The Fate Of A Sinner, Turning Fear Into Faith

The Dragon Palace went through many changes, for one, a new system called points was introduced to those living in the guild. with these points, one could buy just about anything they want, from treasures personally created by Hephaestus to food. but the way to get points was through taking up work, and the citizens were all helping to help, it was even more so knowing they would be supporting Igneel.

So, everyone rushed to get a job, from taking up farm work to looking at unique animals like Cow dragons, or other unique farm animals that had the blood of a dragon running them, many jobs were gained in a few days.

everything was expansive, a day's work would give you one point. but to buy the cheapest thing could cost you 1 point. in other words, everyone had to save up. As dragons, the concept of time was different for them. honestly, they could save for years before going off to try and buy something. the fact they could buy rare treasures was one of their motivation, dragons seek treasures, and the fact that if they had enough treasures they could gain the chance to step into their lord's treasury moved so many people.

The fact that the cost of keeping up the citizen lively hope was cut, and their food and other stuff they might want were into the far future, for a time they would only need to pay the guild upkeep cost. adding the offering coming from Levi and his followers, they began making more money than they were using, but it was not good enough, so they began looking towards increasing the range field of work and having more undead get to work, helping bring in more income.

Hephaestus began looking into Igneel gear, wanting to see how the ring could transform Igneel gear set all into world items. imaging if they could copy this and recreate another type of world item.

the Wood Dragon Ring that Arbol had wasn't a rare-world item, but it mimicked the effect of one. Under Arbol's hands, Arbol's life magic did take a step forward past what was the peak, and Arbol was a special type of dragon that had reached the peak of JOb class. the fact she could just take another type forward with her ring was shocking,

Hephaestus's task was simple, Igneel wanted to see if he could create an item that could either 1, speed up the plant growth and quality of the item by a great degree, or two create add the capability of wild magic onto something that already existed. Hephaestus said he could do both, so Igneel was looking forward to it.

then it was the humans... the poor humans. it started with the Uzumaki clan, their clan leader had dreams of an incoming beast attack for days, telling him to head towards Levi. but the guy ignored it, only to end up regretting it when the beast wave appeared.

their poor walls were destroyed, and their people were forced to flee with all their might, while he stayed behind to tell them off. but where could they flee than towards Levi who has been warning them about this, and to come to him before it was too late? so they escaped to Levi, 4/10 of their people clansmen died.

The clan leader managed to live, but his clanmen were not happy about this. he had mocked Levi, and now look what happened? Of course, they were just looking for a place to point their rage, but still, he could have at least done something when he began dreaming of the beast wave attacking their village.

but their clan suffering such an attack caused the other two clans to take Levi's words seriously, even so, what could they do before a wave of thousands of different tribes came to knock at their doors? in the end, after they were all attacked, they fled to Levi without another choice... bring us to now, 3 months later.

"it's clear that the beast-man has some powerful leader. Levi, what does your god say about this?" a man with long red hair asked while looking at Levi, the leader of the Uzumia clan, Ashina. he might believe in Levi's god power, but he still couldn't put his trust in that being.

"Oh please, you truly believe there is some god out there? It heard that it's just a gift he awakened." leader of the Uchiha clan, and Hashirama's former rival, Madara Uchiha.

"A fool ignores the eyes of hundreds." The leader of the Hygua clan, Hiashi Hygua said calmly, causing Madara's eyes to turn sharp as he looked at him. behind each of these clan leaders was their most trusted right-hand man.

everyone in this world had a level of 23 to 29, all but Levi who only had a level of 13, he was growing at a fast rate, but it would take some time for him to catch up with these monsters.

"I was given a ring, which works on faith. he said there was a dragon amongst the beast controlling them. this dragon is young and if all 4 of us are to work together, we can defeat it." Levi said calmly, causing everyone to frown while looking at the ring.

"work on faith?" Hisashi Hygua asked, to which Levi nodded slightly.

"I can offer a prayer to god and ask god to do one of 5 things. one is to call upon the light of purified. once this is cast, the Demi-human would all be free of mind control. it would be up to us to befriend as they are the victims, or lead to us fighting them even when they are free from any mind control." Levi said while looking at everyone who was a frown

"I along with a few others would pray, the more believers pray, the more power we could call upon. he said it's enough to kill even the strongest dragon, but the requirement is faith and a pure heart." Levi said while standing up

"they would come tomorrow. For the longest, I have been telling you all what's to happen. many times you ignored my words, all I ask now is for a little faith." Levi said with a slight bow,

"... you have my Hygua clan support," Hisashi said calmly, to which Ashina nodded as well, although with an unsure look while looking at the ring. Madara? Well, he sneered while standing up, and pulling out his flaming sword

"Enough with the talking, I want to challenge you to a fight. if your god is so great, I'm sure he would not allow you to lose in a battle to the death right?" Madara said while Levi sighed softly,

"I understand you had a bond with lord Hashirama... but he is with his brothers, you're trying to die and go join your brothers as well. he told me about you, but you should know one thing, god doesn't like to be tested," Levi said with a salum look, Madara was stunned for a moment,

"In Hashirama's case, his heart was as dark as yours. if you were to die, the underworld is what awaits. so please don't do this." Levi said and seeing the confused look on a few people he spoke

"rewards and punishment. if you did good or tried your best to do good, even if you failed but your heart was in the right place. heaven awaits. but if you do wrong, the opposite awaits. their sins would torture you, before they are ripped apart, leaving a soul thats completely new to be reborn. It's painful, the pain alone enough to break the minds of the strongest of dragons which end up there after death. I saw it... so please, don't." Levi said with a shake of his head,

"... oh please, am I supposed to be scared?" Madara was a bit creeped out, but to save face he wasn't going to just take a step back. his pride wouldn't allow that. but when Levi took out a paper and just gave it to him, Madara went through it and froze

"I already saw this would happen, i already know you would not step out of your duel, but your death would lead to a lot of trouble amongst your clansman. so let's at least wait until the demi-human, he said us 4 were needed." Levi said with a helpless look, Madara froze seeing how the paper spoke on how he could try and challenge Levi, and just how everything went down.

"... oh, you think this would care me? let's go, outside and fight." Madara said with a sneer while using his sword to burn the paper. Levi was speechless, he looked towards Madara's right hand, his elder brother who just sneered at Levi.

"Then let's go... I hope you survive," Levi said while leaving the guild and going outside the village, everyone quickly gathered hearing what was happening,

"... Madara, you're not my equal. you're far above me, that is if I didn't have my God's support. One move is all I need to kill you." Levi said, to which Madara sneered, he had seen the Strom Dragon before, all he had to do was get near and it was game over.

"Call upon your god, I would even point my blade at him." Madara mocked, to which the Uchiha clan sheered, now this was their clan leader. even willing to stand up to god himself,

"One move... I will summon forth one of my god's loyal angels' power. I never used this attack before, so be careful." Levi said while pointing his sword to the sky. Madara instantly flashed forward but instantly stopped when a flaming tornado swallowed Levi.

"Uriel!" Levi said as the flames to the form of an angel holding a flaming sword. the heat wave that Angel gave off was like no other, forcing Madara to back away, luckily, Levi was weak or else this whole land for hundreds of meters would have been burned into nothingness.

even so, those watching felt the heat wave, causing them to squint slightly. they were already amazed by the power shown, they couldn't even imagine what Madara, who was so close to the flame angel was feeling.

Madara's pupils shrank in horror, he watched as the angel held out its sword, all of the heat gathering to the sword, before it brought it down, cutting towards Madara... but it missed. the space next to Madara existed and turned, the sword slash passing right by. Madara quickly stepped away, the heat wave from that space slowly spilling out and nearly burning him.

"W-what was that?" Madara said with a horrified look, before that attack, he had felt small, he would have been ashes if that attack were to have hit.

"Uriel, one of my lord's angels. the angels of flame. is this good enough?" Levi asked Madara, looked at Levi for a moment, before gritting his teeth.

"I was told you can only use one of those powers, once per day. is that true?" Madara asked, causing Levi's eyes to widen. just who told him? seeing his, Madara's face twisted before he shot toward Levi.

Levi wasted no time, and shot backward, and through gritted teeth he swung his sword, using a reality slash. the slash shot forward towards Madara, causing Madara instantly to scream. without a thought, he moved to the side, but his arm fell to the ground, with his blood spraying out.

"Just why do you hope to gain from fighting? can't you see I missed that first attack on purpose? can't you see I avoid killing you on purpose? I'm trying to work with you here, but your foolish pride... where is your pride when the only reason you are alive now is because I opened my door for your clan?" Levi exploded in annoyance and frustration, unable to get what was wrong with Madara's head.

"..." Everyone hearing his outburst was quiet, they looked towards Madara who had a downcast look for some time after using the flames from his sword to seal the wound from his missing arm.

"Pride? fuck that... I just reject your god. I reject the very concept of a god, this is not a battle of my pride or whatever... it is a battle of my belief." Madara said softly, causing the air to go quiet,

"for a long time, I prayed, if there was some greater being out there, who could end this pointless fighting. I buried so many of my siblings and came to accept that there was no greater bring out there other than the dragons. but even they have done more than your god," Madara said while looking at the sword.

"This is foolish," Levi said in a soft voice, causing Madara to frown slightly.

"You're a fool... what have you done to spread peace? other than crying and hoping someone would come and do something, what have you done?" He asked, causing Madara to quiet

"all you have done is create more war. you knew Hashirama planned to bring an end to this war between the 4 clans, but all you did was oppose him. you speak now about what? Have the dragons done more than god? what they did was give you a weapon to spread more death, cause more people to cry seeking someone to step down and end this war, while rejecting the one who tried to do something about it." Levi said angrily, causing Madara to freeze where he stood.

"Now, god step forward to do something. what do you do again? stand in their way, and you try to make it so someone pity you? you're a part of the problem." Levi roared, leaving Madara unable to say a thing for a moment before he burst out laughing.

he shot towards Levi, who simply pointed his sword at him. lightning flashed on the sword before lightning was shot towards Madara. Madara acted quickly and easily dodged, but the Lightning followed him, piercing through his chest.

Madara coughed up a mouth full of blood, he felt how his inside was cocked by the lightning, but he didn't care. he glared at Levi and continued to walk towards him, aiming to kill him, before he froze. everyone watched on the ground, a portal that showed the underworld, the river made out of flames, and the cries of women, males, and children. it was a place of nightmares that sent chills down everyone's spine.

Hands came out of the ground, reaching to pull Madara into hell. Madara quickly moved his sword to swing, but he was in the blink of death, how could he swing all of the hands off? In the end, he gave up trying to escape and looked towards Levi.

"I will reject it, peace? there is no such thing, Fuck your god. War Is Life" Madara laughed with a made look, but that look disappeared, replaced with a look of pain. As more of his body was pulled into hell, he began screaming in pain

"No! I was wrong, please, Kill me! My sins, they burned." the screams that came from the deepest part of his soul sounded, and everyone was horrified at the scene. the tears running down Madara's face, the look of pure pain and suffering,

"Mercy. Brother, help! I will never do it again. I will change." Madara who should have been too weak to do anything gained the strength and tried to crawl towards his bother, but he was quickly dragged into hell. everyone looked at this, and towards Levi who was crying

"I warned you... the pain of your sins being burned away is like nothing. That was just a few seconds, but you would be there for years to burn away every last sin." Levi said while looking at the lifeless body, it was then everyone realized what was pulled away was Madara's soul, not his body... but they didn't care, they were traumatized.

that night, no one slept, the fear of what would happen after their death hunting them. for the first time, they pried... and oddly enough, when they did so, they felt a warmth. a warmth swallowing them. many burst into tears, while others pried even harder...
