An accidental encounter with a legend
Shiki the Golden Lion, also known as the "Flying Pirate",was the admiral and helmsman of the Golden Lion Pirates. He was also a former member of the Rocks Pirates and the first known prisoner to have ever escaped from Impel Down.
Under the captainship of Rocks D Xebec, Shiki became a powerful pirate. And after the demise of Rocks, Shiki wreaked havoc on the seas. He was used to command the largest pirate fleet of that period during the era of Rogers. He was considered as one of Roger's greatest rivals.
He was an ambitious man with a strong desire to rule the world. He believed that if Rogers teamed up with him then he could have easily ruled the entire world. He knew that Rogers will never serve under anyone. So he decided to form an alliance with him. But in his entire life all of his attempts to bring Roger to his side, went in vein. The man simply didn't have any wish or desire to conquer the world. At the end he faced a humiliating defeat in the hands of Roger.
He valued power, and respected those who have it, enemy or not. For this reason, he believed that Roger being executed in the East Blue, the weakest of the Four Blues, was nothing short of humiliating considering the status the Pirate King had attained.
According to Garp, he is not the type of person who could tolerate a peaceful era for long. But Shiki would not instigate something big without extensive planning and preparation beforehand. In short, Shiki was nothing more than a warmonger.
Shiki had a knack for planning, often coming up with grandiose plans that can be incredibly long-term, and even Whitebeard seemed to warily view him in this regard.
That was the sole reason why he was happy to ready for years long to start his plan of conquering the world again. After he broke out from impel down, in the cost of his legs, he made grandiose plan to conquer the world again. He started to gather what left of his crew and went underground.
When Doctor Indigo told him that the development of the SIQ formula on the fauna has been completed, and it would take about twenty years to complete the process on all of the floating Islands, he was very happy to wait.
But as everything was going smoothly, at least in Shiki's terms, suddenly a storm appeared out of no where.
The only thing Shiki has ever shown fear of, were storms. Because his fleet was once devastated by one when battling the Roger Pirates, he considered storms as bad omen. Obviously a pirate who has once ruled, one of the biggest armadas in the grand line, storms should be child's play, where the weather is more chaotic then the personality of his former captain, Rocks. But Shiki hated and feared storms a little bit because even he loses his full control of his flying masses in the middle of one.
That was the main reason why he left the new world and came back to the paradise. He wanted to have a more predictable whether while he waits for his plan to come into fruition.
But this time the storm was very strong. It was even stronger than what shiki has ever faced in his entire life is a pirate.
As a result he was forced to bring all of his floating Islands to the sea.
But he wasn't expecting the storm to also bring his demise with it.

"What the hell with this storm ?
I have never seen a storm this intense before !" Tia complained as she tried to take control of the ship.
"This kind of storm is very intense and unusual. Believe me, I have sailed in the new world for a long time. Even there I have never faced a storm this strong ever before." Gloriosa was also worried.
"Fortunately this ship is very tough ! I think it should at least survive !"silver shouted from the crows nest.
"Hey ! Captain ! Am I seeing things or is that really an island falling from the sky ?" Sandersonia called out to Hancock.
The sea was full of high tides and strong wind. So it was very hard to see ahead but an island is not something one can miss. And there were multiple of them falling from the sky.
"Shit ! You are right ! Those Islands will create a large tidal wave if they fall directly in front of us ! At this rate our ship is going to sink !" Tia shouted in alarm.
"They are not only in front of us ! Look above !" Lami shouted panicking.
In between this chaos, Hancock was calm. If that Island fall on them then they will definitely get crushed under it.
"Just try to stabilize the ship and deal with the rubbles that are going to fall on the ocean ! I will handle the rest !"
Hancock told her crew and jumped high. Concentrating all her strength in her legs, she coated them with armament Haki. She let loose her conqueror's haki to empower her overall output. Emission and internal destruction property of her haki worked together. She kicked upwards with all her strength.
Fortunately the entire Island was made by different rock layers that was not strong enough to endure her attack. The entire Island got split in half and fell into the ocean on both the sides of silver pearl creating huge tidal waves which cancelled out each other.
With that Boa pirates avoided a crisis !

AN: Another exciting arc is going to start. I have decided to make Shiki little less strong as big mom. I mean he will be able to use advance conqueror's haki or coat his attacks with advanced conqueror's haki. But his physical strength will be same as Hancock.
