In Which Milk, Orange and Drink are All Part of Dinner.

She didnt know what to say while he continued to stare at her and scribble on his book so she was about to look to Miss Marcey for help when the man said something.

"Anastasia Brown?" It came out as a question.

"Ye...ye..yes sir." Ana had never felt more intimidated in her entire life. Was it his voice or his looks or the way his eyes completely captured hers. He was leaving her speechless.

He stopped scribbling and closed the pad without looking at it. The left side of his lips seem to be pulled up slightly or maybe it was just her eyes doing some funny tricks again. His deep voice continued. "I will name this dress after you. You are hired." He said and threw the pad to Miss Marcey who caught it like a pro. No doubt this wasnt the first time he would do that.

"What? I have been begging you for so long but you refuse to name a dress after me but you make a dress after her...I smell unfairness."

He glance at Miss Marcey and just nods his head. She opens the pad and checks it before saying. "I will have them send the material in tomorrow."

By now, he was staring at his hands as he questioned. "Miss Brown, when can you start work?"

"Anytime!" Ana blurts and Miss Marcet stares at her. "I mean tomorrow morning of course."

He didnt raise his head and kept staring at his hands before cracking his knuckles. "Good. I will have a contract drafted and send it out to your email. Look through it and let me know if you need to change anything."

"Yes..yes sir. Thank you sir."

"We have seen your designs. You have a beautiful talent Anastasia." It was Miss Marcet that said this.

Feeling her heart swell, she smiles brightly at her. Which designer didnt like their work being complimented?

The man got on his feet and swiftly walks out of the room. Ana watched his back view as he left th3 room and took a deep breath once he left hoping to catch his scent but she was left with nothing. His face didnt look intimidating. He didnt have a poker expression on. Infact when he was staring at her and a scribbling away, he looked like he was trying his best to wear his friendly look even though she did feel like he was too focused on what he was scribbling.

Could it be that he was checking her out? Or he got his inspiration from her?

"It is the first time he has named his dress after someone else." Miss Marcey comments and drops the pad bringing Ana back to reality.

"Oh..." was all she could say.

"Well..Anastasia. you passed the interview. You can return tomorrow and we will talk about the contract. Okay?"

"Okay." Is it always this easy to land a job? Has it always been this easy to pass an interview? No one was asking for her degree. No one was throwing her intimidating questions and hoping she would fail. No one was telling her to design. It just went smooth. So smooth she was starting to think it might this might be a dream. Who was she kidding? Things had never really gone well for her in life.

Miss Marcet wanted to say something when they heard voices outside.

"A young lady tried to infil..."

Ana could hear a cold voice interfering. "Darl, you are fired." Before they heard shoe heels drifting away. Miss Marcey walked out and Ana folows. She met the Demon who had intentionally given her wrong directions looking in some direction with tears rolling down her cheek. So demons cry too?

Were they not supposed to shed tears of blood?

"Darl, go to the company and get your salary for the month will you?" The demon didnt even say word and only galres at Ana before walking out.

Ana didnt know what she had done but she was glad the idiot had been fired. She was no saint and wouldnt feel bad for her. If she hadnt known the way around here, she would have probably being kicked out without even getting through the interview.

The demon whose name she now knew was Darl, turns around and swiftly walks away. She wasnt pleading or saying any word in her defense and she felt it was silly. Or maybe not. Maybe she is just very familair with their boss and knows he wouldn't have mercy on anyone.

As if Miss Marcey could read minds, she told Ana. "The boss is quite strict once he lays his rules. If you break it, the consequences follows and he never changes his minds. Just as he does not like to repeat himself." She gave her a knowing look as if she was warning Anastasia.

Fisting her hand she smiles back at her. "Of course. I will note that. Thank you."

"Good." She checks her wristwatch and asked her. "I will be getting off work soon and it is too late to ask you to stay for lunch but it is also too early for dinner. Nevertheless, why dont you stay for dinner Anastasia?"

The way Miss Marcey calls her name as if she is very familair with her. She shake her head and politely rejects the option. "Thank you very much Miss Marcey but I would rather not. I live just adjacent here and it wont take me long to get home."

Miss Marcey raised a brow. "Really? Intersting. No wonder you were able to get here so quick. I would still love it if you could stay for dinner though. I would have accompanied the boss to eat..." she starts to walk in the left direction and Ana had no choice but to follow. "But I have been busy these days. Take it as it is part of your job. Please stay for dinner."

Now, refusing would make her seem rude. And there was no harm in accepting either. "Definitely. Definitely. That sounds lovely. Thank you Marcey."

Wearing a bright smile, she openes the door to another room and Ana followed he4 in. "You are welcome."

Getting inside, she could see it was a huge kitchen and she was faced with the back view of her boss. Miss Marcey clears her throat and the boss turns his body.

His eyes met with Ana first and Ana wanted to force out a shy smile but he was quick to look away, frowning at Miss Marcey.

"I have to leave soon as you know so I have asked Ana to stay for dinner. Please make dinner for two."

Ana could not believe her ears. The boss will be making food?

"Miss Marcey...." he calls in a warning tone suddenly taking interest in a bowl in front of him.

"I will be leaving then. Ana...I hope you will enjoy the food."

Awkward Ana didnt know what to do and quickly holds her sleeve before she left. "Ermmm....I just remembered that I have something really important to do..." Miss Marcey raised a brow now and Ana could see the boss glance in their direction before turning around and focusing on what he was doing before. "What I am saying is...can I quickly go and return for dinner? If I stay for dinner I will have to postpone."

Miss Marcey agreed immediately. "Of course. Of course." Ana quickly followed her out and left The Resurrected. She watched Miss Marcet drive off and said goodbye to the guards before walking to the post office. She couldnt delay Dmitris letter for long else she was scared she might change her mind and just throw it in the bin later. When she got to the post office, she mailed the letter but was called back and told that the address she had input, was now being destroyed.

"I know. But the mailing adress is still there right. Can you just mail it please?" She requests and the officer was nice enough to respond positively.

Fifteen minute later, Ana was back at The Resurrected. The guards didnt ask her what she wanted and immediately let her in. Knowing her way, she walks back to the south building. Quietly walking into the kitchen, she had hoped to just take a seat and not bother her boss but the man turned around once she came in. His ears were probably too sensitive. Shocked, she felt like she had been caught doing something wrong.

"Ermmm..I am back. Do you need help sir..?" He gave her a negative response. And quickly turns around. Ana found his behaviour really weird.

"Take a seat. Should be ready in another fifteen."

"Yes sir." She responds and slides into a seat. He leaves the food on fire and walks to a huge refrigerator.

"Milk?" He questioned and she just sat there staring at him. "Orange?" She didnt know what to say before he rubs his temples and asked while looking into the refrigerator. "Drink?"

"Oh..oh...orange...orabge...thank you. Thak you sir."

Is there a button here that allows anyone to vanish if one feels to embarrassed? She really needs that button..
