Leo straightened his leg with the heel descending onto his opponent like the blade of an axe. He starts with one foot rising upward as in a crescent kick then the upward arc motion was stopped and then the attacking foot was lowered to strike the target from above. Alexander used both arms, blocking the axe kick. With such speed, Leo then shifted his body, swings his other leg sideways in a circular motion, kicking his opponent with the front of his leg. He chose the front, instead of the instep, ball of foot, toe or shin.
