Unknown Child

Kreo appeared in a strange place. Everything was white, except the one he was looking at.

In front of him was a golden magic circle, with glowing golden runes. The magic circle wasn't just one, but ten magic circle stacking above each other.

Below those circles were a little girl, binded by multiple golden chains spurting from the white ground.

The girl look as young as a seven years old, with black hair and wearing a black dress. She was hugging a black and red sphere on her chest.

"....a little girl? What is this place? And...why is she tied in this place?"

A bunch of questions came from Kreo, but none of them were answered.

Out of curiosity, Kreo circled the magic circle, while examining it.

Slowly, with a little hesitation, he attempted to touch the first layer of the magic circle, to his surprise, it was rock solid.

Seeing that the golden chains and magic circle, Kreo thought of the possibility that the chains were created by the magic circles.

Taking a deep breath, he step back, sending a punch to the golden runes.

"Here goes nothing!"

He shouted as his fist hit the golden rune, sensing Kreo's intentions, a golden chain spurtting from the ground hitting him violenty.

Kreo's body flew back like a broken rag doll as his body bounced a few times before stopping.

"...wha...t t-he fuck...!" His voice was shaking due to the pain caused by the golden chain, not even any of his healing abilities worked. No, they were working, but somewhat slower than before.

Looking down on his body, he saw his whole armor covered in cracks, some of the parts have already fallen on the ground.

Not even bothering to stand up, he hastily removed all of his armor, putting them back on [Inventory].

After that, he muttered "Equip." as a black light covered his entire body, transforming into a black full body set armor, except the head.

"Not gonna lie, I feel much more comfortable with this armor."

Standing up, as the pain already vanished, he walked towards the little girl.

He grabbed the sphere from the girls hand before teleporting far away, but still enough for him to see the little girl.

Seeing that no chain was coming after him, he was dissapointed.

"My plan falied huh."

Originally, Kreo was thinking that the chains were protecting the sphere and the little girl. He was hoping that the chains binding the little girl would chase after him the moment he took the sphere, giving him enough time to take the girl away from the magic circles and golden chains.

He tried using [Appraisal] but it only showed ??? on the screen in front of him.

Putting the sphere into his [Inventory], Kreo summoned [Desolate Black Sword].

Teleporting himself in mid air, in front of the magic circles, his sword turns into countless afterimage and black streak of light as tens of thick black arc shoot from his sword. He was using [Sword Intent] and [Sword Energy] at the same time, while making sure the girl won't get hit by his attacks.

The magic circles was cut like butter as the sword slashes pass through them.

As the magic circles dissappear, the chains binding the little girl dissappeared as well.

Landing elegeantly on the ground Kreo looked at the sleeping little girl while his face was pale.

Executing both [Sword Intent] and [Sword Energy] wasn't in his capability yet he still did it, causing him to feel dissy.

Stabbing his sword on the ground, he used it to support his body.

[Player has executed a skill beyond his comprehension and is now facing backlash. All stats will be weaken by 60% for 3 hours.]

"This..." He was speechless at the notification panel in front of him.

"Mmm..." Kreo instinctively looked towards the little girl, who is the only person other than him to make a sound.

The little girls eyes opened, revealing a bright red color eyes.

"Who are you?" The little asked as she stared at Kreo's galaxy eyes, her red eyes containing not even a hint of emotion.

Just as he was about to say something, the girl began to look for something.

"Ball...ball...ball..." She muttered in emotionless voice as she began looking around.

'Ball? Is she talking about that thing?'

Instantly, a sphere with black and red color appeared in Kreo's hands, catching the girls attention.

The sphere float away from his hands and began flying towards the little girl, who caught the ball and hugged it.
