Chapter One - The Massacre

- TAKE COVER!!!

As she shouted, the whole mall was filled with screams, people ran as they struggled to get out of the building. Blood spilled like water and bodies dropped like flies. There were eleven of them fully armed with protective gear to boot. The mall cops stood their grounds surprisingly but they were overpowered and had regrouped next behind a concrete slab that was being bombarded with bullets

Emily had formulated a plan but the risk was great, she turned over to her son and looked him in the eye, she could see he was scared but tried not to show it

- Nikko, when we draw their fire away from you...I want you to run...run as fast as you can and don't look back

- No mum, they came for me...I am ready to fight, to die trying

-We had talked about this...it is time...and you know what to do

-I can not lose you

She signaled one of the cops to stay back and protect Nikko. She controlled her heavy breathing and slowly tuned out all the sound around her, she was focused

Aim...fire, down went one of the gunmen...she had moved in with her squad which were constantly under fire

The opportunity came and he bolted towards the exit with his escort just behind him

The air was cold as they came out, the sounds from inside could still be heard...piles of bodies littered the ground

In the blink of an eye, blood was on his face and he watched as his escort fell to the ground with a hole through his head revealing pieces of his brain. His stomach became upset, he reacted slowly...he felt a sudden burst of pain all around his body, he fell facedown...screaming as he clenched unto his leg which was bleeding badly, and soon he blacked out

His vision slowly returned as he opened his eyes, confused about where he was and very weak...his hands felt restrained, the shackles kept his hands from moving freely

Suddenly his eyes widened...he tried to move it but could not, it had completely being bandaged over, he uses all of his strength but he could not move his leg

A door at the other side of the room swung open, and through it came two men both were muscular and had unique markings on their faces...both were armed of course

Silent...they said nothing paying no attention to Nikko's ranting. Then came another man but this one was slender than the rest, his eyes glowed light blue and he did not possess any face markings

Their eyes were locked in battle...both stared into the soul of one another

-Come on, please

-Pretty please

-NO!!!

-Talk about being rude

He crouched down to Nikko and cracked his fingers, his eyes then redirected from his face to his bandaged leg...he hummed before saying anything

-It destroyed your bone...the MK 13...that leg is totally useless now

Silence...it filled the room for some seconds then he continued

-But just imagine your abilities could help heal you

Nikko had his fact to the ground trying to avoid eye contact, it was once again silent. The sound of drops of water hitting the ground could be heard...over and over again. He stood up and looked around calmly with his hands in pocket, the room filled up with a tune as Theo whistled slowly

Unpredictability, that was his most dangerous weapon and Nikko knew it, he could not anticipate his next move, just like every other time. This was not the first time Theo had tried to capture Nikko, in fact, it was the forth

He was breathing heavily...has he gave it a hard thought, then glanced at his leg on more time. He extended his hand out and Theo's eyes grew wide with joy, he had a smile across his face, he grabbed onto his hands tight
