I Didn't Do It

Step Step Step

Karma's footsteps echoed in the endless hallway. "How far is the dining room?" she thought until something disturbed them. Faint sobs from a room. A part of her didn't want to talk to another weirdo but curiosity got the best of her. She looked inside the dark room. There was a small girl in the corner crying, softly whispering.

"I didn't do it. I didn't do it. I didn't kill her. He left me"

"Hello?" Karma called out. Then there was silence. There was sniffling and the little girl got up and headed towards the door.

"Hello!" the little girl called out. She acted fine, completely normal.

Liar

"What are you doing here kid?" Karma asked, feeling slightly nervous.

"Kid?!?" she crossed her arms, "I'm 25"

"HOLY--" Karma covered her mouth and looked around to make sure no doctors were near. "I'm so sorry-"

She still looked ticked off but continue talking, "The name's Amy"

"Karma.."

"How come you're out of your room"

All 6 of them All 6 of them All 6 of them

"I'm uhh..allowed to."

"Ah, alright. You probably leave. The nurse always comes about now"

"Heh...Okay th--"

A sharp pain grew on Karma's back. She wanted to scream in agony. It burned. It's hurting. Someone help. She couldn't hear anything. Then it went everything went black.

tap...tap...tap...

Karma woke up on her bed. "What the hell happened..." The door swung open. "Good Morning XXXXXXXXX," the nurse said in a cheery voice. The nurse looked at Karma and gasped. Karma felt nervous, her heart racing. "Your eye sockets are bleeding..." The nurse said in a terrified voice. Although the doctors helped her see without eyes, there were still eye sockets but they never bleed. It was just a hole with huge scabs. Karma touched her cheek and her fingers were covered in blood. The nurse rushed over to get something. Probably a bucket and some new bandages.

Now's your chance. Don't mess it up like last time

Karma quickly got out of bed. The nurse left the door open.

Room 304 Room 304. 304. 304. 304. 304.

The laughing from the room got louder and she approached the room. Without saying anything they said,

"All 6 of us, correct?"

"Yes"

"Get me out and I'll help you. I'll help us"

Karma reached for the doorknob

drip...drip...drip

Her hands started shaking

Drip...Drip...Drip

Getting a grip on the doorknob. "I don't have a key," she told herself. Just turn it. She turned the knob and the door opened.

"Lady Mist," She said with a sinister smile. She looked much different than others. She is a stranger yet she seemed friendly. Lady Mist put her hand of Karma's cheek and sighed. "Such a waste of blood"

DRIP DRIP DRIP

The alarms went off. Lady Mist pulled Karma into her room to hide from the doctors was they rushed through the hallway. There were flashing lights everywhere. They are coming. Blood Blood Blood

Dripping through the walls, drip drip drip. It's filling up the room, splash splash splash. They're outside your room-

"Hello there!" said a voice. Realizing she was hugging her knees. She looked up. Blood Blood Blood Blood. He was soaking in blood, a holding a knife over his shoulder. He was smiling but obviously not a friendly one. Lady Mist approached him and laughed "Freddy, nice to see you out of that straitjacket".

"They think was fucking horrible, now they're all dead!" he laughed.

"Great now we have to get out"

"W-wait!" Karma stood up

They both looked at her, going silent

"We can't just escape while there's chaos! They're going to find us."

Lady Mist nodded. "You're right. Maybe next time"

"What do you mean next time??"

...

Karma woke up on her bed. The door swung open. "Good Morning XXXXXXXXX," the nurse said in a cheery voice. Karma stayed silent as always. "Is this some kind of fucking joke?" She thought. Once the nurse left she hugged her knees, laying her head on them. "It's never going to end...I have to escape". Getting up, she started heading to Roon 304. Sudden wave dizziness and nausea washed threw Karma. She wanted to grab the wall for support but she fell on her knees, covering her mouth to prevent her from vomiting. "W-what...". Before she said anything else some stood in front of her. "Hello XXXXXXXXX", they said with a smile. Something about them felt wrong. It was a horrible feeling. A feeling that makes you want to run away. Everything about this was wrong. Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

She's met him before.

It burned. It's hurting.

"I see the medicine I gave you is finally working. It took a while, didn't it."

Karma stayed silent

"People like you disgust me. Absolutely disgusting. The thought that they keep people as insane as you in here, alive, is horrible. But it's the only way I can stay hidden"

"How come you're out of your room"

All 6 of them All 6 of them All 6 of them

"I'm uhh..allowed to."

"Ah, alright. You probably leave. The nurse always comes about now"

"Heh...Okay then". She started walking toward the dining room. She peeking into a little opening, catching a glace of what it was like outside the asylum. It was nighttime. Looked roughly around 10 PM. "I must've been distracted," Karma thought to herself realizing she should head back. Her room was down the hall but something felt eerie. She ignored it and closed the door, heading to bed.

"How did she get out?!?"

"I-I don't know Sir, we've been making sure no one leaves"

"It's not safe for anyone in those conditions to be walking around. Transfer the patient to the 'Basement'"
