Chapter 1-“Execution of the long term Dream”

The grand annual league swim event was the highlight of Takeshi Kanos life.

After his first race he ranked all the way to 3rd, And on his second Takeshi went to 1st!

Everyone has a start while everyone has a peak. No peak has ever lasted forever.

Our story begins here-

The finals of the Grand Annual Swim Event:

Takeshi is ready.

"My opponent is strong, in fact he's ranked #2 in this league. He could possibly contest me in this match. If this becomes a rally I may lose."

The whistle blows, and the two men dart forward, his opponent (Jagger Log) taking the lead.

Jagger taps the wall first starting his second lap.

Takeshi taps thewall entering the second lap as well but Jaggers already halfway through the same lap.

Jagger taps, and now 1 lap remains.

Takeshi begins to swim faster than ever before entering the final lap the same time as Jagger.

Both men tap the cold pool wall at the same time, and the crowd goes wild screaming Takeshi's name.

They rally back and forth, Takeshi taking the lead then Jagger, then Takeshi.

Jagger takes the lead once more, he backstrokes with all his might.

Takeshi falls behind, so he begins to use his entire body and all energy remaining for a little boost.

Jagger taps the wall.

Takeshi grunts under pressure.

"If he taps one more time I lose in the finals!"

Takeshi reaches the wall and bounces off, going up and down to steady his momentum.

He has caught up to Jagger.

Backstroke after backstroke Takeshi struggles to lead. And in the final seconds.

His careers over.

Takeshi taps the wall, but starts to sink. He tries to hold himself up with his only his right, nothing works.

The lifeguards whistle blows and he's carried out his shoulder completely red.

"You will never swim again"

Present.

"Todays the day my new dream begins!" Takeshi says excitement flowing through his veins.

After a quick shower Takeshi rushes towards the building of dreams. Gas Speed Co!

This is the 2nd biggest racing company in Mauritius, and now Takeshi has his competition license after a two year wait!

He's anxious as he's been applied for two years awaiting approval.

"Here it is! I haven't been here since I applied but I've longed for it. This might be even better than swimming!"

After he entered the building where he met the main trainer, Vulcan hopper. He's a tall ex-racer who has lightish grey hair.

"Alright kid it's your first day, go get in that red car over there for your first spar against Gooman." The coach says.

"He's your best match to test what you're already capable of."

"Ok sounds good, let's start now!" Takeshi says eagerly.

Gooman gets in his White car eager to get his daily practice in. Gooman is ranked #20 in the nation. And will most likely destroy Takeshi…

Both cars stand side by side, the white glint overtaking the red.

The starter walks out, and raises the flag into the air. Takeshi slams on his breaks.

Gooman accelerates, holding momentum.

The flag is waved and Gooman takes off! Takeshi's car remains still a massive stream of smoke coming out the back.

The smoke fills the track until a loud screech is heard. Takeshi takes off, making it past the first lap with one quick maneuver.

Takeshi approaches Gooman from the back, and attempts an overtake. Gooman swerves to the right cutting him off.

Takeshi slams the breaks and swerves left at maximum acceleration putting the two side by side!

A turn is coming up, Gooman slows slightly preparing for the curve.

While Takeshi speeds up even faster, drifting past the turn, then full throttling once the track straightens.

The second lap is in site!

Takeshi maintains his full throttle and Gooman attempts to catch up, he nears Takeshi then attempts a left overtake.

Takeshi slams on the breaks, and Gooman takes the lead.

Gooman enters the second and final lap. Takeshi begins the burnout motion once more!

"Some might call this a long burnout!"

"I call it overdrive!!!"

Smoke fills the crowd, and Takeshi goes faster than full throttle, all the way past the line entering the second lap.

Gooman looks back

"He's catching up, he has to have some kind of racing experience for this level competition."

Gooman enters the final stretch, and full throttles.

Smoke fills the arena!

"Overdrive!"

Takeshi easily passes up Gooman, then takes a massive lead.

"I can't lose the whole clubs watching!" Gooman screams.

A grin forms on Takeshi's face.

Takeshi passes the final lap, winning his first ever practice race!

As he exits his bright red car, smoke is coming out of his tires. The whole racing club is in shock.

"He might have a shot at the national title." Coach Vulcan says.

"Hey kid?"

"Yeah what's up coach?" Takeshi responds.

"What do you say about having a shot for the eastern regional title." Coach Vulcan asks.

Takeshi's heart races.

"Yeah of course that sounds great!"

The tournament will consist of 32 contestants. The rules are simple, every match is a 1v1 match, and the first past the second lap wins.

"Here's some tapes of your first opponent. The match is in 1 month so spend this time preparing as much as possible."

"You got it coach!"

Takeshi steps through the front door, "How did your first practice go?" His mom asks.

"It went amazing, but I'm going to my room I need to do some studying!"

He runs to his room, sits down his bag then swiftly inserts the tape into his tv.

His opponent will be a man named Poodle Fulton. Poodles main skill is his overtake ability.

Which is why he has won 8 matches up to this point with only 2 losses.

"I have a month to train I better use it all!"

"I'm going to bed, but since it's summer I have all day to train in the morning!"

He jumps into his bed, rolls around for a little. Before eventually falling asleep.
