One-Punch Man: Legend Of The Ultimate S-Class Hero

A 7-year-old boy who was supposed to lead a normal life receives the power of a mysterious powerhouse. Unfortunately, his parents sold him off to scientists interested in his power. Arriving at the laboratory, Xion discovers he isn't the only one to have been abandoned by his family... —————— This is a work of fan fiction using characters from the One Punch Man world, which is written by ONE. The story I tell here about Xion is my invention, and it is not purported or believed to be part of ONE's story canon. This story is intended for entertainment only and is not part of the official storyline. I am grateful to ONE for his wonderful story about One Punch Man, for, without his webcomic, my story would not exist. AN: Cover is not mine.

Mysterious State

AN: I suck at writing fight scenes. Don't mind this chapter too much.

———

This is going to be a tough fight for sure.

My opponent is an experienced fighter who has trained for decades whereas I am just a kid without any experience.

"To be honest with you, I did not expect such a request from my client. After all, it's not every day that someone would ask you to fight a kid in a duel. But you caught my interest with your superpower." Ghost spoke with a voice full of confidence, "Try to keep up with me."

Like a bullet, a shuriken spun through the air. Too fast to dodge.

Since when did he throw it?!

I barely deflected it with my claws.

Continuing his assault, Ghost kicked me from behind as my nose almost smashed itself against the floor. Blood mixed up with some dirt in my mouth.

"Never get yourself distracted by a mere success. Stand up."

Is this what a fight looks like?

Ruthless.

If it was a real battle to the death, I would have died without even knowing how...

I won't repeat the same mistake. This time, I will constantly stay on my guard.

The fight began once again the moment I stood up on my two feet.

Accepting his invitation to strike first, I charged at him.

"You still have a long way to go." Ghost scoffed as he casually blocked my punch, his grip so powerful that might crush my hand as if it was a water balloon.

There is no way I can beat him...

Something started to spin at high speed and making a tingling sensation in my chest.

This feeling of being weak and being under the control of someone else again is coming back again...

All I wanted was to live a happy life and be normal like everyone else but those scientists locked me up as if I was an animal and now this guy who thinks he is superior to me!

How can those ants dare to look down on a GOD?!

Evading my attack came at the price of having his claws chopped like paper. His blood oozed out of his cuts.

"What?!"

Hearing his shout, I came back to my sense and looked in disbelief my claws covered in his blood.

What happened just a moment ago?

Everyone was watching silently at the side. Among them, Tatsumaki had stopped enjoying the feeling of being outdoor again, her eyes set exclusively on me.

"Doctors!" After Derald called for help, many people wearing medical instruments came rushing toward my opponent who was trying to stop the bleeding with his palms.

Dikke approached me and spoke to me as if I was a prisoner, "Since the fight finished too early, we haven't been able to collect many pieces of information. For now, Derald will bring you back. Your performance today was above my expectation."

Back in the cell, not able to stand her gaze anymore, I asked, "What are you doing?"

With a sigh of relief, Tatsumaki jumped on my lap, "I just thought you were not my Xion anymore..."

Maybe she was talking about that mysterious state...

Also, what was that thing spinning in my chest?

My grip around her waist tightened, "What do you mean?"

After a moment of thinking, she replied, "Uh...How do I explain it...There was a disturbance in your aura...?"

Disturbance in my aura...

Maybe this has something to do with her psychic power?

"Whatever...You are still my Xion. That's all that matters." she declared after seeing my frown.

To reassure her, I gently caress her back while saying, "I will always stay the same no matter what."

"Hmpf!" Pressing her forehead against mine, she mumbled, "You better keep your words."

In the future, I must be cautious to never be in that dangerous state again. Back then, I scratched intending to exterminate my opponent.

Besides this, I might hurt Tatsumaki in the process and this is something I will never forgive myself for.

Anyway, I just experienced my first fight, though quick.

I never imagined that it could be so difficult as I didn't even know how to attack my opponent back then.

Furthermore, the gap between our speed is so huge that I only noticed his shuriken at the last moment and did not see how he got behind me in under a second.

Thinking about how to improve my physical prowess, I almost wanted to hit my head against the wall.

There might not be many things to do in this tiny cell but I could still train myself by doing workouts. I have just wasted a month of training.

At least, I could play all day long...

From now on, I will spend half of my time doing exercises and the other half playing with her.

Interrupting my thinking, Tatsumaki pinned me down on the bed as her finger slowly brushed against my skin while taking off my t-shirt.

"W-What are you doing...?"
