The television displayed news about protests at the Malaysian Consulate General in several provinces of Indonesia and in Jakarta. Some people protested outside the Malaysian Embassy for Indonesia. The news explained that the government was still investigating and having discussions about the extrajudicial arrests made by Malaysia.
Malaysians who saw the news on television and viral posts about the extrajudicial arrest of innocent people and their subsequent death sentences were divided into three groups.
The first group believed the posts and news, losing faith in the government for allowing law enforcement to make arrests outside the law and sentence innocent people to death.
The second group did not believe the news and posts, claiming that the arrest was legal, as it targeted citizens who were about to commit criminal acts in Indonesia, and that Indonesia should be grateful for Malaysia's law enforcement saving them from dangerous individuals.
