Raula
Bracing myself for the impact, I shut my eyes and lower my head, burying it in my hands. The impact doesn't come. I only feel his hands in my hair, massaging me, caressing my scalp. This should feel good but I am too surprised and annoyed at the same time to let that get into my head.
I look up into his eyes.
"Don't look so scared, baby girl. I won't hurt you," he says his voice soothingly calm.
"Don't bother. You already hurt me. You hurt me beyond repair," I respond.
"Not anymore. I won't hurt you anymore. I promise," he says. There is honesty in his eyes but eyes can be deceptive. I don't even care if he is honest or trying to make a fool of me. I have a mate. I shouldn't be listening to this bullshit. There is no way I am ever going to give this jerk a second chance. I have already been marked by Damien.
