime.". He squinted his eyes as he suspiciously looked at me before grabbing the letter from my hand. He opened it as he started reading it.

He read that letter and the tears rolled out from his eyes, He asked-" How do you know all this and where did you get this letter from?"

I said-" After I received your letter, I tried to search for you, but it was nothing written about you anywhere. So after that, I went to our Library and searched for the forbidden history sculptures for you and I got this letter on one of the shelves. I don't know who this letter is from, but I know you were innocent and this was all a mistake. I came here to help you and in return asking you to help me."

He clutched the letter to his chest and cried over while kneeling. I went over him and tried to console him.

I said-" I believe you know about the famous Golden wand? "

He looked and me and nodded with his red puffy eyes. I said-" This time it chose me"

He looked surprised as he frowned and asked-" what?", raising his eyebrows.

I said-" Yes, and since I found this wand everything around me seemed very confusing. I saw my mom in my dreams two days ago, and she mentioned you. She asked me to find you."

His eyes turned soft as he asked-" Gracious? How is she?"

I replied after a pause with tears in my eyes-" Dead"

He looked at me with shock and asked-" What?"

I replied-" Yes, She died last year. After that, I found out I am a witch and I found this wand since then everything has changed. And I believe you can help me. The dream which I saw was a little weird, She told me the name ' Lady Georgia' I don't know who that was and then she asks me to meet you. And then I received your letter"

He was shocked to hear what I have told him. He asked-" This is all you saw in your dream?"

I nodded. He said-" Well, I got the news that Macduff's bloodline heir has arrived, I asked you to meet me so that I could take revenge on you."

I stepped backward in fear. He then looked at me with a small smile and said-" Don't worry I will not kill you yet,"

I asked while looking at him-" Mom told me something like ' She is back' Do you know anything about this? Can you help me with this?"

He asked-" Why would I help you?"

I pleaded to him-" Please, Uncle, I don't know but I feel a connection of a family with you, My instinct is asking me to believe in you."

He Turned away and said-" Well, If this letter is true, and whatever you told me is true, Then, I need to find a few answers first. I need to escape from this place."

I looked at him with a blank face.

He smirked and replied-" Don't worry you have my words I will come back soon dear"

I agreed to help him to escape. Just then, I heard the howls of those creatures as they screamed. The sound all over from around. They are nearby!!! He said-" Quickly"

I cast the spell to open a portal-"Aperire-Portal"

He looked at me with a small smile as he nod and went inside and vanished. The portal closed and just then the ghosts of gamblers surrounded me, They started screaming all over which made me bleed from my nose and ears, I kneeled downed to the ground and covered my ears. But the sound kept making me dizzy. My eyes were heavy as they started closing down. I have no power in my body as I fell. Suddenly I could see a light appear in the dark, I saw a figure somewhat familiar. I blinked twice to see the clear image and it was no other than my Grandmother. I saw my father and Dekker behind her. I wanted to call them but I fell off unconscious.
