He died protecting Kyrielle from Aamon, the Arch Devil of Inferno, and his death left a major scar on Kyrielle. However, Kyrielle was able to move on months after the event with the help of Lynn as emotional support.

With long red hair and hazel eyes, she is a well proportioned woman. She is a serious and caring mother, and also a very empathetic person. She has a strong sense of faith in the Twelve Gods, and worships the religion faithfully.

Since her family fell apart, she started adventuring again in hopes of finding her daughters. Although she used to be depressed, talking and interacting with her teammates has given her encouragement and liven up her mood a lot.

Reuniting with Kyrielle has given her a sense of hope and accomplishment as her journeying is not pointless.... This results in her being determined to find the second daughter as well.

Description :

A little girl with long red hair and hazel eyes. She has a nice round face and features similar to her mother. An other worlder from earth reincarnated into this world, classmate of Kyrielle's former life. She is knowledgeable about the history of earth, and often discusses it with her sister by comparing it with this world's history.

Hopeless with magic, because she lacks even the basic magic control. While not known to Kyrielle, she has a talent with Martial Arts and has surprisingly strong physical feats for her age.

She was caught in the teleportation accident, and the location of her is now unknown... It is very likely that she is no longer alive, as she was very young and lacked capabilities to defend herself from monsters unlike her sister.

Description :

He has a strong sense of justice, and is often very serious. He used to be a bully during his first and second year, but after he lost at a duel against Kyrielle he changed his attitude.

Joining the Student Council alongside Kyrielle, they worked together very often and has unknowingly developed feelings for each other. But will their feelings ever get a chance to develop even further than that?...

[Kyrielle's POV]

(The next day)

We travelled two hours out of the city together with my mother and her adventurer party.

I rode on a horse... But I don't know how to ride one, so I rode with mom instead.

"....Kyrie, did you walked by foot a lot back in the demon continent?"

"Yes... Although later Lynn and I got a mount, it died during the attack on Creimland."

"I see... I don't like to keep pets since I get a bit personally attached to them. It hurts when they die you know?"

"True... I still miss Lizzie's 'Ogrr!' sounding noises. After all, she's very cute for a big fat lizard."

"A fat lizard?"

"Yes... She's about 3 meters long and 1 meter tall, and she's quite fat! As a Geen Lizard, she's only found on the Bostnia Continent so you've probably never seen one before."

"I see...." She says as she patted the horse's neck.

"So, Kyrielle was it? How does it feel to catch up with your mother after so long?" One of the guy in the party talked to me. His name is Gareth.

He is a warrior who wields a very long and heavy greatsword about 1.5 meters long. He himself is about 175cm tall, has brown colored hair and black eyes. Very muscular....

"....It was a bit awkward at first, but I enjoyed it."

"Eh, like mother like daughter huh?"

"Huh?" (2x)

"You two said the same thing after all."

"I'll take that as a compliment." (2x)

"You are even syncing voices! But still, you two do share the similarities no doubt. That hair and that face... While your blue eyes are cuter, you seem much smaller than your mom."

This guy is getting on my nerves....

"I'm still 12, my chest is growing!"

"Oh I'm not talking about your chest, even though you are also a bit flat on that side."

"Kill yourself."

"Gareth..."

"Hahaha, what a foul mouthed little girl!"

"Gareth, stop teasing Katherine's daughter already... First impression is important you know?" Another voice sounded.

From behind is another horse rode by a woman with long black hair wearing a robe. She's called Jenny, a normal looking girl who's a mage.

"Don't mind his words, Kyrielle! This guy talks out of his butt and doesn't filter his words when he does."

"O-oh...." And although she talks very gently, her words can be rather ruthless sometimes as well.

"I sometimes asks myself how we could stay as friends for so long.... By the way, what do you think of this girl Gazeth?"

Gazeth is a silent man who rarely talks at all... He is Gareth's younger brother, and I don't know much about him other than that he's a ranger specialized in archery and reconnaissance.

"If I don't know much about her, I don't judge."

"Oh come on, you've gotta have one or two things to say about her right, given how observant you usually are!"

"....She seems dangerous."

"Huh?" (2x) Jenny and Gareth sounds surprised.

"Why's that?"

"I don't know.... Are you strong, little girl?"

Hmm... Should I tell them?...

"Maybe."

"She can cast magic at the age of 3. She made it back here all the way from the demon continent. She was the apprentice of the Magic Pioneer Lynn. She is very strong, as she is my daughter."

"M-mom, don't tell them so much!" You don't have to praise me that much!

"That actually sounds really impressive.... You are 12 but you travelled for so long by yourself? That is insane."

"Hahaha... Thanks...."

Should I tell them that I'm actually a Low Saint Ranked fighter at least?... No, let's stay humble, I don't like to brag after all.

(Half an hour later....)

Riding together, we all rode into one of the mountains near the city.... The mountains do have a forest, but somehow it doesn't spread to the plains below. This creates a beautiful contrast between the mountains and the flat lands.

"We have arrived." Walking on the highway, we soon reached a cave opening by the roadside where our quest points to...

"So this is the place with that ghost..."

"....Everyone, let's gather your equipment and make a temporary camp."

"Yes!" (3x)

Mom commanded the team like a leader.... She is the leader of this party after all.

Taking my sword from the horse's saddle, I strapped it to my waist again. In case I need it, I wrapped the fire-proof scarf that I have around my neck, and removed my travel coat.

"Okay... Is everyone organized? Your equipment, your armours... and most importantlt your lanterns?"

I took out the magic lantern from my luggage....

"Yes!" (4x)

"....Kyrie, you uses fire magic when fighting right?"

"Yes."

"....Jenny you too should listen, try not to use any fire spells in an enclosed space. You'll get get dizzy somehow."

She must be talking about carbon monoxide poisoning.... You only learn that in chemistry classes.

"Got it." (2x)

"Well then, shall we move in now?"

"Yes." (4x)

"Then let's go!"

We finally stepped foot into the cave....

While we were riding here, we discussed our team formation.

Mom is at the very far back of the team, with Jenny in close second.

Gazeth the ranger is in the middle, he provides backup with arrows and protect Jenny and Mom.

Me and Gareth is in the front. As I now uses a sword and is also capable of chantless casting.... This is why I volunteered to be at the front line.

"Little girl, I know you uses a sword as well but are you sure you don't want to stay in the back line?"

"Nope."

"You've got guts, I'll give you that."

Gareth puts his great sword by the entrance of the cave and pulled out a short one handed sword instead.

"....You don't want to use your great sword?"

"Don't be silly, there's no way I can use that one in a cave!"

"Focus on moving forward, you two!" Mom yelled out from the back.

We stepped foot into the cave. With each step we take, loud foot steps echoed throughout the cave....

Lime stones formed on the roof of this tight cave. The ceiling is only about 3 meters tall, and the width of the cave is only 2 meters wide, just enough for two people to fit at a time.

Although it was beautiful, the cave is also eeriely quiet... I got a bit restless as I entered the cave.

After walking for about a minute... We reached a part of the cave where the roof is only about 1 meters tall. We have to crawl down to get through this part.

"....I'll go in first." Gareth said as he puts his lantern on the ground and crouched down.

"Got it." (4x)

Gareth crawled on inside first.

"....clear."

Hearing him say that, I also crawled down into this hole. Right in the middle of me crawling though....

"Grah!!!" (?x)

"Oh shit, zombies!"

"Kyrie, hurry up!"

"Yes!"

I quickly climbed inside the hole... What I saw was two rotting undeads attacking Gareth in the dimly lit cave.

One of them has a sword stuck in the shoulder, slashed at by Gareth. The other one bitten on his arm instead, making him unable to pull his sword put to defend himself.

"Kill this thing for me!" Gareth grabbed the unharmed undead by its neck and then flung it at me.

'Thud!' It dropped to the ground in front of me, I pulled out my katana and jammed my sword through it's chest.

'Stab!'

"Grah!" It's still alive? How annoying!

"Hold still, Kyrie! May the Lords purify the the stagnant, Banish!"

'Fwuom!' Mom fired some sort of purple colored flame thrower spell at my back...

"Are you trying to kill me?!"

"It won't hurt you, just keep the zombie in place!"

"Grah!!!... Grah...." The zombie impaled to the floor was burned by mom's spell and turned into ashes all while I remained unharmed. The purple cleansing flame feels slightly warm, but it doesn't burn at all.

"Gareth?" Mom immediately turned towards the man....

"I'm good, just finished up here." He said as he pulled out his sword that was stuck on the second zombie's head. It stopped moving.

"Phew.... I've never dealt with zombies before.... What was that flame just now?"

"It was a miracle that uses Divine Flames, a type of fire that doesn't burn living creatures but are extremely potent against undeads."

"Oh.... So that was what it was huh?"

"Against ghost enemies, it is the only spell that could hurt them. But against normal undeads, you can still kill them if you aim for their head, you should do that the next time instead."

"Understood."

"Are you alright Gareth? Were you hurt?"

"No, thanks for your concern but I wore gauntlets. It broke it's teeth trying to bite my arm off."

"I see."

As the two of them talked, Gazeth and Jenny crawled into the cave from the other side.... My eyes caught glimpse of the dead zombie that Gareth killed.

Their face is rotten off, one of their eyeballs hanged out of their eye socket, and the wound in the head leals out rotten brain juice.

"Urgh, how disgusting!"

If it was the me from back on earth I may have puked already, I've gotten used to killing and seeing dead things in this world so it didn't faze me that much. But even so, it's still extremely disgusting.

I took a cloth from my pocket and wiped my sword with it... then I sheathed it back to it's saya, making a satisfying 'Chink' sound.

".....May the Lords purify the the stagnant, Banish." Mom chanted for a miracle, and fired out purple flames again, burning the corpse into ashes.

After talking to me, she crouched and knelt down near the body of the undead. With her hands held together, she prayed for a little bit.

She's reciting prayers for the dead here huh? I've never actually seen her as a priestess before, I am kind of surprised.

".....That should do. Everyone, let's move out."

"Wait, I want to try something. Mom, can you cast that miracle of yours again?"

"Hmm? Unlike you I don't have a lot of Mana to spare, what do you want to test?"

"Don't worry, it'll be worth it, trust me."

"?" (4x)

"If you say so.... May the Lords purify the the stagnant, Banish." She fired her miracle out again, putting purple flames forward that completely engulfed me.

"Mana Ball."

I casted a Mana Ball and sucked up all of the warm and soothing purple flames using it, creating a Divine Flame version of Forbidden Sun.

"You can do that?"

"This is amazing... chantless wind spell that fuses with miracles?" While everyone was impressed by me, Jenny seemed especially amazed because she knows more about magic.

"This is how you do Fused Magic, Jenny... But more importantly, I can do this!"

I closed my eyes and visualized the mana ball forming into a longsword in the shape of my father's sword which was sheathed to mom's waist.

I opened my eyes again, and what is in my hand is a Blaze Edge but with divine flames instead, a killer weapon for fighting ghost-type and undead enemies. I will name it Ghost Edge.

And right was mom was about to praise me.... "That is very impressive, Kyrie-"

"This... is.... awesome!!!" Jenny yelled out very loudly....

"Ahaha... I learned to do this a while back, and normally I do it with fire magic. I figured that divine flames are fire as well, so all of my spells can become useable against apparitions when provided with divine flames. With this, undeads and ghost shouldn't pose any trouble to me anymore-"

"Come on Miss Professor, less talking and more working. We should head deeper and kill that headless."

Did.... did mom just used sarcasm on me? I've never seen her like that!

"Yes." (4x)

With my new Ghost Edge still in hand, we continued heading deeper into the cave..... Following the small cave tunnel we soon arrived in a dark, open space where we couldn't see anything at all.

"...Lets head in, this seems to be the place." Said Gareth.

As Gareth led the team into the open space I followed closely behind him...

'Thud!'

"?!" (4x) Suddenly, a loud sound was heard from behind.... We were all surprised by it and looked backwards where we saw Jenny sitting on the floor....

"Sorry, my foot slipped...."

Gareth breathed a sigh of relief.

"Phew... You had me scared for a second-"

"Oh shit, behind you!" Yelled Jenny.

"?!" (4x)

Immediately as we all turned forward again, what we saw was a 2 meter tall humanoid holding a great sword....

A dark fog surrounds it, that was why we couldn't see anything inside just now... But now I can see it way clearer than before, and I almost screamed upon seeing this thing.

It is a human... without a head.

".....Errr!!!" The monster made an extremely loud shriek, making my head dizzy with the extremely ear-piercing scream.

"Urgh!..." (5x)

"Pain.... Kill!!!" Was what the monster said before raising it's giant sword overhead.

"Get away!" Yelled out Gazeth, who normally doesn't speak at all.

In response, both me and Gareth jumped backwards before the Headless slams it's greatsword down.

'Tank!!!' It hits the spot where we were just standing on.

"Ghost Edge, go!" I said as I threw the blade spinning towards it like a buzz saw.

'Slash!' The blade slices it's stomach before flying back towards me where I caught it with my hand. The open wound on it's stomach is shallow, that cut didn't do much damage.

"Errr!!! Name.... Dredrick!!!" The monster yelled out as it charged forward tumbling towards us with it's great sword raised.

All of us side stepped away except Gareth....

He clashed blades with the headless.

'Clank!'

"I couldn't care less about your name! Katherine!"

"May the Lords purify the stagnant...."

'Tink! Tank!' He clashed blades with the headless a few more times before his one handed sword, until he knocked the headless's greatsword to the side and slashed at it's arm.

'Chink!' His blade was stopped dead in it's track... he couldn't pierce the skin of the headless.

"What in the-?!"

"Errr!!!"

'The headless swung it's greatsword at Gareth again...

Gareth tries to block the attack but his sword shattered upon impact. This is bad, he can't defend himself!

In response I rushed into between the two of them....

'Tank!!!'

"Urgh!...." I raised Ghost Edge above head with both hands, and blocked the swing of the headless. The heavy attack cuts my shoulder shallowly and made my foot slip, kneeling on the ground.

"Err!!!" The headless raised it's greatsword up ready to swing at me again...

Shit, I can't dodge in time!

"Kyrie! / Kyrielle!" (3x)

"Within the very lands lies an impenetrable wall, Earth wall!"

'Thump!' Jenny raised a wall right as the greatsword slammed down at me and blocked the hit. Gareth pulled me by the collar and jumped away with me in hand.

"...Banish!"

'Fwuom!' Mom fired a gush of warm purple flames towards the monster, burning it.

"Err!!!" The headless was stunned by the attack and seems to falter in pain... this is my chance to attack!

"Yah!" I rushed forward with my Ghost Edge pointing forward and jabbed it into the monster's stomach... I let go of my sword as the headless shrieked in pain.

"Errr!!!"

It screamed as it pulls out the Ghost Edge stuck to it's stomach, the skin on it's body appears charred and burned. It's taking damage!

"Our attacks are working!"

"Nice work ladies, but it's not over yet!"

"Err!!! Pain.... Kill!!!"

The headless rushed forward us again with it's sword raised.

"Earth grant me a lance that shall pierces all, Earth Spear!"

'Clank!!!'

The earth spear slammed onto the hand of the monster as it swings down, my spell parried his greatsword back as both me and Gareth jumped even further away.

"I've got it!" Yelled Gazeth as he jumps onto the back of the headless and stabs his short sword into the open neck of the headless.

"Errr!!!" Even though it's near immune to physical attacks, it's weakness is the open wound on it's neck. It felt pain and reached it's hand to grab Gazeth, but he jumped away immediately.

"This thing is tough! We need to hit it harder!" Mom said out....

Hit it harder you said?... You should've just said so earlier!

"I have a plan but I need someone to distract it. Gareth, catch!"

I took out my katana from the waist and threw it to Gareth.

'Grab!'

"Very well!"

"Mom, cast your magic again and make it as strong as possible, I'll do a Fused Magic!"

"Got it! May the Lords purify-"

"Errr!!!" The headless charged forward at us again...

"I won't let you!"

'Clank!' Gareth clashed swords with the headless again...

I disabled my Ghost Edge to free up my casting slots. I put both of my hand in front, and started to cast four Mana balls....

"-the stagnant, Banish!"

"Mana Ball..." I charged up the giant Mana Ball to suck up as much divine flames from mom's spell.

'Clank!' My katana shatters as Gareth clashes blades with the headless one last time and then jumped away to safety.

Stay calm.... if I stay calm I can use my imagination properly....

I closed my eyes and visioned the giant Mana Ball turning into an extremely large sword... A Ghost Edge the size of a car....

"Errr!!!" The headless shrieked loudly again as it rushes forward at me.

"Hurry it up girl!"

I opened my eyes once again... The headless is right in front of me and ready to swing down at me. But...

"....Checkmate." 'Bang!'

'Stab!' 'Thump!!!'

I fired the car sized Ghost Edge towards the Headless, stabbing into it's body while pushing it backwards. It then slams into the wall of the cave behind with enough power to shake the very floor itself.

"Errr!!!... Errr!..."

"And then... detonate!"

'Boom!!!' A large area of explosion happened with purple flames.... I deliberately controlled the explosion to cover a huge area but is weak in power in order to burn the headless without damaging ourselves.

"Urgh!" (4x)

The entire room was covered in the purple flames... And after a few seconds the flames all faded away. What was left in the place of the headless was a thick pile of ashes and a greatsword on the floor....

"Hah... Finally..."

Exhaustion finally kicks in when I saw the headless was dead... My leg loses strength and drops to the ground.

'Thud!...'

Mom hurries over in worry. "Kyrie! Are you fine?!"

"Hah...I'm good.... I was just a bit terrified... that's all."

Seeing that I'm fine, mom also sat down next to me. All of us were so fatigued that we all sat down.

"Phew!..." (4x)

"....I almost peed myself...." Almost... luckily I still had bladder control.

"Yeah... Me too...." Jenny called out, despite her not being involved in the fight much.

"...Make it three..."

"....Four..." Both the guys admitted it as well.

"That was an exceptionally strong Headless.... The usual ones aren't as tough as that."

"It did said it's name was... what was it again?"

"Dredrick... It's name was Dredrick."

"Dredrick.... What a familiar name, I think I've heard it somewhere before." Jenny said out.

"Let's ask someone when we get back... this monster might actually be a hero in the past." Said Gazeth.

"A hero? Seriously?"

"It's just a feeling..."

"Kyrie, I saw that you were slashed on the shoulder just now, are you fine? Do you need healing?"

"Oh, this?"

I looked at my right arm... And the wound had almost healed up already.

"....Dragonic Burst."

I activated my dragonic burst... My eyes turned golden with the iris of a serpent, a red aura covered my body, and small sparks of electricity starts generating from my body.... I could feel my heartbeat increasing, and my muscles getting way more powerful.

"Hey hey what is that?!" Gareth was extremely surprised by it.

"This? This is Dragonic Burst- wait, I'm not supposed to tell you all this!"

"Kyrie, your arm! It's healing on it's own!" Mom was surprised as well.

"My healing factor closed the wound by itself.... You outsiders are not supposed to know this at all."

"Kyrielle... what was that?" Jenny asked out in confusion. As a mage, she has likely never seen anything like this before even in school.

"It was just enhancement magic like Mana Burst, simple as that...."

I deactivated my Dragonic Burst, and my body returned to normal....

"....Are you sure?"

"Of course I am! It's nothing for you all to worry about."

"Oh...." (4x)

Ahaha.... how awkward....

"Umm... that's right my sword, Gareth! Where is my sword?"

"Oh umm... Your sword...."

"Where is it?"

"It shattered.... when I tried to deflect the headless's attack."

"Seriously?.... It was a gift from an acquaintance and you just break it like that?... It's fine, where are pieces?"

"Here..." Gareth handed me two halves of my katana... the blade is divided in the area right in front of the handle. The tsuba (guard) of the sword is no where to be found, and the wooden handle has split into multiple splinters as well, revealing the tang inside.

"This... I think this can be fixed but I'll have to find a specialist."

"Sorry, I'll pay for it."

"Don't worry about it, I did threw it onto you after all."

"I see..."

"Hey, since you two are talking about swords anyway-"

Jenny stood up and picked up a hunk of metal on the ground... She struggles to lift it up with her slim arms.

"-Urgh this thing is so heavy, how did that thing swing it around with so little effort?!... Why don't we sell this thing?"

"That monster's greatsword?"

"Yes. I think it might be a magical sword!"

"We could bring it to a weapon smith to see if it is anything special, but do be careful as it might be a cursed item.... For now, if we have no business here anymore let's head out everyone." Mom said out.

"Yes... I'm sick of this stupid cave already."

We took the greatsword and searched in the open area inside the cave.... we found nothing of value. After that, we decided to head out of the cave and back to the city.
