The villagers chanted in their rage, demanding the execution of the two prisoners. David was grateful for them to believe his words without thinking of the consequences, but it was better to be thorough. Even if the villagers weren't worried, Lioz might eventually be.
"Everyone, this is a truth pill concocted by the Jade Sky Sect for interrogation. Once they take it, they must tell the truth for every question I ask them. Lying is impossible!"
David raised his hand, a shiny yellow pill between his pinched fingers. If one would look carefully they'd notice it had some dimmer parts, meaning it was imperfect.
He shoved it down the throat of the black-haired woman, slapping her face twice to wake help her concentrate. The coldness in her body faded as though on a cue.
