Ina small town in Japan, there lived a high school student named Kaito.He was an average student, with no special talents or abilities. Butone day, everything changed when he discovered he could slow downtime.

Itall started when Kaito accidentally dropped his pencil during class.As it fell to the ground, he felt like everything around him wasmoving in slow motion. Confused and intrigued, he tried to pick upthe pencil but found that he could move faster than everyone else. Hequickly grabbed the pencil and time returned to normal.

Atfirst, Kaito thought it was just a coincidence, but as he continuedto test his ability, he realized that he could control time. He couldslow it down, speed it up, and even stop it completely. Excited andamazed, Kaito couldn't wait to tell someone about his newfound power.

Butas he tried to explain it to his best friend, Yumi, she didn'tbelieve him. She thought he was just making it up to impress her.Feeling disappointed and frustrated, Kaito decided to keep hisability a secret.

Thenext day at school, Kaito is still thinking about his ability. Hecan't concentrate on his classes, and he keeps staring at the clock,waiting for the bell to ring.

Whenthe lunch bell finally rings, Kaito quickly grabs his bag and runsoutside to the courtyard. He finds a secluded spot under a tree andstarts to slow down time.

Hewatches as the other students slowly walk by, oblivious to hispresence. He feels powerful and invincible, but at the same time, heis also afraid. What if someone finds out about his ability?

Suddenly,a girl from his class walks by. She is carrying a stack of books andshe trips over a tree root, falling to the ground. The books scattereverywhere, and the girl cries out in pain. Kaito is the only one whosees what happened, and he can't just sit there and watch her suffer.

Hequickly runs over to her and starts to help her pick up the books. Hetries to be discreet, but the girl notices him and asks what he isdoing.

Kaitotells her that he saw her fall and wanted to help. The girl issurprised and thankful, and she introduces herself as Sayaka. Shesays that she has never seen Kaito before, and he tells her that heis new to the school. They start to talk, and Sayaka tells Kaito thatshe has always been clumsy, and that she is grateful for his help.

Afterthey finish picking up the books, Kaito offers to walk Sayaka to thenurse's office. She agrees, and they walk together, talking abouttheir classes and their lives. Kaito is surprised by how easy it isto talk to Sayaka, and he feels a connection with her.

Asthey approach the nurse's office, Sayaka asks Kaito if he wants tomeet her again after school. Kaito is surprised and excited, and hequickly agrees. They make plans to meet at the gate, and Sayakathanks him again for helping her.

Afterschool, Kaito waits by the gate, excited and nervous to see Sayaka.She soon arrives, and they decide to go to a nearby cafe. They sitdown and order drinks, and they continue their conversation fromearlier.

Theytalk about their lives and their interests, and Kaito is surprised byhow easy Sayaka is to talk to. He is usually shy and reserved aroundgirls, but with Sayaka, he feels comfortable and confident. They soonrealize that they have a lot in common, and they laugh and joketogether.

Asthey continue to talk, they learn more about each other, and theybegin to understand each other on a deeper level. Kaito begins to seeSayaka as more than just a friend, and Sayaka feels the same way.They look into each other's eyes and smile, knowing that theirrelationship has become something special.

Eventually,Kaito has to go home, but he promises to meet Sayaka the next day. Heleaves the cafe, feeling happy and excited, and Sayaka watches himleave, smiling and thinking about their time together.

AsKaito walks home, he thinks about Sayaka and how lucky he is to havemet her. He knows that their relationship has only just begun, and heis looking forward to seeing where it will go.

Thenext day, Kaito goes to school and can't wait to see Sayaka. But whenhe gets to class, she isn't there. He waits all day, but she doesn'tshow up.

Concerned,Kaito decides to go to Sayaka's house after school. He knocks on thedoor, but no one answers. He peers through the window, and he seesthat the house is empty.

Kaitois confused and worried. He tries calling Sayaka's phone, but shedoesn't answer. He thinks about going to the police, but he decidesto try one more time.

Thenext day, Kaito returns to Sayaka's house, hoping to find her. Butonce again, the house is empty. Kaito is starting to get desperate.

Then,suddenly, Kaito remembers that Sayaka told him that she had anability. He wonders if it has something to do with her disappearance.

Kaitogoes home and does some research online. He discovers that there arepeople in the world who have special powers. He learns that there arepeople who can manipulate fire, people who can move objects withtheir minds, and people who can even fly.

Kaitois shocked and excited. He thinks that maybe Sayaka is one of thesepeople, and that she used her power to disappear.

Thenext day, Kaito goes back to Sayaka's house. He tries to enter thehouse, but it is locked. He looks through the window, and he issurprised to see Sayaka's parents.

Kaitoknocks on the door, and they open it. He asks them where Sayaka is,and they tell him that they don't know. They say that she disappearedtwo days ago.

Kaitois confused. If her parents don't know where she is, then how canthey be in the house? He looks at them closely, and he realizes thatthey aren't real.

Kaitois shocked and angry. He yells at the parents, and they disappear.

Kaitorealizes that Sayaka has used her ability to create an illusion ofher parents. He realizes that she has been using her ability toprotect herself.

Kaitois worried and scared. He wonders where Sayaka is, and what hashappened to her.

Thatnight, Kaito can't sleep. He keeps thinking about Sayaka and herability. He is worried about her, and he wants to find her.

Thenext day, Kaito decides to skip school and go look for Sayaka. Hegoes to the places they visited together, but he doesn't find her.

Ashe walks through the city, he passes a newsstand. He sees a headlineabout a string of robberies in the area.

Kaitorealizes that the robberies could be connected to Sayaka'sdisappearance. He decides to go to the police station and report it.

Atthe police station, Kaito tells the officer about the robberies andabout Sayaka. The officer tells him that they will look into it.

Kaitogoes home, feeling frustrated and helpless. He decides to go to bedearly.

Thatnight, Kaito has a dream. He dreams that he is walking through thecity and he sees a figure in the distance.

Thefigure is shrouded in darkness, and Kaito can't see their face.

Thefigure moves closer, and Kaito recognizes the person as Sayaka.

Kaitois relieved to see her, but then he notices that something is wrong.She is moving strangely, and she is making an odd noise.

Kaitogets closer, and he sees that Sayaka is covered in blood.

Kaitowakes up, sweating and shaking. He is terrified.

Thenext day, Kaito decides to go to the library and do some research onhis ability. He wants to find out more about it and how it works.

Kaitospends the day at the library, reading books and articles about hisability.

Helearns that he can control time, and that he can stop, slow down, andspeed up time.

Healso learns that he can't go back in time, and that he can't use hisability on other people.

Kaitoleaves the library, feeling empowered and determined.

Hegoes home and starts to plan how he can use his ability to findSayaka.

Thatnight, Kaito has another dream. He dreams that he is sitting in hisroom, and he sees Sayaka appear in front of him.

Sayakais covered in blood, and she tells Kaito that she is sorry.

Shetells him that she was kidnapped and killed, and that she is trappedin his room.

Kaitois shocked and upset. He reaches out to touch Sayaka, but shedisappears.

Kaitowakes up, heart racing.

Heis terrified and confused.

Hewonders if his ability has something to do with what is happening.

Thenext day, Kaito doesn't go to school. He stays in his room, trying tofigure out what is going on.

Hehas more dreams, and in each dream, Sayaka tells him that she issorry and that she is trapped.

Kaitois starting to think that Sayaka is somehow contacting him from theother side.

Hestarts to wonder if he can use his ability to help her.

Thatnight, Kaito decides to try something.

Hegoes into his room and closes the door. He focuses on his ability,and he tries to stop time.

Hefeels a strange sensation, and he opens his eyes.

Tohis surprise, the room is completely frozen.

Hegets up and starts to explore.

Everythingis still and silent.

Kaitowalks through the room, amazed and scared.

Hesees himself sleeping on the bed, and he sees the room exactly as itwas when he entered it.

Then,suddenly, something changes.

Theair in the room becomes heavier, and the lights start to flicker.

Kaitois terrified.

Hetries to run, but he can't move.

Thelights go out, and the room is plunged into darkness.

Then,a voice speaks.

"I'msorry, Kaito."

Kaitowakes up, covered in sweat.

Hesits up in bed, breathing heavily.

Heis terrified and confused.

Whatjust happened?

Didhe really hear Sayaka's voice?

Didshe contact him from the other side?

Kaitoisn't sure, but he knows he has to find out.

Thenext day, Kaito skips school again and goes to the library.

Hespends the day reading everything he can find about ghosts and theafterlife.

Helearns that ghosts can contact the living, but only if they have astrong connection.

Hewonders if his connection with Sayaka is strong enough.

Thatnight, Kaito decides to try and contact Sayaka again.

Hegoes into his room and closes the door.

Hefocuses on his ability, and he tries to slow down time.

Tohis surprise, the room starts to spin.

Hecloses his eyes, and he sees himself floating above the room.

Thespinning stops, and the room is still and silent.

Kaitoopens his eyes, and he is in a different place.

Heis standing in a dark hallway, and he can see Sayaka's body lying onthe floor.

Kaitois shocked and scared.

Heapproaches Sayaka's body, and he sees that she is covered in blood.

Sheopens her eyes and looks at him.

"I'msorry, Kaito," she says.

"Ididn't want this to happen."

Kaitois confused and scared.

Hewants to know what happened to Sayaka.

"Whodid this to you?" he asks.

"Ican't tell you," Sayaka says. "I'm sorry."

"Whynot?" Kaito asks.

"BecauseI made a deal," Sayaka says
