Chapter 19.

Calico and Luna were running through the forest looking for the "faint heartbeat" and Large gathering of magic.

They finally closed in on those large magic signatures and hid behind two tall trees when they got close.

Luna, (Whispering): Isn't that, Aiden?

Calico, (Whispering): *Sigh* Looks like it alright, but why's he passed out like that and look it's that jerk that tried to steal our Crystal before, he's about to attack Aiden.

Luna, (whispering): Do we attack them?

Calico(Whispering): Are you crazy? Look those guys. Do we look like the type of people with who's got the strength and magic to fight them?

Luna, (Whispering): I can't let them harm Aiden, he saved me, I owe him.

Calico(Whispering): He saved you? From what?

Luna, (whispering): I... I'd rather not talk about it.

She looked away.

Calico: Oh, I'm sorry I asked.

Calico's POV

I made things awkward.

Luna: Calico look!

Calico: Huh?

They both looked at Jack about to cast a spell on Aiden.

Luna: What do we do?

Calico: Uh...

As he was about to say something they heard a loud sound from where Aiden was, then everywhere was covered in Ice.

Jack: You were lying down, how did you dodge that?!

Aiden: Mmnh...Zzzz...

Jack: Are you mocking me?!

Aiden: Mmhghm...Mghhh...Zzz...

Aiden dodged Jack Ice's spell half asleep.

Jack: I'll beat the crap out of you!

Jack went in to punch Aiden, he dodged and jack kept repeatedly trying to either freeze or punch Aiden, but dodged every single one of his attacks while still sleeping.

Aser: I'll admit, he dodges gracefully.

Breeze: It's as if he can see where Jack's going to attack and he avoids it.

Jack: Why are you complimenting him?!

Aser: Your pathetic display is why I'm singing his praise, for a Nobel you are weak and undignified, you can't even make one lowly peasant go down on his knees.

Breeze: A little harsh but very true.

*RUSTLE*

Aser: Who's there?!

[Calico and Luna behind the tree]

Calico: Crap, I saw a cockroach.

Luna: You couldn't just kill it silently?!

Aser used his gravity magic and dragged both of them out of hiding.

Aser: What were you two doing over there?

Jack/Breeze: Calico?

Aser: You know them?

Breeze: So you're here, my little calico.

Aser: "My"?

Jack: You stole my Crystal from me!

Calico: You stole it from us first!

Aser dropped them to the ground and added more weight on them.

Luna/Calico: Argh!

Aser: I don't really care about this Crystal hunting again but I'm in a foul mood and I'm going to take it out on you two.

He added more weight on Calico alone.

Calico: Argh!!

Aser walked up to him.

Calico: I don't like you for some reason.

Calico: No... offense but I'm glad... I'd rather be liked by...a girl.

Aser: Smart tongue, let's see how long it las- Huh?

Aiden was awake and held Aser's wrist.

Aiden: *Yawn* What are you doing?

Aser: You finally woke up. Friends of yours?

Aiden: Yeah, can you let them go, that looks super comfortable.

Aser: You're making demands in front of me? Let go my hand, you don't wanna lose it now, do you?

Aiden: That depends on who I'm fighting, you're not strong enough to make me lose a nail.

Aser: Bold now, are we?!

Aser smirked.

Aser: Fight me for them, if you win, I'll let them go, but if I win you're running around this whole forest naked and I'll make the girl one of servants.

Aiden: Counter propose.

Aiden shot flames at Calico and Luna and the gravity bind became undone.

Aser, Breeze and Jack looked in shock.

Luna: Hey, I can move again.

Calico: So can I.

Aiden: Great! Now can you both carry me? I'm slightly out of it due to standing up to fast....and I think I got bitten by a snake or something.

He fell and they caught him.

Aiden: Hehe, note to self don't sleep out in the middle of the woods at night. Effects? You might get bitten by something.

Luna: Who's he talking to?

Calico: No idea. Let's keep going.

Aser: Hold it!

They stopped.

Aser: What did you just do, Aiden brightfil?

Aiden: Are you asking because you want to know or you just want me to tell you so you can attack me to see for yourself?

Aser: ....

Aiden: It was the latter wasn't it? *Sigh* Okay guys, put me down I can stand on my own now.

Aser: You're too overconfident for a commoner.

Aiden: Uh...I guess my behavior is out of the norm but I wouldn't call it "Overconfident"

Aser: Then maybe you're not bright enough to understand what my magic is...

Aiden: Probably...

Aser: Let's have a suitable stage then.

Aser crushed the trees in their surroundings to create a wide ring, then raised the earth up to create a stage for them to have their fight.

Aiden: Impressive! I'm not looking forward to this.

Aser: Scared?

Aiden: Not if you.... I'm scared of heights!!! Ah!!!

Aser: Huh?

The spectators looked dumbstruck with a hint of annoyance on their faces.

Aser began to laugh.

Aser: Hahahahah, what the hell is this?

Aiden held on to the ground like his life depended on it.

Aiden: No fair! (>∆<) Why'd you have to make it this high!

Aser: "Perhaps I overestimated you, brightfil"... Is what I would have said if you didn't undo my gravity bind like it was nothing.

Aiden: Was it that strong?

Aser: It wasn't, the problem is that you're not even a sorcerer who is capable of undoing spells, you're a fire user, and you undid my magic with flames, you're hiding something, tell me what it is and I'll let you down from here.

Aiden: I wasn't really keeping my power a secret or anything, my behavior makes people don't even care what ability I have so they never ask.

Aser: I've seen you as a potential threat so what your REAL ability?

Calico: I did suspect Aiden have a special ability but not enough that he'd be called a threat.

Aiden: I don't really have a name for it since it's part of my magic, but I call it [Canceler flames]. They have the ability to destroy the magic behind a spell.

Wind blew everywhere and tension started to rise in the air.

Aser: Is that so...? You're lying aren't you?

Aiden: Huh?

Aser: "Canceler flames"? You maybe joking, no such a spell or magic with that concept exists.

Aiden: But it's true.

Aser: Don't lie to me, the only thing capable of negating magic is anti magic nothing else.

Aiden:*Sigh* I knew you wouldn't believe me.

Aser: If what you say is true then are you a descendant of Nobel or a Royal from another kingdom? Because such an ultra Rare Magic such as this would never fall into the hands of a commoner.

Aiden: Nah, I'm from a run-down village from the south of here.

Aser: Village from the south.... Wait, you're from sheates?!

Aiden: Bingo!

Aser: You lying again! That village is near deserted, in famine and lies on the brink of ruins and you're telling me you're from there and able to possess such large amounts of magic and wield a god-like ability? You're definitely hiding something.

Aiden: *Sigh* Can we just fight, I feel like I'm finally free from the snake's venom.

Aser: I'll make you spit out the truth if I have to break you!
